The Stand is actually one of my favorite local LA chains for casual dining. This time I abstained from my absolute favorites which are the brisket, steak, burgers, chimichurri etc.. because I knew I'd be having a chaotic eating week, so played it healthy with the chicken club. Although I did spoil myself with the fries (but not the fancy ones I would've preferred) Fortunately, the Sandy was full of flavor even though it's basic, and I was completely satisfied with it. I only wish there was a special fry sauce - I used ranch which was great but I prefer a fry specific sauce or for the fries to be very uniquely seasoned or made. They were good but nothing that was mind blowing. There's still plenty of great food options all of which will hit the spot and you can 100% rely on if you want to get something quick and casual without breaking the bank but also unique that isn't something you'll find anywhere else in the country. Service here was prompt and friendly as well. Hit the spot after arriving at the hotel across the street after my flight. read more

The miso salmon bowl is delicious. You can choose rice, chopped romaine or kale (I went for rice-kale combo). The salmon was cooked well and was flavorful. The crispy onions on top added some textural balance. There was plenty of sauce and they put an extra in my bag just in case. It was a good sized bowl and filled me up. I'd definitely have it again though I'm also intrigued by the miso salmon sandwich. I really like the Stand for its great and diverse selection, which includes vegetarian and pescatarian selections. read more

There something nice when you know that's there's something right at your door step whenever you need a snack or a meal. It's like my go to for a quick snack of fries or a cold beer. The sweet chili sauce is perfect added to whatever you're having. A burger, fries, tots and I've even added it to my Cobb salad. The service is always great and everyone is so friendly. I ordered the French onion soup burger and by recommendation of the order taker, a cookie butter crunch shake. I ordered the burger medium, but it felt a little closer to medium well. It had good flavor but definitely messy. I'm sure that is the intention and part of the fun of serving with an au jous. The shake was great. Very happy with the recommendation. With the cost of parking, even validated, was this lunch worth $30? It's debatable. I probably won't be back but I'm glad to have enjoyed the afternoon. read more

Love the food, but customer service is horrible and the pickup system needs help. This is the second time my 'ready time' kept getting pushed back over and over. At that point, it feels like the order isn't even started until much later. Ordering ahead should save time, not add more waiting. Please fix the timing--it's misleading and frustrating. read more

So have been looking forward to trying this for awhile now, today was the day, here goes. Staff friendly and helpful, they were out of 3 of the I believe 5 or 6 choices of beers , ok so big deal. Ordered the " stand burger " medium and most of the Pattie was just past raw ( actually cold in the middle). The pickle chips were tough and I ended up taking them off‍. The food was delivered on time and prepped nicely. I catered lunch for about 20 people and they LOVED it. This is what I ordered: 2 Sandwich/Wrap Platters - 10 sandwiches each - Tuna Salad Sandwich - Vegan Falafel Wrap - Chicken Club Sandwich - Classic Turkey Sandwich - Chimichurri Steak Wrap - Grand Stand Turkey Wrap The Cobb Chop Salad Stand Slaw Stand Chips 2 Mini Cookie & Brownie Platter There was more than enough food for everyone and they raved about everything. We decided to grab a quick bite before heading to the movies on a rainy night, thinking it would be a simple and easy stop. The place was nearly empty, yet we ended up waiting 20 minutes for our food. To make matters worse, we noticed people who ordered after us getting their meals first. After debating whether to say something, we finally asked about our order. Five minutes later, the food arrived--but it was clear something was off. My burger was soggy, as if it had been sitting there for a while, and the fries were just as disappointing--soft and lifeless instead of crisp and hot. On top of that, my burger wasn't even made the way I ordered it. At that point, we didn't want to make a fuss since we were on our way to the theater, but it was obvious the server had simply forgotten about us. I absolutely love the Chinese chicken salad from here. It's easily two meals for me and very reasonably priced. I've gotten multiple of my coworkers hooked on it too since I rave about it. The staff is always very pleasant and quick with orders. I usually order through the app but if you order there, the wait time isn't bad (specially compared to the other restaurants nearby). I love burger places that make it easy to create just the combination you want, and the Strand offers every conceivable option. My favorite is a beef patty on a brioche bun with American cheese, bacon, sliced onion and tomato, mustard, mayo, ketchup, and pickle relish. Perfect! Onion rings were nice and lightly battered with a crisp crust. Eat these first as they have a short shelf life. Hot fries were the only miss. They're just fries made soggy by being drenched in hot sauce. Better to dip. There's a spacious outside dining area overlooking the lawn. read more

The sandwiches here are top notch! Got the southwest chicken and it was moist, juicy, and delicious all the way through. On a sunny afternoon, sitting outside in the shade cannot be beat. The fire fries were too saucy for me but the kick it comes with is great. I prefer my fries crispy but the flavor was spot on. The slaw was a bit dry for me but it was a nice balance with the fries. Staff here are phenomenal. They bring the food out to you and after you eat, the staff take care of the trash and wipe the tables down almost immediately. So happy we found this place, and thank you to all those Yelpers that reviewed before us. This place is tucked away in the Avenue of Stars complex. It's garage parking, and although The Stand validates, I guess we stayed long enough to still owe $4 on exit. Hint: From the parking garage you will go up several escalators until you reach the main lobby of the first building. You exit the building into the courtyard and walk to The Stand entrance. On to the food ... The short rib grilled cheese is freaking out of this world! Seriously, I could not recommend this enough. I am not necessarily a bbq fan, but the sauce was not too overpowering, and combined with the grilled cheese flavor was delicious. I think what makes this grilled cheese so good, is not only was there cheese in the middle, there was also cheese on the outside of the bread. Crispy grilled cheese! I mean come on. Hubby had the a Breaky sandwich, not only did it look great, but he said it was delicious. Great blend of flavors, all put together very well. Just to try them out, we ordered the chicken bites. Don't get them. They were very nondescript, nothing special about them at all. There's lots of other things on the menu to try. However, if you have kids with you, they'll probably love them Last part of the review is the cookie and cream shake. Absolutely delicious. Lots of flavor but blended enough that drinking it through the straw was no problem. And I cannot leave a review of this place without mentioning the location. I've been coming to this location of The Stand for a few months now and I'm finally leaving a review... this place is my go-to spot for my lunch break. The falafel wrap is amazing, especially the tahini sauce on the side. This place was pretty good! Not convenient for me by any means, I was determined to take some time out of the day to get here, and finally that came a few weeks ago. Arriving right around noon, there was no line when I placed my order, but as I waited, this place filled up rather quickly. For my first visit, I went with the kids meal (burger/fries with ketchup/mustard/pickles/Stand sauce on the side) and this was nicely priced under $7. Decent portion, and I liked it enough where I'll be confident ordering from the 'adult' menu on a later visit. Actually, that was the other week but I was here early enough for breakfast. I went with their potatoes and a side of bacon, ordered extra crispy. Place was dead during this time, as everyone was probably already at work. Received the food about 5 minutes later and was on my way. This was just okay; the potatoes had some cheese sprinkled onto them which I didn't mind, but didn't expect since it wasn't mentioned on the menu. The bacon, however was a disappointment. Although I requested it to be crispy, this was not prepared that way. I still ate through some of this, and would consider getting their bacon again as long as it was done well. Overall, The Stand is pretty cool. Although it is quite a walk, at least you know you're bound to get something good for the effort made getting there. Can't wait to try their blueberry lemonade they currently have. Know that the hours here may be shorter than other locations; for they are located within a corporate business park, so 8a-4p makes sense in this area. Really terrible experience today. Placed a pick up order at 1:30. Scheduled for 2:15 pickup. I arrived at 2:30 and there was no order. Staff member seemed indifferent and said we will get it ready for you. There was no one actually preparing orders, all ~5 staff members in the kitchen were busy with prep work, labeling sauce containers and such. There was no acknowledgment, no apology and no sense of urgency. I explained I was going to be late returning to work with zero empathy. The gentleman who was assisting me just kept saying they're working on it. Since my order was seemingly lost, it should have been prioritized but other orders came up before mine. I left 2:45. Been coming here for years but won't be back. Common courtesy would have gone a long way, the staff needs to be trained in basic customer service. read more

I enjoyed my Ahi Tuna Salad - it was not worth driving out of the way for, but it is an EXCELLENT choice if you are in the area. A generous serving of spring mix topped with slices of rare Ahi and avocado as well as cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions and crispy onions with a mildly spicy Thai dressing. I was staying at the Intercontinental hotel and walked over when I found this on yelp. It was hard to find the food court. I ended up in the underground parking and a valet guy showed me where to go. You can only reach it from the other sides so you have to go around and not get lost like me. I ordered the ahi tuna market bowl. It presents beautifully and is decent size. However I wish I knew this was so spicy. I don't like spicy at all and this whole thing made my mouth on fire. It should be in the info this market bowl is very spicy. Butter salt and spicy are for me mostly covers for flavor. I don't think that's the case here however it would have been so much better without it being so spicy. The location is great, facility is very neat and modern. It's kept clean well by the staff. It's perfect for fast lunch as the service is incredibly fast! Within minutes I ordered and received the order. It is noisy inside, but peaceful and quiet outside. Outside has lots of tables with heaters which are convenient now it's only 50 degrees (12 Celsius). I'd come back but I'd inform myself better when ordering. The staff is super friendly and very helpful, they always make sure you get your order right and ask if anything is needed. Been going here for the past couple of weeks with coworkers and food is good. However, I would go here at my lunch break (before 12pm) but they would take too long to bring my food out and would only leave me little bit of time to eat. So I figured, okay let me order online. Loved the convenience of ordering online and picking up and seemed perfect. Except when I went to pick up my food I had to wait 30 minutes after my pick up time to receive a burger and fries. No one apologized for the wait or nothing. I don't know why time management is a problem here but I'm not going to be able to waste my lunch break time here anymore. read more

The quality customer service has spanned to all employees in an amazing way. However, I'm not so sure if the burger chef is happy. The burgers are cooked precisely at the temperature you request it (e.g. medium, well) but there's so much debris of oil, burned specs from previously cooked meats. It's probably asking a lot but it but it would be nice if the burgers could be patted with a cloth or napkin before adding it to the bun or lettuce wrap. All-in-all it's still tasty but working adults are becoming more sensitive to what's going in our guts. Thanks! read more

Catering mainly to all of the office buildings in Century City, The Stand isn't open for dinner or on the weekends. There is a patio area as well as an indoor seating area but most people seem to place their orders to-go and head back to their respective offices. The menu is pretty extensive with a bunch of different combinations of burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs and even salads. What's lacking though is the fact that there isn't a combo option. You have to order everything a-la-carte and it can add up especially when prices are already jacked up! I got an order of the short rib grilled cheese and I'm a big fan! It's not the healthiest option since it's pretty greasy but I don't think you're coming here for a healthy meal although you do have that option. I love how crunchy the bread is and it helps that crispy onion rings are placed inside. The meat packed a ton of flavor and the cheese was properly melted. I also got a side of fries but I was pretty disappointed in them. They were soggy and soft. Next time, I'll just stick to a burger/sandwich. The Stand is conveniently located at the bottom of the Century Park Towers and you can even call in your order ahead of time. The menu is kind of pricey but that's expected in business-centric Century City. read more
