Very good Mediterranean food, gyros, kabobs, salads. Food appears fresh and well prepared. My one issue is they no longer have the lemon orzo soup, which was my favorite, and a classic in mediterranean/greek food. Yo, the chicken pita was bomb, but the fries were just regular frozen ones, nothing special. The garlic sauce was different though, never had it with feta before. The service was on point, the young guy seemed well-trained. The price was alright, considering what you usually pay these days. 16 bucks for lunch, but no drink included. My only complaint is that they charged me for the sauce. Come on, if someone's spending 15 bucks, can't you throw in a sauce that probably costs you like 25 cents to make? read more

Every employee I interacted with truly went above and beyond to give my toddler and I an amazing experience. The only Luna Grill we dine at is at the Santee location! We live in La Mesa, but will always go to Santee because of their great service and ofcourse their attention to quality of food and food presentation. The managers Brandon and Julian always provide great service. They check in with their guests to ensure they are satisfied with the food and service. Fantastic service here! We truly felt that we were in a full service restaurant here. Our local location is nothing like this. The cashier gave us a courtesy drink for waiting in line for a while then we brought us our food with extra sauces. I call that great service. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name. These are the little details that can make a huge difference and boost an eating experience from good to great. I will certainly be eating here again, BUT, it will be under pretty specific circumstances, like feeding a lot of people. I will have a hard time choosing this for a lunch or dinner over other places in east county that are a bit better on the margins

I especially love the addition of a unique crunchy garnish for each dip; chickpeas on the hummus, olives on the Turkish baba ganoush, pomegranate seeds on the baba ganoush, and coarser chopped cucumber in the tzatziki. Presentation is also beautiful, with all the color and each dip smoothed in a nice pattern. My only wish is that the baba ganoush is a little smokier. We also had the Ney classic grill which came with beef shawarma, beef skewer, chicken skewer, 2 lamb kofta, and breaded chicken. The menu claims this serves 2-3, but we probably only ate half between 4 relatively light eaters after our spread combo. I really enjoyed the shawarma; the chicken and filet mignon is a little light on the seasoning but the flavor is otherwise good; the kofta could be more tender in my opinion. I rarely see chicken cream chop in grill platters, but it was well executed. The platter also comes with pickles and rice and biryani, all of who I enjoyed. The biryani comes with almonds and raisins and everything has a nice sumac flavor. They also include garlic sauce and tahini; the garlic is really punchy. The jalapeno was crazy spicy. Everything is served on a bed of lavash, but it gets a little soggy under all the meat. If I were to give feedback, I would prefer the shawarma a little less salty and the grilled filet mignon and chicken a little more salty. Not sure why it's so disparate. For the amount of food, the price is very reasonable for a seated dining experience. One note is that they really blast the AC, so dress a little on the warmer side if you run cold. Luna Grill is a fantastic spot if you're in the mood for fresh, delicious Mediterranean food. The first thing I noticed when walking in was how easy it is to navigate the menu - the options are displayed big and clear, making it super easy to read and choose from. The layout is spacious and impeccably clean, with plenty of seating both indoors and outside. The service was great, too. The employee who helped me and my friend was incredibly nice and in a good mood, which really added to the positive vibe. They went above and beyond to ensure that our additional items were on their way, checking in so we never felt forgotten. As always, the food was fresh and tasted amazing. You can really tell they care about quality, and it keeps me coming back for more. read more

My first visit to Luna Grill in Santee was fantastic. The meal was great, but I want to talk about the customer service: Julian, the manager, Angie, and Dylan are awesome! Julian manages this locale like a top notch eatery. He's warm, patient, and friendly. Based on the interactions with employees that I observed, a great leader. Angie was very mindful, helping me pick up a dish that would fit my vegan lifestyle, with professional, cheerful, and kind attitude. Dylan sat with me to help me figure out how to download the Luna app and to ensure I get my welcome points and discounts. I'm at Luna Grill right now, my second time, and I feel like I'm eating with family. And yes, they have great vegetarian and vegan options. Thank you! read more

I recently dined at Luna Grill in Santee and had an exceptional experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. The menu offered a fantastic variety of Mediterranean dishes, and everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. The chicken kabob was perfectly grilled, and the hummus was some of the best I've ever had. The serve who helped me named Brandon was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Love coming here! We needed a good Mediterranean spot in Santee. Grateful that Luna took over Daphne's. I've been here 5 times now and truly have always had a great experience. I salivate thinking about their santorini chicken bowl! So good! Also try their spicy feta, spicy hummus and spicy tzatziki sauce with pita. I met the manager today to tell him that I've had such a great experience with the app and the perks. He was super kind in wanting to know my honest opinion thus far. I discovered this Luna Grill location because there's a chipotle right next door that I would eat at. I decided to try Luna grill for the first time and let me tell you I was not disappointed. The staff is extremely on top of it, and the kitchen prepares the meals fresh and presents the plate very visually pleasing. The managers are always making sure their guests are comfortable and always asking if they need anything. Not to mention, The food is delicious and perfect if you're trying to aim for a healthy yet delicious meal. 10/10 recommend! :) read more

Luna Grill is always a great experience. The food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently well prepared. I highly recommend Luna Grill for delicious food and excellent service. Robert & Brandon made my experience stand out. They were friendly, efficient, and ensured that i had everything i needed. I've tried several dishes, but the grilled chicken plate is my go-to. The chicken is always cooked to perfection, and the basmati rice, tzatziki sauce, and pita bread are the perfect accompaniments. Well we are quite, no, VERY disappointed after placing a order for delivery, food was cold and the pita was ridiculously small (skimpy on the gyro meat) compared to Greek Chicken in El Cajon. Also there was no Tzatziki sauce. I do not like writing a review, especially a bad one but this was a waste of money, my neighbor had recommended, but no more. I will be ordering Greek Chicken in El Cajon this week only to confirm my BAD review. read more

Haven't been here for awhile, and I must say Luna Santee is still a great place to have a delicious meal! Edith is amazing! Still has a friendly smile and always so cheerful and prompt at taking the orders and getting them right! Really enjoyed having a wrap!!! It was awsome!! Guess it's my new favorite! This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they're doing and what they're talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. I've gone to several of the Luna Grill locations throughout San Diego and by far the one in Santee is the BEST. I go for lunch a few times out of the month for their chicken kabobs. My most recent experience was phenomenal. The employee at the front, Edith, was very friendly, she provided great customer service. Will definitely be back to this location. read more

I was almost home (a 40-minute drive) when I received a call telling me they had forgotten to give me the Greek salad. I had to turn around and drive all the way back to the restaurant to pick it up. What was most disappointing wasn't just the mistake, but how it was handled. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, and no attempt to make things right. Even a simple "We're sorry" or a small gesture of goodwill would have gone a long way, especially considering it was my daughter's birthday and all of our hot food was getting cold while I made another round trip. When I picked up the salad, I asked for the dressing and was told it had already been added. Unfortunately, when I got home and opened everything, the salad had no dressing at all. We were also given only one small container of ranch for two large orders of fried zucchini. The salad was basically a tray of plain lettuce, and without dressing it wasn't enjoyable. By the time we finally sat down to eat, almost 2 hours had passed since the food had been packed. The hot food was no longer hot, the order was incomplete, and it felt like there was very little care or attention given to getting it right. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What really disappointed me was the complete lack of customer service after the mistake was discovered. This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner for my daughter, and instead it turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. Sadly, after this visit, I'm seriously reconsidering whether we'll be coming back.
