I recently got a takeout from this Luna grill. What a pleasant experience! The staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional. The Santorini bowl was excellent - savory with different textures, flavors, and noticeably fresh ingredients. A very satisfying meal that I could barely finish. Horrible. Stopped in at 4:40pm on a Wednesday afternoon. There was no one in line, and 8 people already eating in the restaurant. I ordered two sides of fries- that's it. 20 mins go by I see all this food coming out getting bagged up getting set on the counter for online orders. I go and ask how much longer for my 2 sides of fries? They tell me I don't know maybe ten more minutes there are still 3 orders here...mind you all those orders weren't up when we placed ours. So I ask if I could just please get my sides of fries so I can go- I had just stopped in on a road trip and didn't expect that wait for fries. After asking the cook she said ok, it still took 5 more minutes and asking the cook multiple times before the fries came out. Who does that? This seems to be an on going problem with this restaurant or location. Twice they have messed up my to go order. This evening was the second. My order was so disappointing my falafels were burnt. Salad was old and wilted. Cucumber and tomatoes in garbanzo salad were soggy and old. They have delivery through DoorDash etc. resend your screw up why should I have to pay with time and milage for your mistake. I have been a loyal customer since they opened and unfortunately my last order was enough to make me say goodbye to Luna Grill When I took a bite of my stuffed grape leaves, I'm so happy I didn't bite down and or chew hard because I could have broken a tooth. This is a bit late, but wanted to thank Eric and Valentina (I think this is her name) who were so kind and helpful a couple of weeks ago. Long story short, I always order my food through their Luna Grill app. It just makes it easier and convenient. Well that day I was so busy at work I "ordered" but when I got there, they didn't have my order ready. They looked in their computer and didn't see it. Then Valentina asks, do you mind checking to see if it went through on your end?" So I bring it up and I had completely forgotten to hit "pay." Work was so busy and I was so distracted. So Eric and Valentina said to hit pay and they would work on getting it completed for me. And they did. The food and the service were great as usual, but I am disappointed that Luna Grill is serving food on single-use plastics still, since the pandemic. They served food on lovely plates and used metal flatware in the past, which made for a finer dining experience. I needed to blast onto Yelp in order to reset the karmic energy that was bestowed upon me in my most recent visit to Luna Grill. I had just got off a long day of work, and my beautiful wife had texted me to ask if I could bring home some premium Mediterranean meals. No problem, right? ACTUALLY, BIG PROBLEM!! This idiot (me) let down my family and failed myself by ordering ahead but accidentally placing the order in Culver City!! I didn't realize it until I was there trying to pick up my food, and at that point I was faced with two options. I could make the 3 hour trek down to Culver City and back, or my family could go to bed hungry again. What would you have done? It was at that moment that Carlos stepped off the line and said, "We'll make your order. What did you have?" In a state of shock, I mumbled chicken and gyro plates with baklava... and everything was alright in the world again.
