Adorable little shop serving up scoops of edible cookie dough! Upon entry you're immediately drawn to the vibrant pastel like colors that definitely give the feel of a modern retro vibe. Make your way to the dough bar where they have a variety of about a dozen different cookie dough flavors to choose from, as well as freshly baked cookies and ice cream! Create your own sundae or cookie sandwich and make it fun with all the different toppings options. Oddly, I had a craving for cookie dough, so I opted for the small, which is 4 scoops of your choice. 2 choco chip, 1 brownie & 1 oatmeal choco chip is what I decided on. The choco chip and brownie were PERFECT! It really hit the spot and satisfied the craving I was looking for. The oatmeal to me was just okay and tasted overly sweet- I think I got a toothache! Service was great, the gal who took my order was very kind. I was the only one in, so must've been just a slow summer day. It was interesting to bring my leftover dough home to cook. I liked being able to cook it with the time and temperature they had listed in the lid. I just can't finish that much cookie dough. They have the typical flavors. Chocolate chip. I didn't think there were any that were super unique. The concept itself is unique and caters to the cookie dough eating crowd. While we liked to go for the unique concept my friend and I can't eat that much raw cookie dough surprisingly when we can eat a lot of baked cookies. The store is small and cutely decorated. I have been on such a cookie kick these days! Tried this place for the first time but honestly, I liked their chocolate chip cookies but am not a fan of the brownie cookies. The mini cookies are average size cookies, which was worth it and much better size, than their competitors mini size cookies. Try it out for yourself! read more

I love the town of Gilbert and this cute shop is one of many reasons why. I stepped inside and instantly felt like I was bestowed with magic and fun! From the decor to the menu items to the friendly, wonderful people who work here, this place is amazing! Plus, who doesn't love cookies and the dough it takes to make such yumminess?! There was a card creating area set up on this particular night and also a fun photo booth with props, plus 4-scoop delicacies for us to try. I got Cake Batter, Banana Cream, Cookies 'n Crème, & Peanut Butter Explosion. I also had sprinkles and caramel sauce out on it. Since I was saving room for dinner, I sampled a bite of each flavor & took the rest home to eat at a later date. Very delicious flavors& fun in a cup! For all my Yelpers who are centrally located, there is also a location in Phoenix as well as this one in Gilbert. Pro-tip: They have more than just cookie dough like made cookies and ice cream, and if you're not into eating a raw cookie dough, you can take it home to bake and eat as well! Highlights: I love the overall ambience, great decor and clean bright atmosphere. The concept is fun because there's options for everyone and I think the biggest highlight is how many fun flavors they have - like lemon cheesecake and even just plain dough. Low lights: I do think it's a little pricey to get four scoops for six dollars since the scoops aren't very big, but it is very dense and filling. To maximize on value I would recommend getting the seven or 10 scoops and sharing with others. read more

Scoopwell's is in Downtown Gilbert, next door to Rumble Boxing. It's light and airy inside. I had the 4 scoop, 2 scoops of ice cream and 2 scoops of dough. At first glance I thought the dough scoops were skimpy. But after eating it, realized how dense the dough balls are and it was more than enough. It is sooo good! Definitely will come back! read more

I came into scoopwells yesterday after getting dinner. It was my first time in, and my first time at a cookie dough type place! I'm glad they finally brought one to Gilbert because I love cookies/cookie dough. The space is super cute, and they have a lot of cookie dough flavors and ice cream flavors to choose from. I went with the small cup which comes with 4 scoops of dough. I got the cookies and cream, snickerdoodle, cookie butter, and gluten free chocolate chip. My favorite flavor was the cookies and cream! Great idea! You can't deter me from eating nearly the whole roll of toll house cookie dough. Finally we get the edible kind - dessert bar style! I tried a wide variety of cookie dough, personally the cookie butter was my favorite! We opted for 50/50's, which was half ice cream and half cookie dough. Birthday cake was a crowd pleaser in my group! I loved the decor and how clean this place was. I would recommend checking this place out for something different! I was so glad I found this place yesterday, when I had a late night sugar craving! If you're a cookie dough fan I'd recommend this place for sure! I ordered a 50/50 ice cream and cookie dough cup. I was very happy to see the cookie butter dough on the menu! And the taste was great, I'd definitely get that ever time I go. The ice cream on the other hand isn't the best, so if you're just coming for ice cream I'd suggest a different location, as the flavors weren't my favorite. But as an ice cream and cookie dough combo I'd recommend it. The price isn't too bad, but also a bit pricey for ice cream and I hoped that the scoops of ice cream were a bit bigger, for me at least.... This spot is absolutely adorable - they have a whimsical aesthetic. The service is fantastic - they explain all the options and were very patient. Adorable dessert place Downtown Gilbert. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. I was having difficulty deciding what ice cream to get with the cookie dough I chose for the 50/50 and appreciated the staff recommendation. (The pistachio cookie dough was GOOOOD!!). If you REALLY enjoy cookie dough, this is your jam! Arrived in the evening time and it was busy. The staff was great. They offer plenty of flavors for everyone's sweet tooth. My husband and I shared a 4 scoop bowl-banana cream, red velvet, cookies and cream, and macadamia. My favorite was red velvet. I wasn't a fan of the dough however I could see the kids and cookie dough lovers enjoying this place. read more

We are up in the area for a dance competition (my 10 year old. Would be beyond scary if it was me ). Have some spare time, so we looked up dessert places. Never have been to a dough bar, so we decided to give it a try! First, I was happy to see that they gave samples (small metal spoons that they reuse after sanitizing). This allowed me to try before getting. I ended up ordering the 50/50. You are able to get different flavors for each scoop. I ended up getting mint chip and cookies & cream). Both ice creams were delicious and tasted creamy and smooth. For the dough I got peanut butter explosion and chocolate chip. My only change would have been getting vanilla instead of mint chip. The mint chip was delicious, but I feel that the flavor detracted a bit from the cookie dough. My daughter got the 50/50 with two scoops of vanilla and two scoops of chocolate chip cookie dough. She really enjoyed both, but it was too much for her (taking one for the team I helped finish hers). Both my wife and my mother-in-law ordered the four scoops of dough. My wife had the chocolate chip cookie dough, white chocolate macadamia, cookie butter, and cookies and cream. My mother-in-law had brownie batter, key lime, oatmeal chip and snickerdoodle. Both said that next time they would get one to share, as it was cookie dough overload. My wife's comments: "I loved the variety. The cookie batter was exceptional. It was like eating cookie butter straight from the jar." My mother-in-law's comment: "A definite overdose, but delicious. My favorite was between the key lime and the oatmeal chip." read more

Sooooo glad this place caught my eye as my husband and I were strolling to dinner last night. We saw Scoopwell's and immediately made plans to grab dessert here after dinner! They had an array of different flavors displayed as well as seasonal flavors. You can get a cup of just cookie dough or ice cream as well. Love that you can customize your treat however your heart desires! I got a 4 scoop with 2 scoops chocolate chip cookie dough and 2 red velvet. Scoopwell's is so delicious! The ambiance is fun, bright, and it's just a very clean establishment. They have lots of dough and ice cream flavors. My husband and I both did the 50/50 option where you can have ice cream and dough together. I got vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough and then my husband got birthday cake dough paired with cookies and cream ice cream. Both were absolutely TASTY. The dough isn't too thick and the ice cream is nice and creamy I was a huge fan.. we also got a cookie on the way out and my husband swears it's even better than Crumbl. All in all, really great place and we will definitely be dropping by anytime we have the craving for dough! read more

If you want to eat a bunch of cookie dough in a safe way, this is the place to go! There are so many flavors of cookie dough to choose from, including gluten free flavors! You can also top your scoops off with candy and chocolate or caramel drizzle! I tried the gluten free white chocolate macadamia nut and gluten free chocolate chip and two scoops was perfect for me. If you order on DoorDash don't expect to get it quick and expect it to be sitting out for 15 mins. I legit was just watching the order sit there as I tried to get help and they ignored me. They don't have a good system for pick up/ DoorDash orders. If customers are in the store I guess they are priority and you will just be waiting for a melted ice cream and then blame the driver. It's this places fault! Respect all of your customers not just in store ones.... read more

Definitely was wanting ice cream. Many yummy flavors to choose from. They have several sugar cones & waffle cone sizes. Did a medium chocolate & peanut dipped waffle cone with Butter Pecan & Cookie Dough. Delicious, creamy, smooth & velvety. Lots of chunks of pecan & cookie dough throughout as well. Making fresh hand made ice cream daily! Tons of options from milk shakes, banana splits, sundaes, brownie sundaes, hurricanes, ice cream sandwiches, Handel pops, frozen dipped bananas to "of course" their ice cream! They rotate daily flavors to feature local favorites & seasonal specialties year round. The history & story of this business started back in 1945. Can just see Mrs. Handel's at her husband's gas station window selling her ice cream with fresh strawberries from her garden. Ohio born business that's expanded to over 175 locations in 20 states should say something about growth in churning & not changing the recipe of quality homemade goodness. Note-Handel's has a secret menu. Can vary by location, but if you google their website; check to see what specific off-menu items they are promoting! Offer Pint Perks & Deals plus sorbets & gluten free sorbets. *In response to the business owner: I stated varies by location & mentioned to google it (as you may want to as well). It does exist, so whether it's a new trend or its locations creating their own signature blends-it's definitely out there! Instagram features a few also..* Only downside: Nearly almost $20 for two medium waffle cones. Get that they stack it generously, but that's steep! Ice cream can melt quick, so get a lot of napkins & you gotta eat it fast. Not much seating outside and non indoors. Saw many LARGE active cockroaches on the concrete around ALL of the retail businesses. *In response to the business owner that went from 4 to 3 stars. We were having our ice cream on one of the very "few" outdoor business benches & clearly know what we saw/experienced while trying to enjoy our ice cream cones! Could be a possibility about the "creatures" you spoke of (that generally migrate around aquatic areas). However, they would have been mixed in with the crickets & yes many different sized cockroaches too! I do not appreciate the dismissive reply & with that- we will not be returning to this location.

Overall, Churn is a top notch ice cream parlour and a place I would probably frequent if I lived in Phoenix. I tried them for the first time during a Windsor/Churn Yelp Elite Event but have since visited Churn alone on my own afterward! I really liked the seasonal flavor milk and cookies because the chocolate chip cookie included in the ice cream is one of their cookies they serve separately anyway, so you know it's good. It had a sweet cream base. My sister and I shared a triple scoop for only $7 and satisfied the both of us. The interior is pretty small, but there's at least patio seating in the back and a bench out front. I'm excited to try other seasonal and permanent flavors in subsequent visits, but for now I love the milk and cookies too much to try anything else and would definitely return for just that!
