Had lunch here for the first time today. Food was amazing. I would recommend their milkshakes, they have a whole variety of different flavors you can mix together. What really made this experience stand out to me was the excellent customer service. More specifically from our server Rachel. She did an excellent job making us feel welcomed and heard. I decided to head over to Lumpy's today for brunch and am so glad I did. I actually stopped coming here a few years ago because the line was always so long. Today I waited for only a few minutes and sat at the counter. First of all, the servers here have got to be the friendliest servers in Brentwood! I love all the exposed ink too. They're really cool and very welcoming. I ordered the corn beef hash and it was delicious. The hash browns were cooked PERFECTLY. Another cool thing was that there was a cop sitting right next to me. How often do you see that? Any place that welcomes uniformed cops has my business for life! And obviously the place must be awesome if he's comfortable enough to sit and do some work there. From the reviews, it looks like Lumpy's a little hit or miss spot. We had a pretty good time here, no complaints. Lumpy's has a home town feel to it, I could hear there's a lot of regulars around when they are called by first name basis. The walls of the restaurant is decorated with funny signs, drawings/murals, pictures of staff/family/customers. We got to sit down after a quick 25min wait and the drinks came by relatively quick. Prices were fair/good. The sandwiches were pretty cheap, but don't come with any sides. So if you like a side of fries, it pretty much adds up to the same prices at any other restaurants. Food was good, your regular hard to mess up diner choices. My wife had the kitchen-sink benedict, which was eggs benedict, but instead of just Canadian bacon, it had diced ham, sausage, bacon, onions, peppers and mushrooms. A giant side of hashbrown comes along with it. I stole a bunch of her meal, it was good. Kid had the kids mac and cheese with fries. Looks like Krafts mac&cheese that comes in a box. She was happy, so I guess we are good. Other child had the ham scramble, which they charged extra for cheese. And when they asked him about toast, he told them French, which he meant sourdough, but they made him a side of French toast. My mistake for not catching it I guess. Wish they would have asked about it, but whatever. I had the Reuben sandwich, very good, but needs a little more meat, perhaps just another slice would make the perfect sandwich. A little bit nicer than I expected for a diner. They are willing to modify any part of their menu to fit your particular taste, which is great. Also, having 2 non-red meat, meat, options was refreshing. Had a mimosa which contained a jar filled with champagne w/ a frozen watermelon popsicle. So good. My husband and I came for here a few days ago after passing by for the last 2 years and so glad that we did. It's cute, the servers are friendly and pleasant and the food is yummers. I have been to this location a few times and honestly I don't see anything special about the restaurant or food. Inside is like a 50s style dinner, with 4 flat screen TVs surrounding a cool disco ball, there metal signs and the walls are painted with nice scenery. The food however is nothing special, it doesn't have any personality, it doesn't seem made from scratch it seems like everything is purchased already prepared, like the home fries, the flavorless sausage is horrible, the sourdough bread taste i had was not the best, we asked for jam and the server brought out what they had and that was grape and strawberry in those little plastic pre filled containers. For being a independently owned restaurant, not a franchise as far as I know, I just don't see or taste the love in the food. This place was packed and is obviously a local favorite. When we were there they were helping to support a charity for kids. The food was very good and way better than the normal breakfast place. We ordered the vegetarian omelet, the Denver omelet, cofee, and a cinimon roll. The service was very good. It's a busy place but worth the wait. read more

This place was great. Stopped by in a Monday mid-morning picked a table. Offered a beverage quick upon taking a seat. Loved how all the servers would ask if I needed anything not just the server taking my order. Ordered the chorizo scramble and it was so good!! Went on a lunch date with my husband here. It was hard to choose everything sounded so good. My husband decided on The cure and I did a cup of chili and some fries (this craving won). My husband after eating half his food decided to add my chili to his dish and he said it made it so much better. We couldn't, can't believe how this place ranks. In our opinion what we experienced ranks at the bottom of the barrel. We will never recommend or revisit this place. The sign in front says best breakfasts in town when in fact, the opposite is true, It could easily be ranked one of the worst breakfast spots in town. Update-my husband and I came here on a whim after not visiting for quite some time and we were very happy! We were seated quickly, and brought drinks quickly. The menus have been updated which was nice to see. I got the mini breakfast, a good choice for someone with a smaller appetite, or watching their diet (jalapeño bacon is awesome!) My husband got the enchilada omelette with chicken which was delicious. Our server was very attentive and had a great attitude, put me in a good mood for the day. After our last visit I didn't want to come back but Lumpy's has redeemed itself, and will again be one of our favorite places to dine! read more

Great place to take the family! The food was absolutely delicious! My daughter had the Mickey pancakes. I had the veggie egg white omelette. The bowl of chili is probably my favorite. My son had the Raptor Benedict and ate everything on his plate! Hubby got Lumpy's omelette. The portions are big! Our server is amazing! The staff are so kind!
