Pittsburger - available only on Fridays!
    Susana I.

I've been here multiple times but this review is specifically only for the infamous Pittsburger, iykyk, only available on Fridays, with limited quantities. Every time I visit home I try to stop by Lumpy's to get this bad boy but they're always sold out. So this time around I came prepared. On Friday morning I called right when they opened at 7:00 AM to place a pre-order for 3 Pittsburgers ($25.17). The woman I spoke to on the phone said they're made around 9:45 AM, so I came back around 9:30 to pick them up. They were piping hot when I got them but unfortunately we ate them about 2 hours later because we brought them to an Alcatraz tour. These seem different from the ones I had when I went to PHS. They're definitely bigger and don't remember them being so dense (then again I haven't had one in ages). It's basically a Sloppy Joe with ground beef, a lot of ketchup, onions, cheese, and bread. Very simple ingredients but a ton of nostalgia. Anyone who went to PHS would say they adored the Pittsburger, so if you're feeling nostalgic on a Friday morning, definitely order one.

Great service, extremely fast turnaround, and great taste with filling portions. I used to come here when I was in town and never rated it so I'm glad I stopped in for breakfast with pops. I also like the Pittsburg community decor with the Pitt Helmet and Pirate collage

I loved the variety of the menu. The coffee was delicious and plentiful. Once we ordered the food came out quickly and it was hot and tasty. They even had blackberry jelly for the toast. Many places don't have it. It wasn't very crowded and we weren't rushed. I'm looking forward to going back here again

Mini-Breakfast - there was 2 sausages but I got excited and ate one before I remembered to take a pic! sorry!

Food: 1002/10 Ambiance: 1002/10 Service: Always Wonderful we haven't been to Lumpys in awhile and the daughter and I stayed in late for a Saturday. So we decided to order delivery brekkie from Lumpy's! I ordered the mini-breakfast platter bc I can't eat all that much for breakfast. and boy, I was not disappointed! Eggs were super fluffie-scrambled, Turkey Sausage was cooked perfect, and the Hash Browns.... it was so perfectly cooked and crunchy to a point I was getting glassy eyed! I got sourdough toast as well! Buttered top notch! Glad Natalie and her team are doing even more amazing! even ordering delivery the breakfast was wonderful!

downtown pittsburg has amazing spots, and lumpy's diner was no exemption to the awesome restaurants located here. once you come in, you are politely told to take a seat anywhere, indoor and outdoor. your waiter helps you out and provides menus for you eggs Benedict was today's brunch, with country potatoes. eggs Benedict were superb, with poached eggs cooked well, and potatoes seasoned. ambiance was smooth at first, but as noon hit, it got busy with lots of customers indoors (a plus for me) shoutout to the staff of hard working women, and them representing this establishment with hard work and extremely nice customer service

This is the chicken and waffle meal. Soggy waffle and chicken tenders... I was not expecting tenders... The waffle texture was chewy and it had a sour taste. This was not worth $16 bucks.

This is a 5 dollar "whole order" of fries. I've seen more fries at the bottom of my mcdonald's bag after finishing a meal. Pretty dissapointing considering the burger itself isn't cheap plus you have to pay up an extra 5 dollars for what's supposed to be enough fries for two people- but those aren't even enough fries for an ant to snack on. Can't say a burger and fry combo here is worth the 15-17 dollars.

The space is thoughtfully designed--open, comfortable, and visually appealing, with a unique wall-style menu and a well-executed bar setup. I appreciate the creativity in the menu, especially the blended lattes, which are not commonly found in specialty coffee. That said, the drinks themselves have been inconsistent. At times, the balance between espresso and milk is off, and sweetness levels can feel a bit overwhelming. Service has been mixed but at time defensive and in some cases while not intentionally unfriendly, interactions can feel somewhat unwelcoming, and there have been moments where a more engaging, knowledgeable approach would have made a difference. How do you not know the oz of you cups? I really wanted this to become my regular spot given the convenience and potential, but the overall experience hasn't quite matched expectations. With some refinement in both service and drink consistency, this place could truly stand out. Salted maple latte would hit but it was was too sweet and over all i could tell the shot was underextracted. Yet still gave 30 percent tip because grace is given even when we dont deserve it but this review i hope is considered. Hoping these things will shift that I could come back.

The bar room was offered and based on our experience of a live band or good music we chose of our area. Unfortunately, the service ( if there was any) was non existent . We sat there for more than 10 minutes. No one asked us a question. Came to check on us or anything. They watched us. Do you have a food return to the dining room with menus and hand and no one attempted to see what was going on There were only two other couples sitting in the room. It was almost empty. We wound up moving back to the dining area because we plan to have tea and coffee. Once we or seated in the main dining area, the service was stellar. They checked on its regularly. We got water immediately. They took our order within 3 to 5 minutes that continue to check on us throughout the meal refilled our beverages. It is regularly crowded there the beautiful world that room is covered by direct sunlight from the windows that show you the waterfront there's plenty of seating, the music is loud enough to enjoy but low enough to have conversation and enjoy your meal simply perfect I got my favorite the crab sand, which is at market price and delicious. My husband had a jumbo shrimp scrambled that comes with bacon and avocado, and it was delicious. I adore this restaurant and I really enjoy the fact that they've started covering the outdoor patio area so you don't have direct Son. It's a perfect place to enjoy a good Saturday or Sunday brunch with friends and family. It's always have fun. How am full of live with people enjoying their meal Except to spam $50-$75 a person depending on what you choose to eat from the menu and what type of beverage you have and that only includes one beverage Your average brunch scramble or omelette runs about 30 bucks. Anything seafood will be 40 bucks plus coffee and $3.75 and refillable which I love and I can't really show you the cost of a cocktail. It's been a minute.

Attention to detail seems to be lacking, especially with to-go orders, so be sure to check your bag before you leave. My French toast breakfast was missing the French toast, and they also forgot most of the condiments. To make matters worse, no one answers the phone, making it impossible to get the issue resolved. In this economy, when you spend more than $200 on breakfast for your family, you expect better service, better food quality, and an order that's complete. Unfortunately, this experience did not match the quality I expected.
