They were a vendor at the recent Queer Summer Market event in Phoenix so this is about their food…read moretruck offerings as opposed to their Gilbert location. They were offering free milkshakes to the first 100 participants and we were lucky enough to score one of those gifts! We decided to just take one and share it and decided on the Frozen Hot Chocolate, which is made with Blue Bell chocolate ice cream, hot cocoa mix, chocolate sauce, marshmallow fluff and a "kosher" marshmallow. I'm just not a big sugar fiend so I found the shake to be extremely sweet and gooey...wife loved it! I didn't try the marshmallow but she said it was good and she could tell it was homemade. We decided we would try the store in Gilbert at some point this summer to see what other goodies they offer. Overall, a good treat and thank you for the free goodie! Sorry, there was so much going on at the moment, I didn't take a photo of the actual milkshake!

I don't even like coconut but I thought it was a nice coconut flavor. My mom decided to order a small container of the peanut butter flavor and the honey date flavor. She added honey granola on top. I also ordered the caramel flavor and honey date flavor, with granola and banana slices on top. My brother ordered the strawberry shortcake smoothie. The yogurt was creamy and tasty. The peanut butter was by far my favorite. I felt that the caramel and the honey date kind of tasted the same, so mixed together it worked fine. The granola was crunchy and sweet, and the banana slices were perfectly ripe. My brother loved his strawberry shortcake smoothie. The total came out to $26 dollars, which is kind of steep in my opinion, but it is fresh, homemade Greek yogurt with as many toppings as you want essentially. The service we got really bumped this place up to the 5 star rating.

AWEFUL service, food and ATTITUDE!! I've been going to this place for years. I love to support local restuarants not chain places and I have remained a loyal customer to LULU a little too LONG!!! Her daughter is a RUDE girl- Who proceeded to confront my guest today after I had convinced her to go the Lulus today for lunch. She ordered the enchildadas without any onions, had noticed first bite that small purple sweet onions inside the meal. She just happen to put a small amount of pico de gallo on her food before asking for new order minus the onions....after 13 to 15 minutes for new order of 1 enchilada and very small portion of rice she actually had to get up to get the new order and was confronted about her having salsa with onions on her meal. She had a smaller portion of food than originally had, and maybe two spoonfuls of rice that she had to pay extra for. SO OVER PRICED, Arroz, frijoles and tortillas no questan tanto... ( that means rice, beans and tortillas are that pricey!) WELL THAT WAS LAST the straw for LULU's... I'm sorry I dont know where MOMMA LULU was today. but your unprofessional service and your overpriced menu are a shame to good mexican food everywhere. I also paid $11.85 for a bowl of menudo and bread, I cant believe I actually paid for it. It wasnt tasteful, the bread wasnt even toasted well. I'll never go or recommend it again. I pre-ordered over the phone due to being in a rush. I arrive on a Saturday afternoon and it is empty. One of the employees 2-3 yr old daughters was running around in the kitchen, behind the counter, and using her sticky hands to touch EVERYTHING including the faucets to the juice, cups, etc. Not only is this a health code violation, it is a safety violation. Then my order arrives and everything is wrong. And the owner is arguing with me because her tickets says "no guacamole, no sour cream" when I ordered "extra guacamole, extra sour cream" and then says "what do you want me to do about it?" in a snotty manner. Then, on another order, they put shredded beef instead of ground beef which is what I ordered, and I ordered NO tomatoes and there are tomatoes on everything. To fix this, they don't re-do it...they think it's ok to scrape the shredded beef off and put the rest on top. They didn't apologize. They acted like I was to blame when I ordered what we wanted and they got it wrong. It wasn't busy. There were NO customers. So there is no reason all the orders should be wrong. I will never go back to this place. And I've had much better MExican food elsewhere. THis was my first experience here and I heard good reviews which is why I tried it. Never again. This is my absolute most favorite place for Mexican food. My husband and I have been eating here for 29 years and the flavor has not changed one bit, it's as good as ever. You can always count on consistency, something that is very hard to maintain throughout so many years. I love their friendliness and the cleanliness of the place. The owners are very down to earth and treat you like they're your long time friends. I highly recommend this place to any out of towners looking for great Mexican food! My favorite is the huevos rancheros, eggs with Lulu's special salsa on top with rice and beans. I eat it anytime of the day. Their al pastor street tacos are amazing as are the zopes. We have been coming here for years, and have lived in the gilbert/east valley area. They are family owned and have kept the same fresh madd ingrediants for years . thr fact that they are fsmily opperated and treat guests as their own family brings value and speaks silently about this families character and persona. The tortas are amazing , although they do not make tortas aogadas like authentuc guadalajara does, their tortas al pastor are amazing. Also the carnitas tacos are marinated in days and slow cooked to a perfect crisp for tacos. I highly highly recommened eating here for great ahthentic mexican food. read more

One of the biggest disservice's on Yelp is the silly mediocre score for Lulu's. Read through and you'll see it's entitled knuckleheads punishing a small business for things like not putting a fork in a to go order as the business tried to pivot to online delivery. Lulus CONTINUES to be INCREDIBLE. My go to's are the AZ Taco with beef, XXX with pork and the Guadalajara taco (And the machaca breakfast burrito). When friends are in town I make sure to set up a taco tour and Lulu's always, always stands out for quality. Yelp community come try the great food! Lulu's Tacos is hands-down one of the best spots in Gilbert! We've been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. The tamales are absolutely to die for, the kind of comfort food you crave again and again. The beans are so good you'll want to grab an extra order to take home for later. On top of the amazing food, the owners are some of the kindest people you'll ever meet. They're a true staple of the Gilbert community, and you can feel the love they put into every dish. Hello, my prospective of this little authentic Mexican restaurant is high. I believe the prices are not high and are not that low, now people say that the portions are small. What people dont realize is that on the front window it says GUADALAJARAN style. If anyone has every been there, Lulus Tacos "Tacos" are exactly like they are in mexico. I believe this is one of those restruants that u should try and not listen to people. The funny thing is that the tortillas are home made I have seen Lulu makin them before! We have gone to Lulu's twice now and have been happy with the food both times. I had the fajitas and shrimp tacos and they were very good.The folks working there were very nice and helpful. A touch on the pricier side but, like others have stated that the food was fresh. Ok. Pretty good food for sure. But they destroy you with add on charges. $3 for a dab of guacamole (I just bought 9 avocados at Sprouts for $3). 75 cents to use a credit card. Small serving of rice and beans if you pay for them on the side. My burrito with no rice, beans or sauce was $11.50. If youre okay with them over charging you, then come here. After reading a bunch of rave reviews my wife and I had to try this place. As it turned out the portions were small, overpriced and I didn't find the fish tacos to be very good. One of the coolest things about this place is that they make their own pink tortillas for their delicious tacos. It was a very tasty burrito, however, it was extremely greasy. I suspect the grease came from the fried fish and the two different sauces. It was dripping in grease with every bite. I couldn't finish it which was unfortunate because I love both fish and shrimp together. I'm happy to give them another try, but will skip the fried fish and multiple sauces next time.

They complied happily but advised me they weren't staying and making a brief stop which is never a problem. What happened next was not what I expected... The male gentleman asked me if I was hungry or even wanted a burrito. I replied with a "thank you, but I was okay." He had a warm smile and true consideration for me, which surprised me as this was the first time I've ever had interaction with Casa Reynoso. The male gentleman insisted politely and I could not refuse this offering as I was hungry and hadn't had breakfast that morning. The female who was with the male gentleman began to prepare me not one but TWO egg, chorizo, potato and cheese burritos with salsa!!! I was overwhelmed with emotion I could barely contain myself and thanked them both. And just as fast as they arrived they were gone. To Casa Reynoso, thank you for gifting me with great food, excellent service and an experience that went well above and beyond. For the one meal, with the small side of tots was approximately $21. That is pretty hefty for a fast casual restaurant. I may give them another try but will not order the same thing.
