This place called our name because of the name "Luna". It's such a cute hook, with lots of vegetation outside. It's kind of behind a restaurant which I believe both are connected with sharing the garden in the back. Loved the inside decor as well. I like how they had a section of Cayucos' favorites, which I ordered one from this section, honey cinnamon oat latte iced. It was yummy! My partner ordered a hot mocha and he said it was a good mocha. They serve food too. I'm glad small towns have some good local coffee! It's always the best.

This was the coziest and most quaint coffee bar with AMAZING coffee. My hubs found it - in all truth - because he needed the RR and had to buy something in order to use it. I'm glad this was the case. He got me a honey latte (?) that went well with a treat from a place around the corner. It was the perfect capstone for what was a hearty lunch earlier, that day. The coffee house - which I believe is also a restaurant- is housed in a beautiful English (?) garden nook. The location is surrounded by lush gardens and colorful foliage and is the perfect place to enjoy coffee, tea, and more!! This is a keeper!!

Before I give Luna Coffee Bar its well deserved 5 star review... I want to help guide you in the right direction on why this should be your ONLY STOP for coffee, pastries, and/or a quick breakfast while visiting Cayucos. I have personally never done this before on Yelp, but I feel that this next part NEEDS to be done. Fact: Yelp is all about highlighting businesses that deserve recognition when recognition is due. Yelp is equilaterally about giving you the ability to share your experience even if that experience is not so pleasant in hopes to not damage that businesses reputation, but by giving them the opportunity to correct and/or improve from the valuable feedback that is shared about that said business. Basically, I had a not so pleasant experience at a coffee shop down the street from Luna coffee Bar (at the Honey Girl Cafe).... See my review for the full details. After leaving Honey Girl Cafe an honest review in hopes of giving them some well deserved feedback/criticism, I received a condescending remark from their business owner which showed me not only their lack of class, but it also proved to me that their customer service is truly non-existent and not of any concern. Why share this with you?? Because word of mouth is very powerful... Whether positive or negative, it can either make or break a small business and I would much rather you support an establishment that values their customers, treats their clientele with respect and and has staff whom genuinely smiles as you enter their place of business and greet you as you walk through their doors. Well at Luna Coffee Bar, I guarantee you will have this positive experience that you may or may not get from that "other place". --------------------- On that note, let's wash our hands of that bad experience and celebrate Luna Coffee Bar on their exceptional service and high quality of food. It was a beautiful Sunday morning in late November and coffee was in order to start our day off right. And as it was morning time, you know we needed a delicious breakfast to prepare us for our long road trip back home. Alongside our coffee, we went with an Açaí bowl for my wife, a naked avocado scramble for me, and an avocado toast for our daughters to share. Food is ordered at the counter and will be brought out to your table when ready. Luna Coffee Bar has a few seats out front and a whole hidden oasis in the back with plenty of seating to choose from in the "garden dining room". Food was tasty, healthy and just what we needed before hitting the road. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and I think you will agree if you when you come here too. Thank You Luna Coffee Bar for setting the bar high. Hoping 2025 and beyond brings you much success for your little coffee shop.

Cute little hidden cafe. Got a strawberry match along with a lavender matcha once you're on the main street, you need to go in the plaza, which is located next to a beautiful garden. Such a cute little café service is great super fast and friendly.

We were visiting our grandparents and needed (better) coffee during our first morning. I think I had walked through the garden at Luna before but had never tried the coffee. We went on a Sunday morning around 9am so weren't too surprised that there was a line but I will say the small shop felt a tad crowded. I wish there was a second door to exit to alleviate some of the congestion. Aside from that, the interior is very cute and the coffee was incredible--I got an iced cinnamon latte and I could have one everyday! I would definitely go back and will the next time I'm in town :)

Food was great, very tasty. We had the blta and jefe breakfast burrito. The back was big and roomy. The flies were a little annoying but that's a problem everywhere in slo county. Was a little slow to bring out food, but that's ok since it was so delicious!

I have a tradition of going to local coffee shops and getting caramel lattes so I have tried MANY. This shop is one of my top 5 overall coffee shops in California! Highly recommend! It's cute and people there are friendly!

A short vacation to beautiful Cayucos led me to this coffee bar. I fell in love with the place from the first visit and decided to go there every day during our vacation. The Everything Morning bagel was delicious, please try it! We loved the coffee of course. Service was great and the outdoor garden seating has a magical atmosphere to it. The worker that took our order was very nice and informative. We ordered the Matcha Latte & Strawberry Matcha and it wasn't our favorite. They were both lacking sweetener, not sure if it comes unsweetened. The strawberry matcha didn't taste like strawberry and was more of a hibiscus flavor. While walking in downtown Cayucos don't miss this coffee shop. You have to go down a little corridor to find this hidden gem, but it is worth the search mission. The garden area has seating with amazing flowers or you can enjoy your beverage inside. They have water as well. The girls made awesome drinks for all of us and my adult kids have some pretty specific orders. There is ample pastries to choose from and WiFi. If you are interested in a nice spot to chill out and enjoy all the beverage and pastry, look for the little hole in the wall!

Looking for coffee whilst strolling down Main Street, I saw the chalkboard sign pointing to Luna Coffee Bar through a small path behind a restaurant in a garden setting. I loved the giant graphic poster to the left explaining the different coffees such as lattes, espresso, americano, etc.. I wish I had taken a picture. Also, their WiFi information is adorable as you can see. I purchased your standard iced mocha which was perfect. They had a selection of baked goods that looked a cut above average. I chose a fresh raspberry and light custard pastry that was so delicious. I would definitely go back. Although there was a small wait, my server was very sweet and attentive.

Absolutely delicious & filling & healthy "avocado toast paired well with delicious Cayucas Chai (same as a chai tea lattte but with coconut extract added. Cutest little garden seating, perfect nice breeze & elegant decor. Perfect 1 hour stop while getting dog groomed at "Unleashed"-the bear pet-grooming around; I still laugh as my second time dropping off my pug there & to think he's getting all-organic bathing & oatmeal blueberry facial. Great visit to Cayucas! read more

Though this coffee shop is cute, plan to wait a minimum of 15 minutes for your coffee (just plain coffee). There are no gluten free options and that was also disappointing. There were 3 employees and not a large number of patrons, so I'm not sure what the issue is. read more

I really liked this little place down an alley behind Lunarda Cafe. The patios are so cute and unpretentious. We shared a huge cup of regular coffee and a blueberry cheese croissant. We weren't even hungry but the procurement manager for the household couldn't resist the croissant. It was delicious! The coffee could have been stronger but the vibe was exceptional. read more

I was looking for a place to get a coffee in Cayucos in the early morning and i stumbled upon Luna Coffee Bar. It has friendly service and good coffee. There is a nice outdoor sitting area with a beautiful hidden garden feel to it. The flowers have started to bloom and make the garden a peaceful place to enjoy your morning coffee and scone(I got the Blueberry one). read more

We got two stellar breakfast burritos with yummy salsa and a regular latte and a matcha latte with oat milk - everything was delicious. The burritos are a good size and stuffed with goodness and neither of us could finish ours in one go. Staff was masked and friendly. We ordered to-go and the food took a bit of time - maybe 20 minutes? - but the outdoor garden is sweet and a lovely place to wait if you aren't in a rush. read more

This is the loveliest spot. It's tucked away so you almost don't know it's there but once you meander back, you find yourself in a wonderful garden patio. There's lots of seating outside as well as a good amount inside. I think the ambience is my favorite part about Luna. So relaxed. Then you add great food & coffee & you've got yourself a little bit of paradise! Their almond milk chai is on the spicier side, which I appreciate. I've also had their BLTA which exceeded my expectations!! I've heard their breakfast burritos are a hit as well. Definitely worth stopping by when you're exploring Cayucos. read more

THIS COFFEE SHOP IS THE BEST IN CAYUCOS!!!! I've tried several of their drinks but my go to is iced Vanilla latte with soy milk. Their pastries are killer too, nice and moist and taste fresh every morning. I also enjoy their breakfast burrito before I leave town every time because it's so delicious and the perfect on the go meal. The coffee bar itself is tucked behind the Lunada restaurant so it's easy to miss but they have a beautiful garden area where you can sit and enjoy your drink and food. If you are in town, do yourself a favor and stop here. read more

Not sure what was worse, the service or the coffee. Came here based on all the great reviews, and my family and I love to support small businesses. This is definitely another over-hyped coffee shop. Wouldn't recommend or return. Ordered 3 lavender lattes and an almond latte, they messed up on a couple of them, the attitudes of the workers were so unpleasant we just kept them. read more

Cappuccino was more like latte with enourmous amount of milk foam on the top, not microfoam at all. Coffee itself didn't taste bad but I barely got to it through all that foam. I just don't think you should open a place and name it coffee bar if you don't know how to make proper coffee drinks as it's confusing for coffee lovers like me and my boyfriend are. Plus I'm European so I'm kinda sensitive about coffee as I'm familiar with the good stuff. read more

The girl with the blonde/ brown hair at the cash register seem like she hates her job and get very annoyed when customers that have never been to the Luna coffee bar, ask her any questions. I was very disappointed with the service. Didn't even want to go up and ask if I could have something else made because she seemed too annoyed with all the questions. It was a mistake coming here thinking I would get proper service. Very very disappointing. read more

Amazing coffee shop! I had the special, a vegan caramel coconut latte, and paired it with a strawberry muffin. Perfect combination! Coffee is completely worth it! I work in Cayucos right across the street from Luna Coffee and I frequent this place 5 days a week. My favorite place to get coffee they use locally roasted award winning coffee beans. I like my coffee strong in flavor and that is exactly what you get. All pastries are made in house, they also have a variety of cakes, flan, chocoflan.... look it up it's an amazing mix of moist chocolate cake and creamy flan. They also have a small breakfast selection and lunch sandwiches. read more

This place is super super cute and great location! Cayucos needs a good coffee shop like this! The coffee is good and good is delicious, with a beautiful outdoor seating. Me and my friend have been here a handful of times and every time the service is the only disappointing aspect of it. The baristas did not welcome in any customer or give any friendly gestures. To be quite honest, it seems as though they do not want any business with their body language and comments to us. Hoping it gets better in the future because we love the coffee! read more

DO NOT EAT HERE!.. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DEGRADING!...... If I could do 0 stars I would. The girls at this place are so beyond Rude! And treat people like crap. We have been eating at this place for the past 4 days for breakfast because it's convenient and we get the food to go and you would think as returning customers they would be nicer to us but everyday got worse. The girl in the front I think her name is Megan (she is the ring leader of the mean girls) I was in line and she didn't even acknowledge me and acknowledged the people behind me where I had to ask her to help me first since I had been there way before them. She obviously knew them she was the nicest I've ever seen her to anyone unless it was because they were white. Which I hate to say this because I don't like it when people use race as an excuse but I've been how she treated us and other customers dark skinned in past few days and how she treated an Indian family that was in this morning and she had proven my thought. I would suggest the owners set up cameras to see how these girls are. Also the food takes a while to get out. (We also heard the girls talking crap about us because they called out our order "which we then went up and grabbed" and another girl came up and started asking "did they seriously just grab it without being called out" - right in-front of us where we could hear them giving us dirty looks. (Who does this?!.) We are also here in cayucos every other month and started eating at this place since slippers shut down and all the other times they were rude and held off on my review until now. DO NOT EAT HERE! Eat at cass house or sea shanty or go to Morro bay. read more

This time, I ordered a half pound of sliced tri-tip and requested it rare, along with a half rack of baby back ribs. Unfortunately, the tri-tip was not rare when I got it, and it was sliced thinner than I expected. The flavor also wasn't nearly as good as I remembered from previous visits. At about $12 for half a pound, I was disappointed by the quality. I also ordered a half rack of baby back ribs for around $16. While they were okay initially, they didn't seem as flavorful or tender as the ribs I had enjoyed here before. The leftovers I reheated the next day were particularly disappointing and not very enjoyable. In the past the ribs were great reheated. I may have caught them on an off day, but this visit was a noticeable step down from my previous experiences. Given the prices and the excellent food I've had here in the past, I left feeling disappointed and hoping this was just an isolated experience.

Unfortunately, their sandwiches are about the same - at least the one I try. I ordered a turkey on a roll with lettuce, cheese, and mayo. The bread was still SO DRY that I couldn't like the sandwich at all. I did order a small pizza and a hotdog. These are new to the menu since I was there last. After waiting an incredibly long amount of time to get my order, I was at least happy with the pizza and hot dog. Glad to have a hot dog option next to the theatre so I can sneak one in!! I ordered extra cheese on the pizza but I didn't need to. I am happy to upgrade my star rating to 3-stars for those two new items. I am picky about the bread for my sandwiches and honestly the only one I liked was when you had the sliced wheat bread option available one day as a fluke. I will go to Mr. Pickles for my sandwiches from now on, but I might stop in for a pizza or a dog.

This place is 100% the spot to go for breakfast/brunch if you're a tourist in the area. You wait in line to order, then get a number and find a seat. I came around 9:10AM on a Saturday and waited in line for ~25mins. You definitely need to come early, because the line only got longer after I left around 10:30AM. Their specialty is the blue corn waffle/tortilla. I recommend ordering one of each just to try every menu offering. The wait after ordering was about 15min. The waffles came out perfect, and the color and presentation made them perfect additions to your foodie photo album. The tacos were solid, but the blue corn tortilla flavor was a lot less noticeable. I would still recommend ordering at least 1 taco just to try it out. For a part of 2, 1 waffle and 2 tacos or 2 different waffles are more than enough to satisfy your breakfast/lunch stomach. Water is self serve, and service is super friendly. The weather was super nice when I went, but make sure you grab a spot in the shade or you will start sweating! I would also recommend bringing a hat or sunglasses since some seats are positions in that the morning/lunch sun shines directly in your eyes.

The Bloody Marys were okay, but definitely not the best I've had. The highlight of this place is the atmosphere. It's filled with lush greenery and beautiful flowers, creating a relaxing and inviting setting. Unfortunately, the food and drinks didn't quite live up to the ambiance.

The hamburger with cheese was juicy, with fresh lettuce, onion, tomato, and a spear of pickle on the side for you to decide what you wanted in your burger. My son said it was delicious. The manhattan bread bowl....hearty and thick, however way too salty for my taste. That would be a pass for me next time. Overall, it's right next to the pier, lots of seating, with a variety of food options for the family.

I was very excited to hear about yet another coffee house in Cayucos more choices YEA! well not so much, it was a disappointment, they don't even roast there own coffee , my drip coffee was maybe a bit better than folgers. However not much. Didn't try any pastry not much of a choice. read more
