    Lumpy's Pancake Breakfast

We're looking for a Diner near our house on Oakley and came across Lumpy's Diner on Yelp. It's just a short drive from our house and very convenient It's what I expected from a Diner and they serve good breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. They have several variety of food on their menu. The place is neat and I like the ambiance of the place. The diner has several framed pictures posted all over its walls and reflects a nice comfortable atmosphere while dining. For breakfast, I ordered the Pancake BREAKFAST which has two buttermilk fluffy pancakes served with one egg, any style, and your choice of bacon, sausage, ham, hot link, or linguica. Service was excellent and quick. The food was also delicious. The pancake was fluffy and generous in size. I enjoyed our breakfast and was glad to check in on Yelp

This is our go to spot for breakfast. My girls and I love the service and atmosphere. We go so much the owner asks about whoever isn't with us that day. They serve a solid breakfast and we have no complaints. If you go on the weekends be prepared to wait a little bit.

I love coming here. Everyone always is friendly and attentive. The ambience is chill, fast paced, and very bright, they have a lot of windows . The food is always a 10 out of 10, on point & tasty!!! Our server was amazing so friendly & attentive. If you're in the area, you'll have to try this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Decent brunch spot in the area. Quick service and friendly staff. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich with chicken fried steak and I ordered the Kitchen Sink Burrito. That was pretty good and our waitress recommended for the wrap to be grilled which I enjoyed. We also ordered the churro waffle and that was ok. Overall, good service and decent food.

An old school place with a great vibe. There is usually a wait but it's also usually worth it! The food came out super fast and was hot! The wait staff does a great job keeping up with a packed house. The cooks are very consistent. The menu offers a lot of variety. Prices are good and portions are too! Will definitely be back

Update 3/2/25 Another visit to Lumpy's for our Hawaiian breakfast fix of Loco Moco. Again, an excellent breakfast choice. The hamburger patty is NOT over cooked and dry, but really tender and tasty. The spam fried rice is the perfect foundation for Lumpy's iteration of Hawaiian Loco Moco. The green onion palm tree is really cool and cute representation of an "island" of delicious food! A rating of 5/5! Loco Moco is not on Lumpy's main menu. It's only prepared on selected days. You can call to see what days Lumpy's will put their loco moco on their menu. You can try other selections on their menu which are great too. Give Lumpy's a visit. You'll be satisfied and content!

Can I bring my dog inside the restaurant while friends and I dine( lap dog)?

I am not sure. I don't remember ever seeing dogs in there, but it gets pretty packed in there. So I don't know if I'd even bring my dog in there.

    When did outdoor dining disappear?

The morning atmosphere has that classic neighborhood warmth to it--no rush, no fuss--just comfort food done the way it's meant to be. From the moment we sat down, everything felt familiar in the best way, like our past and present got to meet right at the breakfast table. Our food was just... exactly right. The flavors were satisfying and full, the portions were the kind that make you feel taken care of, and the whole meal tasted like it was made with care instead of shortcuts. It's the type of breakfast that doesn't try too hard, but still delivers. Even after all this time away, **it was still excellent**, which is honestly the biggest compliment I can give. What made the visit extra special was the nostalgia. We weren't just eating breakfast--we were remembering why we loved coming here in the first place. It brought back that feeling of earlier mornings, earlier routines, and time spent together without even realizing how much we'd missed it. Coming back after so long made the experience feel bigger than a meal. **Bottom line:** If you're looking for a breakfast spot that's reliably delicious and also has that comforting, "we've been here before" feeling, **Sylvia's in Antioch** is absolutely worth a return visit--even if it's been years like it was for us.

What we got was delicious food, piping hot coffee, and two absolute gems: Becky and Tammy. Let's start with Becky. She kept the coffee flowing and somehow made every refill feel like a visit from a friend. She is genuinely one of the sweetest people you'll meet, and we loved chatting with her throughout our breakfast. Now Tammy... this woman is a rock star. She went out of her way to tell us about the specials, checked on us often, and made sure we were happy with everything. You can tell she truly cares about her customers and takes pride in making everyone's experience a great one. And the food? So good! The O'Brien potatoes deserve their own fan club. Crispy, flavorful, and downright addictive. We cleaned our plates and seriously considered ordering more potatoes just because. It's places like this that keep people coming back. Not just for the food, but for the feeling. Great coffee, delicious breakfast, and staff who treat you like they've known you forever. Needless to say, we'll be back. The bar room was offered and based on our experience of a live band or good music we chose of our area. Unfortunately, the service ( if there was any) was non existent . We sat there for more than 10 minutes. No one asked us a question. Came to check on us or anything. They watched us. Do you have a food return to the dining room with menus and hand and no one attempted to see what was going on There were only two other couples sitting in the room. It was almost empty. We wound up moving back to the dining area because we plan to have tea and coffee. Once we or seated in the main dining area, the service was stellar. They checked on its regularly. We got water immediately. They took our order within 3 to 5 minutes that continue to check on us throughout the meal refilled our beverages. It is regularly crowded there the beautiful world that room is covered by direct sunlight from the windows that show you the waterfront there's plenty of seating, the music is loud enough to enjoy but low enough to have conversation and enjoy your meal simply perfect I got my favorite the crab sand, which is at market price and delicious. My husband had a jumbo shrimp scrambled that comes with bacon and avocado, and it was delicious. I adore this restaurant and I really enjoy the fact that they've started covering the outdoor patio area so you don't have direct Son. It's a perfect place to enjoy a good Saturday or Sunday brunch with friends and family. It's always have fun. How am full of live with people enjoying their meal Except to spam $50-$75 a person depending on what you choose to eat from the menu and what type of beverage you have and that only includes one beverage Your average brunch scramble or omelette runs about 30 bucks. Anything seafood will be 40 bucks plus coffee and $3.75 and refillable which I love and I can't really show you the cost of a cocktail. It's been a minute.

The flavor and taste of the rub was light on my cut, but I still enjoyed my prime rib. Rib eye - 4/5 A decent 10 oz cut of rib eye steak, seasoned with just salt and pepper. It was cooked to perfection. Very tasty and tender. Fresh Salmon (Cajun style) - 5/5 I was surprised with this selection on how generous the salmon fillet was. The Cajun spice was not spicy hot, which I prefer. The salmon was flaky and tender. Not hard and dry. I am so sad that Mac's Old House will be closing 6/22/25. Many people and families will be sad.
