Well, where do I start? I ordered online to pick up a 9:30 in the morning. A regular breakfast with a side of bacon and orange juice. When I got there I picked up my order that I paid $23 for they only had an order of bacon in the bag so I turned around, went back in. Waited another 25 minutes to get my rest of my order. And then when I left got in the car, they didn't have my toast fork or napkin in the bag. At this point I am not going back in again, only had an hour lunch. It's very poor and slow service. First time trying Lumpys. We had a little wait but the waitresses were super nice and friendly. The menu is your diner food with breakfast, burgers, appetizers, hotdogs, salads and salads. Specialties are in red. We started with the totchos which had the beer cheese. I ordered the grilled cheese with added bacon and a side salad. He had the biscuits and gravy and chili cheese fries. Everything was fried, super rich, and so fattening but exactly what was needed for the morning. They also do mimosas, tomato beers, but I didn't want to start that early. Stopped by for breakfast with family while visiting in town. The place was busy, but with room still available. The flow of people finishing and people showing up were almost equal in their timing, so there was always a couple tables available - but only. The service was friendly and the drinks & food came out reasonably quick. My breakfast desires are pretty basic and simple, so I was happy with my order and ate it all up. The interior looks like a guys garage with a lot of license plates and automotive signs with that throwback feeling all over the walls. I've seen this before in other non-destination towns. In the end, everything was all good and when I return for another visit with family, I have no problem coming back for breakfast! The place is only open for breakfast and lunch. read more

Visited location after work for some comfort food and invited my son. I've eaten here before and have enjoyed all the food I've had by it was my sons first time. Today, I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with delicious crunchy fries served in a dinners basket. Their ranch dressing is nice and thick and went great with the crunchy fries. The chicken was cooked well and had good flavor combined with the crisp lettuce and tomatoes. The food was delicious with my coke zero. My son ordered the Legend burger with a pink lemonade. He described his burger as "This is what the BIG MAC wishes it tasted like." Gina, who took care of us, was amazing and super friendly. Lumpy's Diner is a cool little spot for breakfast/lunch that has friendly vibes and a down home feeling. The staff is friendly and the menu offers a variety of breakfast and lunch items. I had the Lumpy 's Full Breakfast with chicken breasts. It's a simple yet filling breakfast plate that has the usual suspects in coming with three eggs, choice of potatoes or hash browns (I had the hash browns) two good sized chicken breasts and choice of toast (I chose wheat). I also had a regular coffee. I requested the eggs to be over medium, the browns crispy and I wasn't disappointed. The entire breakfast was satisfying and the plate came as requested. What I also like about Lumpy's is their coffee mugs. They are extra large mugs and what great about this is that it requires less refills. Me being a self proclaimed coffee aficionado, it was helpful not having to ask for refills. But every time my coffee was half gone, our server promptly filled the mug up without having to ask. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking a good breakfast and a good experience out dining. A Brentwood staple, Lumpy's Diner has always served solid food especially their breakfast. We have been here multiple times, and on my most recent visit I had their Country Fried Streak and insisted on crunchy hash. Boy did they deliver; potato hash was very crispy and the fried steak was moist and tender. It has been quite a while, but I do remember that their burger offerings was delicious as well. With the current SIP my mom and I weren't sure if we'd find somewhere we could dine-in at. So I checked Yelp and it looked like Lumpy's was offering dine-in. Call and confirmed they are. YaY!! I ordered the the eggs benedict, a side of corned beef hash (brisket) and a side of biscuits and gravy. My mom order the mushroom, swiss burger with a side of curly fries and was very happy with her food. Everything I ordered was fresh and good, albeit a little bland. Portions were generous. FYI: They offer two kinds of corned beef - canned and brisket. I really enjoyed the brisket!! Service was fast, very friendly and attentive. Staff wore masks and followed COVID protocols. We walked in and we were greeted by Zeke who is AWESOME! Young and super friendly. He said his parents ate there often so he grew up eating at Lumpy's and it was great for him to now be working there. Super pleasant host! I unfortunately do not know the name of the friendly, slim, red head woman whose hair is ALWAYS flawless but she's been there for a while and is amazing. She took our order and checked in on us regularly. We were fortunate enough to meet/chat and be greatly entertained by Digger himself. He was absolutely GREAT! Such a warm, welcoming and humorous spirit. You can literally see the Joy in his face! I've been here several times but this was Mom's first time and she can't wait to come back. She said, I hate it's so far, I would love to come back! She truly enjoyed her omelette, she forget to ask for her eggs to be made soft but that's exactly how they came and the first bite of her crispy hash browns got a ummmmm. Can I say this is my most favorite place to eat when in Antioch. This nostalgic restaurant serves breakfast and lunch on a whole new level. Their servings are huge and delicious, and they have their own specialties that will blow your mind. I went here this morning with my family of 6 and we were seated pretty quickly. Weekends are always busy, but they are fast. The staff was super friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself is clean and has cushiony captain seats as waiting chairs. We got our orders in pretty quick and the food came out just as fast. For all the food we ordered I didn't think they would be so fast, but they were! Here is what was on the menu: Piggly wiggly: 1/3 lb burger topped with tangy bbq sauce, pulled pork, onion strings, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato - one of their specialty burgers that rock. I don't think I have tasted a burger just like this with their special bbq sauce. Super delish! Cali fries: French fries topped with frech cheese, pulled pork, and fresh bacon pieces - we got this as a side also, don't get me wrong, this could be a whole meal if needed, that's how big it was. My daughter wanted to pair it with her burger. There is only 1 place comparable to these fries, and it is in Los Angeles. It is a must try!!! Soooo yum! Caramel pecan waffles: Our signature‍ fresh made, golden crisp waffle topped with plenty of caramel, pecans and whipped cream served with maple syrup - this entree, is literally three mini waffles topped with all that goodness. We had it as a side and man it was perfect! The cure: Hashbrowns with a biscuit, choice of meat, eggs, cheddar cheese and gravy - my brother had this without a biscuit and had chicken fried steak for his meat. Delicious in every way, and a sure "CURE" for a hangover. Digger Dave's Special: Three scrambled eggs mixed with crisp bacon, onion, mushrooms and melted cheddar cheese, served with hashbrowns and toast - my sister had this and the omelet was full to the brim. Jaxx 's mini breakfast: For the lighter appetite... one egg, any style, served with hashbrowns and one slice of toast - this was still a good size and cooked exactly the way you want it Lumpy full breakfast: Three eggs, any style, served with hashbrowns and toast and your choice of meat: my dad had this and chose italian sausage for his meat. The perfect simple meal for a 72 year old man is what what he said! Corned beef hash breakfast: Three eggs cooked any style, served with our delicious corned beef hash, crisp hashbrowns and toast - ok this was mine. They have two kinds of corned beef, the real shredded kind and the canned kind. I chose the canned kind because that is what I grew up with. Regardless, it was awesome. Crispy on the outside, nice and soft in the inside, the hashbrowns, same way. It is really hard to find a place that makes my two favorite and cooke them to perfection. Overall, I would definitely come back and recommend this to everyone. Also there are many more choices than just burgers and breakfast items. Found a great family owned place for breakfast. Great portions, (most times cannot finish) Prices are good, food is always cooked just right. The service is excellent! Only suggestion, they should have someone or maybe take turns to walk around and fill coffee cups for the customers.
