Time for a third update for this restaurant. My family and I have been coming here for over a decade. This restaurant has changed ownership throughout the years, but the service and quality of the food have remained the same. Let's start with the service. I want to give a special shout-out to Alan and Juaquin, the dynamic duo of this restaurant. They are both very friendly, super attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. They have made every visit welcoming and enjoyable. They are the perfect example of how every server should be. The service here is absolutely exceptional. This restaurant has a cozy, old-school, family-style diner vibe. The inside is always clean and organized. They also decorate the inside of the restaurant depending on the holiday (4th of July, Christmas, etc.). There's also plenty of parking available, which is a huge plus! The portions at this restaurant are pretty generous, you definitely get the most bang for your buck here. I've tried their pancakes, chorizo breakfast burrito, and chorizo chilaquiles. Their pancakes are always big and fluffy. They pair well with eggs and bacon. They are classic diner pancakes in the best way possible. Let's talk about the chorizo breakfast burrito. This is my favorite breakfast item on their menu. This burrito features chorizo, eggs, cheese, and well-cooked potatoes. It is also served with a side of chips and salsa. This burrito is pretty hefty, I can hardly finish it by myself. This restaurant uses some of the most flavorful chorizo in the entire Valley. Last but not least, my second-favorite item: the chorizo chilaquiles. Chilaquiles are a dish that consists of fried corn tortilla pieces simmered in a sauce and topped with various ingredients. The chilaquiles here are simmered in a flavorful red sauce, then topped with cheese, your choice of protein (if you choose one), and an egg. I always choose an over-hard egg and chorizo, as it's my favorite protein at this restaurant. The chilaquiles are also served with rice and beans. Overall, this restaurant is a staple for comfort-food breakfasts and brunches. The generous portions, exceptional service, and delicious meals will keep me coming back for years to come! Driven by 100 times and never stopped before. This time I was looking for a breakfast burrito. Opted for a no meat and added mushrooms. Delicious. Coffee is really good too. Staff amazing. This was a weekday, maybe a couple of regulars eating. I had my order to go, but the restaurant looked like you could sit there, eat with friends or family and just enjoy a nice meal together. Had breakfast at Kountry Folk because I was dropped off a tad early to pick up my car. First, the smiling, friendly welcome, which is truly appreciate at 6:30 in the morning. Many delicious choices on the menu. Had the Super Special. Great food. Everything was perfectly cooked. The pancakes were huge and fluffy. Service was excellent. Sat at the counter. It was quiet with a few local customers at the time. Will certainly be back the next time my car is in for a service. Note: surcharge for card use, which seems to be becoming the norm. Good southern breakfast spot! If you are hungry this is the place you need to be. Prices were not bad for the amount of food you receive. The omelette was scrumptious full of flavor and ingredients as well as the flapjacks. They were so big you can't even call them pancakes, they were fit for a lumberjack. The waitress was very friendly and comforting to talk with. This place is an old school diner style so it's not easy on the eyes but if you're there for the food the aesthetics shouldn't matter. read more

Talk about a diamond in the rough, this place is a hidden job as you walk in your greeted with friendly people, friendly servers. The menu as well thought of it's an American diner with a twist. The coffee is great considering it is a coffee shop. The ambience suits the name of the place. This was my first time and I must say we LOVED it! It is so charming, old school cool, like in the 80s but super super clean, everyone was so nice, I think the coffee guy walked by like 6 times. The food was good, especially for the price which we could not believe. The menu has a lot of variety, so we have to come back and try the other dishes. The waitress was professional, nice and always with a smile. It's so hard to maintain a mom and pop place these days and the new owners bought this place 2 years ago, so a little support and patience can go a long way. I want to congratulate them for keeping something alive in the neighborhood. The decor was charming, reminded me of so many sweet memories. It's on the corner, in the parking lot of a Travel Lodge. Our waiter christopher was phenomenal, he was on top of it. He apologize for taking a few extra minutes to get himself a cup of water, because he's setting had been quite busy. The food was great and huge portions for them cost. So far so good. My blushing bride and I are trying out Kountry Folks Restaurant after many years of wanting to eat here but never doing so. Classic diner menu and kind greeting by the friendly staff. Very noisy kitchen is the entertainment system and it's freezing cold inside. Clean as a whistle, though, and full of regulars. The coffee got compliments from my blushing bride, as did the Christmas mug. Oddly, the Health Department shutdown yesterday is being reported to customers as "closed for the day to shoot a movie". It seems that both are true. But the B rating isn't prominently posted at the entrance. The food... big portions and completely acceptable diner food. Good value for the money. The pork chops were great; I even gnawed on the bones! It's just a shame that the environment was really uncomfortable. read more

The restaurant is very clean and well-maintained; the food is excellent. You get A LOT of very good food for a reasonable price. Sundays are VERY crowded; go early, if possible, on a Sunday. The place was pretty empty when I went in around 10:30am on a Friday. Prices were fair for LA area, but I believe they automatically add on gratuity, so that's unfortunate. They charged me a tip that was smaller than what I would have offered had they not taken it automatically. The food was tasty and filling, but not extraordinary. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs with potatoes and biscuits and gravy. Everything is well seasoned, and I enjoyed it. The ambiance is nothing to write home about. Country themed, of course. *UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP* One of THE best Country Fried Steak n Eggs! Seriously. The gravy is TO DIE FOR! I also love that you have the option for biscuits and gravy as a side for no additional cost. I'm still dreaming of it after a couple of days now haha The service was top notch and was a huge reflection on their incredibly friendly staff. I mean, I don't think I've even seen the bottom of my coffee mug since those refills kept on coming! Parking was convenient as there was plenty on the side of the restaurant. As for ambience, definitely a family spot. I will say the interior is a bit outdated but as mentioned above, it's under new ownership who is eager to make some changes to the massive potential this place has.
