We need a place for dinner in Charbonneau, especially since traffic on I5 gets so hectic and they are open until 8 pm.

No option to leave a message to have them call you back either. Kind of dissappointing as Salem late night options are pretty slim...I think tonight was the last night that I'm going to try to contact these people. I'm not sure if they're even still in business.? **update** I got a call back from the number listed and I asked to order food- the guy says 'no, not tonight' and basically hung up on me- funny, your listed hours say you're open 24/7. Abrupt and rude. Lost a good potential customer....3stars because I hadn't had any interaction with this place, now it's one star for terrible customer service....

A Cubano traditionally is pork loin cooked into submission, ham Swiss cheese mustard and pickle grilled on a plancha. I dont do pickles so I ordered mine without. What i got was a grilled cheese with pulled pork bacon and smothered in pickles and onions. This was not even close to a Cubano and should not have been billed as one! I would also like to point out that those were pickled cucumber slices not actual pickles. Since I was at a function and the line for the food truck was exceptionally long. I just brought the sandwich home. I will also say the Mac and cheese was not terrible although I would rethink the pasta that is being used. It was large a overcooked. So with all that said there was some good flavor. The wait was too long for a bad sandwich made wrong. I would not purposely look for this truck .

While the foie gras didn't quite land for me (likely a reflection of my unsophisticated palate more than the dish itself) it was still an experience I'm glad I had. If one feedback, I had way less sauce on my lamb than my dinner partner and it was really yummy sauce. The service was exceptional. The staff were expert conversationalists who struck the perfect balance of knowledge and warmth and enthusiasm... making it feel completely okay to be excited, curious and new to this kind of dining. The blackberry mousse with ice cream. Crying with joy! It was so extraordinary it sparked conversation among neighboring tables. Every detail felt intentional, even the cutlery. It was exciting and really cool and humbling, all at once. I arrived feeling a little out of my depth and left completely enchanted. For what it's worth, 10 outta10 recommend.

We genuinely enjoy discovering new culinary destinations, from thoughtfully curated interiors and elevated ambiance to the creativity and execution behind each menu. Above all, however, the food is what leaves a lasting impression. Given the experience and investment, we fully expected to leave feeling satisfied. Unfortunately, despite an evening that included a bottle of wine, cocktails, and over $400 tab for two, we both walked away feeling surprisingly underwhelmed and still somewhat hungry. The most memorable part was the dessert. We understand and appreciate the concept of a seasonal tasting menu, but we were under the impression that the progression of courses would ultimately feel more complete. Interestingly, your neighboring restaurant embraces a similar dining philosophy, yet we consistently leave feeling both delighted and fully satisfied. While there were certainly aspects of the experience we enjoyed, the overall meal simply didn't deliver the sense of fulfillment we had anticipated. The service was nothing to brag about.

We are glad it was the Newbergundian Bistro. We had to start with a Croissant. It was very flavorful, but it was bit soft, not the perfect crunch that we love. The fresh squeezed grapefruit juice made an excellent greyhound. The Bistro had my favorite...Escargot as a special. WOW. So good. We then shared the Potato Croquettes. The accompanying fondue was so good to dip the Croquettes into. We finished with a Ham and Brie Sandwich that was excellent, accompanied by crisp and hot french fries. My wife had the Grilled Five Cheese Sandwich with Mixed Greens. She loved it. Traci was terrific and helped us throughout the meal.

We started at the bar, which was not comfortable for my mom but eventually we were able to sit on the patio which was great. Potato croquet appetizer - yummy. The cheese, pickle, mustard and croquettes go together as one perfect bite. I got the open face Ruben. It was delicious. I tried the grilled cheese which my sister got too - yummy, but there's a sticky cheese on there that I didn't love. Greens that came with all items were weird. Didn't eat them - don't know what they were.

I avoid brunch on the weekends because it's just too busy and chaotic but weekdays are pretty nice. It's good, but not waiting for half hour good. My mother and I were having a lovely Sunday afternoon today and wanted to enjoy a nice lunch this…read morelocation. However, enjoy was the last thing i would call our experience today. Mainly due to one INCREDIBLY rude employee, who i am going to assume is the manager, or something close, considering she was the only one in plain clothes, and not in a uniform or server outfit. This woman was an absolute walking nightmare. First off, we came in around 1pm. Mind you, this location closes at 3pm. So immediately, after we walked in, we stood there for a good minute or so before one of the FIVE employees, including nightmare manager lady, who were standing on, in or around the front counter ask "table for two?".. as the manager slowly grabbed our menus to hand to the server, i immediately noticed she had an attitude. Almost like she was annoyed we were coming to eat.. I shook it off, we sat down. We had our small dog in a stroller, so we had asked to eat outside. The outside area was busy. It is a sunny 70+ degree day so we asked for as much shade as we could get. The server pointed us towards a table with one half completely in the sun. We pointed to the 3-4 tables behind us that were in full shade. The server said they just closed that section. Umm ok, but, not the severs fault that the available tables were in the sun.. so, ok, no problem. We sat down. It took our server a while to get to us, but she was hustling and doing very her best. When she got to us she was gracious and very friendly. She was also very accommodating when we ask for our meal to be split to share. I wish i had gotten her name because she was the only nice part of our experience today and she was a lovely young lady. So, as we waited for our food, my mother was getting uncomfortable in the direct sun. I offered to switch seats, but she just tried to move her chair more to the side, towards the inner isle. Nightmare manager whips out of the door and VERY rudely, and loudly, barks at my 74yr old mother "mam, that's just not going to work! It's too narrow in here!" Everyone looked at us as she yelled this at my mother. At this point, most of the tables outside were emptying. So i said "could we maybe switch tables? She's just very uncomfortable in the sun." this nightmare of a human throws her hand up at us, like IN OUR FACES, and in a very annoyed voice says "you gotta give me a minute " and darts past us. We were floored. My mom and I look at each other like "huh?!?" There is now very few people left in the entire restaurant, inside or out. So it was pretty clear it was less about being busy and more that she was simply in "i want to close up and go home" mode. But hey, food service can be stressful, i get that. What i don't get is yelling at customers like they're your five year old. At this point the servers are wiping down the tables and stacking chairs. Mind you, it's only been roughly 20 min. So it's about 1:30pm.. again, they close at 3pm. But they were all clearly in shut down mode.. So when nightmare manager lady doesn't come back, we asked another server if we could move. She looks around at the empty tables, that are now 100% in the shade, and is like "ummmmmmmm, sure?" I said "great!" Got up and move to the shadiest table. Then nightmare manager whips outside again, and, as we are picking up our our silverware and water cups, this woman shoves next to my mom, who fumbling with her water glass, purse and silverware, and begins wiping the table down before we even retrieved our things. She says nothing to us. Her body language was aggressive and she was obviously very annoyed. Annnnnd that's when I called it. We hadn't even received our food. We got up and left, while I chipped "you can tell them to just throw our food away. You've been incredibly rude and we're done" and we left. This woman ruined a lovely Sunday afternoon i was spending with my mother. She was annoyed and rude the second we interacted with her. She may be stressed out, but to treat customers with such obvious distain, is unacceptable. This woman clearly can't handle the pressure.. so i HIGHLY recommend they get her out of the kitchen, LITERALLY! To this nightmare woman, i am so sorry we annoyed you with our business today. Don't worry, we will not be back..
