I've been to Panini Kabob Grill plenty of times at other locations, so I knew it would be a solid post race meal. They seated me really quickly, which I appreciated so much because I was in no shape to be standing around. Huge thank you to the staff for refilling my water so many times. That honestly felt incredible after the marathon. I ordered the hummus, falafel, chicken shish kabob, and koobideh shish kabob, and everything really hit the spot. It was so fresh and filling. The restaurant is very bright and lively. The service at this location is especially wonderful as well. Everyone was kind and attentive, and you can tell the staff works well together. I came to Panini during my lunch break and attempted to place a takeout order. When I approached the counter and explained that I wanted to order food to go, the employee immediately discouraged me by saying, "Oh man, we are very busy and it will take over 30 minutes. It's up to you if you want to wait." Really? If takeout orders are going to take over 30 minutes, are the customers dining inside also waiting that long for their food? The response honestly didn't make much sense and left me with the impression that my business was not wanted. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but there are better ways to communicate that with customers. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning to Panini. I also work in a nearby office and regularly have opportunities to order food for meetings and coworkers. Came here with some family and were treated like VIPs. Floro-pictured was the CSA, (CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL STAR). His style is calm, cool, collective and perhaps the best C of them all, consistent. I went ahead and ordered my tried and true chicken kabob, no rice, double strawberry date salad (without the dates! Lol) and a small chicken soup. My guest pretty much ordered the same, with the exception of the basmati rice and she actually wanted the dates with her serving of the strawberry date salad. We ate at Panini Kabob Gill last night and really did not have a great experience. We frequently eat at the Marina del Rey location and food and service are usually very good. We sat outside as we had our dog with us. Our server dod not approach our table for at least 15 minutes after we were seated. When she did, she clearly had an attitude toward our very well-behaved dog. We ordered drinks and water which took another 20 minutes to reach our table. For dinner we had the Chicken Alfredo Pasta, The Koobideh and Chicken Kabob, and the Chicken Caesar Wrap. The food took another 20 minutes to come out. Food was very mediocre and service was sorely lacking. We will not be back to visit this location agaoin. read more

But salmon was juicy with a scent of lemon and every piece of salmon was delicious with right amount of seasoning. Salmon scampi was my favorite dish from here. Pasta was cooked perfectly. I ordered catering for my son's first birthday and made it very clear the food needed to arrive before 1:00 PM. I even called twice (the day before and morning of) because of the LA Marathon, and both times I was assured it would not be an issue. My guests showed up--no food. After multiple calls and no answers, I was forced to order from another restaurant in the middle of the party. The food finally arrived 2 hours late. The driver said it wasn't ready, while the restaurant gave a completely different story. I ordered directly through them, so the failure is entirely on their end. Also worth noting: none of my other vendors were late. Corporate's response? A $150 gift card. Completely unacceptable after ruining a first birthday and forcing me to pay for food twice. Panini century city: this was a to go order. So no rating on atmosphere. We got a family style lamb and chicken for 4. Unfortunately my wife didn't check the food during pickup. When we opened it half of the lamb was pretty much charcoal. It was so burnt! The meat itself was so tough that it was inedible. A raw brisket would have been softer. We grab our food, head to the park, and enjoy an outdoor picnic with the best taste in town. We don't dine in often -- it's a bit tricky with our 3-year-old -- but every time we order, the food hits the spot.
