Hey, I already reviewed these guys but I wanted to update because things have kind of changed for me. I have radically changed my diet, and have lost a great deal of weight. Through it all, I went to Lumpy's and asked for all kinds of food modifications. Can I have my eggs cooked with no oil? Can I substitute fruit for hash browns? Can I have my toast dry? Consistently, the staff at Lumpy's has worked with me, made changes for me, remade things that weren't right, and even celebrated my success with me. If there's something on the menu I cant eat, they were right there with suggestions. And the really cool thing? They REMEMBER my weird little quirks, and they offer them to me when I forget. Talk about moral support! When you forget you want your toast dry, and the wait staff remembers? Where else does this happen? Throughout my weight loss (70 lbs now!), the staff at Lumpy's has been in my corner, helping me succeed. They even have the approval of my nutrition coach! Couldn't ask for a nicer group of people. After we got our food the waitress ended her shift. Apparently no one covered for her because we sat for 15mins and finially started flagging people down for water, boxed and a damn check. I waited and had to go up and pay because apparently the waitresses cant shut up enough to help the 3 tables that were there. The table behind us were WAITING AND WAITING. EMAILED THE OWNER TO LET THEM KNOW, NOTHING BACK. U dont care about your customers so i could care less about giving u business. The time before that i went with my sister. Just not really impressed. Was always a Digger's faithful, so instead of going to Concord, thought we would try Lumpy's right here in town. Started out visiting once a month for a while, however just feel it is just an average burger. Yeah some of the burgers are better than others, but the basis, the burger is just average. And beginning to believe maybe even cooked frozen. The burger always seems to be dry & overlooked, a bit heavy on the dressing, which soaks into the bun & makes it sloppy. Digger's shakes are 10x better. Oh, went out to Lumpy's in Antioch once. I recently moved to Pittsburg CA so I looked up Breakfast spots on Yelp and came across Lumpy's Diner so me and my family decided to try it out we came at around 9am the day after Christmas 12/26/16 and we got seated right away. Our waitress was on point she came right away and asked if we wanted drinks and she came back right away with out Waters and coffee. Then afterwards she came back right away and took our order which was awesome when I go out to eat I usually don't ask for the waitress name unless they're horrible or excellent and our waitress was beyond excellent so I had to ask her name and her name is Bianca. If you ever come to this restaurant I hope you get her as your waitress because she was kind to everyone. The food was great I ordered the veggie scramble and added chicken Apple sausage which was awesome. The crab eggs Benny were ok and we also ordered the churro waffle and it was really sweet a little too much for me. Overall the service and the food was GREAT and I will definitely return read more

Just left the Pittsburg lumpys. Never going there again, would say never eating there again but that would mean I actually ate. I ordered the FNK burger modified with Jack cheese add bacon and ball park fries, my fries were regular fries with the garlic and parsley just thrown into the box not even attempting to get my fries coated at all. My burger to go was just a sloppy mess, instead of putting the beef broth on the side they poured it on the bun which never would have made it home, went back in told them that the burger would not travel that way and asked if they could do the broth on the side like they do at the antioch location, well that got some rude reaction out of the waitresses. They then remade my burger with out the modifications I paid for, no bacon and american instead of jack cheese, then no horseradish mayo and only one small slice of burnt balltip. I got a refund for my burgers, my fries are sitting cold and uneaten, and my ladies balltip French dip was dry bland meat and stale hoagie, her curly fries were the only edible item in the order. Never going to this place again, ever, still hungry and now annoyed. They said that they weren't antioch, which is obvious, because the place was empty, the staff was horrible at there jobs, and the food tasted and looked like it was from Denny's. Absolutely the worst waitress/cashier ever!! Service deplorable. I went there to get a breakfast sandwich to-go, came back a few minutes later and the girl at the cash register told me she didn't know where my sandwich is. She said someone must of walked out with it. When I asked her how this could happen she became extremely arrogant & darn right rude. She said it's not her problem and thought it was funny. I asked to see the manager and her response was "I have worked here 3 years" what that meant I have no idea, I asked her again and she basically ignored me. If she worked for me I would have fired her on the spot. If fair customer service is something you feel important my advise is to stay away from this place, at least when the red head 3 year veteran is working. I'm in town on business and the reviews looked promising as I'm a stickler for friendly service. Walking in alone, I could tell that I was the only non-local, non-regular in the place. By the end of my meal, the staff made me feel like they had known me for ages. I had the ball-tip sandwich which was really good. Be sure to add their beans. So I decided to give lumpys a try today for brunch with my princess. I was disappointed they were not serving pancakes or mickey mouse pancakes at the time we came in which was 1.21 p.m. but was serving french toast. Anyways I ordered country patatoes with over medium eggs and my daughter ordered french toast from the kids meal. My potatoes were burned thank goodness for Tabasco sauce and my Lil one received her french toast with a huge clump of butter that tasted stayled. The service was great the girls were friendly but I don't know about the cooks!! I feel that we came in late to enjoy a wonderful breakfast but recieved scraps! read more

This place is open for breakfast and lunch and on some days dinner. I have only been there for breakfast but each time the service is prompt and friendly and the food is good. I would skip the cinnamon roll tho and head down the street for some sweets. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend it for anyone looking for a good breakfast or burger joint. read more

Ate there this week with my bf, had the Ruben which was good but would have benefited from more corned beef to balance the quantity of sauerkraut. Bf had a club sandwich - always good. Just ate at Lumpy's for the 8th time and it was just as good as the first. I got a good ole fashion cheeseburger and it was better then most I've had. My GF had the Sourdough chicken sandwich and it was incredible. I tried a bite and will definitely be ordering one for myself on the next visit. I work as a route driver for Alhambra Water and have two days in Pittsburg. I frequent this establishment on two of those days. This place is comfort food by definition. I have had both breakfast and lunch here and really, there are no bad choices. Great "bang for buck" place as far as reasonable prices and food portion. The staff is always friendly as well. The only downside is if I eat too much you could throw me into the Pittsburg Marina and I'd sink to the bottom. This place will continue to get my business. read more

Lumped diner in Old Town is a pretty dope place to get breakfast. The inside is a blast from the past and the waitresses are friendly and inviting. I usually get breakfast food to go. My go 2s are B-fast burrito, Denver omelette, and chicken fried steak omelette. I would put a rating on the food but sad to say it varies. I feel they have different cooks all the time. The food is either on point 9-10/10. Other times it's lacking flavor so I would give it 6/10. I don't understand this. 1/2 times they will mess up my order. Prob the cooks as the person in the phone repeats the order correct before getting off. How do you forget gravy on the chicken fried steak omelette? Anyways there prices you find online are not accurate. Average breakfast meal is $10. Overall I go to this place cause it's very close to my house ad hopes that when I do it will be the 9-10/10 experience. That or being hungover lol. read more

Awful ! Ordered a breakfast burrito to go from here 2 times and both were terrible. 2nd time I was giving them one more chance, but again it was gross. Potatoes in burrito were all dark brown and too crispy and they added a hunk of egg and jus some cheese ??? WTH- no salsa either like I had asked for.
