Bean and Cheese Burrito add Sour Cream

This burrito exceeded my expectations. There's something so comforting about a good bean and cheese burrito. I will definitely be back for more in the future.

I am not usually a bean-and-cheese burrito person... but Lulus has ruined me for life. Their version is pure comfort food magic--warm, cheesy, and so perfectly seasoned that I would happily write it into my will. The service? Always warm, always genuine, like the staff is secretly in competition to see who can make your day better. The place is spotless and inviting, with that "sit down and stay a while" vibe. Eating here feels like visiting your grandma--if your grandma happened to be a burrito wizard who made sure you were fed fed. And if she offered you the hot salsa, you wouldn't say no, because that stuff is liquid gold. Bottom line: come hungry, order the bean and cheese burrito (even if it's not usually your thing), and for the love of all things delicious--GET THE HOT SALSA. Just do it. Your future self will thank you.

I literally dream of Lulu's. I grew up in the Mesa/Gilbert area and have fond memories of frequenting this establishment. I've since moved out of state but every time I go home this is one of the first stops I make. On my recent trip I got to try (3 times in 2 weeks with no shame) the quesabirria and the corchata, and they were of course both phenomenal. I wish they would make t shirts again! I am a proud owner of a Lulu's t shirt from about 20 years ago that's I've passed to my son since it no longer fits me. I would love to be able to get a new one so I can rep this wonderful place where I currently live. Please never change. You guys are amazing, the food is amazing, everything is amazing.

I'd come back just for a bowl @ $17. 5. Hubs and I shared the wood fired pepperoni pizza. This may have been one of the worst pizzas I've had in recent years. Floppy, scant cheese and sauce. Shriveled basil and tiny pepperonis. Even worse, the bottom was black. Just awful. 1. Our waitress and other servers were all friendly. Nice vibe, clean and gender inclusive restrooms clean and tidy. We might come back for dinner one day and try other dishes. (I'd still get the soup). Super convenient given the Hale theater's close proximity. Well def come back for coffee and dessert! ~EG Eats

Everything was really good. The bruschetta boards are always fun because it's impossible to pick a favorite -- every one tastes better than the last. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors worked really well together, and the portions were great for sharing. The Caprese Panini was flavorful and paired perfectly with the chips. A bunch of us from my spin class decided to get together on a Sunday for brunch and here's what I munched: Grande Chicken TInga Nachos ($18 - Shredded chicken tinga, queso, roasted tomato salsa, black beans, pico de gallo, roasted jalapeño, cilantro lime crema): Okay, maybe I don't recommend the nachos. While topped with a good amount of cheese on top, once congealed, any chip on the bottom that you pull out is just going to be a naked chip. They do top these chips off with a generous amount of toppings. Brunch Burger ($19 - Angus beef patty, sunny side egg, avocado, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, sriracha aioli, hash brown patty, brioche bun, choice of fresh fruit or breakfast potatoes): I shared this burger and requested the kitchen to cut it for me which they did. Very thankful that they were okay with the request. The burger itself was decent. It was a little weird to eat as the tiny hash brown patty made the structural integrity funny but it's not a deal breaker. I will say that it needed more sauce or something. The burger was dry after a few bites. I also had my lunch with the most savory and spicy Bloody Mary. It was amazing and probably one of my favorite Bloody Marys in a long while. You're in DT Gilbert where the energy is going to be fun. You really can't go wrong having bunch here.

We came in with our family and three kids and sat on the patio since we were a larger group. After eating, our kids were sitting in chairs near our table, chatting and moving around a bit. They weren't being loud or disruptive, but a nearby a couple clearly seemed upset. The woman was shaking her head and saying to the waitress "this isn't okay to be doing while people are eating", pointing toward our kids. Once I realized this, I immediately called my kids back over and had them sit with us, and I even let her know that if something was bothering her, she could've told us and I would have addressed it right away. The couple chose to ignore us and left shortly after. The manager then came out and reassured us that Lucky Lou's is a family-friendly restaurant and that our kids were absolutely fine. That meant a lot to us and really showed how supportive and understanding the staff is. I also hope one day that couple realizes how hard it is to keep a 4-, 6-, and 8-year-old sitting at a table for more than 30 minutes without shoving an iPad in front of them. On top of that, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and I honestly had the best burger and tater tots of my life. We'll definitely be back--thank you for creating such a kid-friendly and enjoyable place for families!

Be sure to stick around inside to get your coffee. They only bring your order to you if it's a pastry (at least that's what it seemed). It was pretty busy inside when my friend and I went, so we chose some chairs outside. They gave her a number for her pastry and brought it out, but we had to go up to the counter to find our drinks after waiting several minutes and wondering. That all would have been great info to know when ordering initially. Definitely will be returning!
