I'm going to preface this by saying that I am not the biggest fan of Tender Greens. I've been to different locations and I feel the food is a bit bland and overpriced for what you get. With that said, I received incredible service from Anai tonight. Surprisingly this location managed to run out of ketchup, which I don't even know how that's possible. But Anai to the rescue. She brought me two other sauces as an alternative for my fries, without any hesitation. When she came by to check on me, she asked me which are the sauces. I preferred and I told her the one that she liked was the better option. She displayed exemplary customer service and went the extra mile to not leave me or my fries hanging without any condiments. I hadn't been interested in trying Tender Greens before, as I was skeptical of a fast-casual, "healthy" kind of restaurant chain. But I was pleasantly surprised when my partner got me TG for dinner: The chicken katsu bowl was quite tasty, with crispy, tender strips of fried chicken and a delicious creamy sauce that had a surprising kick! My partner's falafel plate was decent, although the falafels were a tad on the dry side; my partner had requested tzatziki on the side, but did not receive it. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT eat anything from this Tender Greens! We had a delivery this weekend and the Mediterranean salad contained a large piece of sharp green plastic (pics attached). It lodged into the top of my girlfriend's mouth, super F'n sketchy! Not sure what would have happened if it was consumed as it was large. Things to note: The response from the manager and eventual "hospitality" team was awful...3 days after the incident was reported. Our effort to prevent anyone else from eating the same plastics was not taken seriously. NONE of their packaging or utensils contains this material, so it was foreign and obviously part of the food prep and supply chain. read more

Really delicious and healthy foods. We got Baked Falafel (sea salt and herb oil) with 2 sides (got Seasonal Vegetables and Baby Greens). Portion was pretty big. The falafel was so delicious. It was soft and creamy and flavorful. The vegetables were very clean and also delicious. Roasted Tomatoes Cup is very delicious! The tomato soup was not acidic. Very nice with croutons. The soup has fresh tomato puree. Parking: we had to pay for park at the parking garage. I don't know if there are any street parking that's free cuz we didn't look. Great service and fresh food. The roasted veggies were overly salty but other than that, everything else is usually 10/10. I used to always order the steak plate w mash and Caesar. My friend always gets the salt and pepper chicken plate w roasted potatoes and seasonal veggies bc it's the lowest cal option. Now that I'm vegetarian, I ordered the braised bean plate and the arugula salad. The dressing is a fresh and tangy. The parm is nutty. The fennel is crisp. Arugula not wilted. The braised beans in tomato sauce taste like the gigante beans from bay cities in Santa Monica. The beans were great northern white beans. The tomato sauce tasted like a shakshouka sauce. It looked like the tomato soup they serve. I would order this again with mashed potatoes or wait for the autumn seasonal veggies (green beans and carrots). There inside is a bit dated compared to other fast casual spots. read more

They provided fast service and made sure all of my family's needs were met. Jason, the manager, came by to check on my children and me while we were eating. I haven't been to Tender Greens in ages, but I really wanted a salad. This Tuna salad was so nasty. The Tuna wasn't seasoned and the vinaigrette dressing drowned out all of the potential flavors. I ate the salad because I was extremely hungry, but I couldn't eat that Tuna. This was very disappointing. The food is not good and the Holden vinaigrette didn't do it for me. Really nice dining option in downtown Culver City. The food is relatively healthy and tastes homemade. They balance the proteins with lots of healthy options including different types of rice, greens, and nuts. I was particularly impressed with the short rib mash. For the price point, I was surprised at the quality of the braised short rib, had a sweet and smoky glaze that paired well with the mashed potatoes. The green juice is also great and for a great price as well. Well, have not been back here in ages and to be honest... not as good as I remembered. Nothing wrong with the chicken cobb salad I ordered but just okay... what is still great is sitting outside with plenty of shade and plenty of privacy bc tables are arranged perfectly. I have done two visits where while in town. I did a takeout order with the Plate (steak, mash potatoes, seasonal veggies, and a side of chicken pozole soup). The order took a while but there were a few people ahead of me. Two nights later, I wasn't that hungry but really wanted soup. I couldn't find any place else around that had decent soup. I decided rather than doing takeout, I would eat it here so that my soup wouldn't get cold. I placed my order - pozole (again) and mashed sweet potatoes. Less than 5 mins, my order was out. The pozole was a bit spicy but it had good flavor and hit the spot. I opted for the cup size which was just right for me. The mashed sweet potatoes had a good texture and flavor. Good size portions, and you can choose two sides- mashed and salad or mashed and veggies, or even change it to soup- great healthy options in this lovely place! I have been coming to "Tender Greens" for years and can definitely say that quality of food and service there is just great! I met up with some friends here for the first time. It's a nice and simple order, sit at a table outside, and they'll bring you your food. I ordered a falafel sandwich with mashed potatoes, and I loved it! Those mashed potatoes were delicious, and I didn't miss the fact that there was no gravy to go with it. I stumbled upon them in Culver City on their opening day over a decade ago and am so happy to know the consistently great food and service have remained the same.
