No. The food filled us up as the slices were huge and it was a cheap meal. I feel like there could be more spices or flavor and using fresh not canned mushrooms would help. The only thing I would change about my last visit is the foam plates. I have no problem with disposables, but foam isn't really biodegradable. The food was great, though. I had spaghetti with meat sauce. Friend had ravioli. You could taste the love. Even the italian & ranch dressing on the salads were homemade. He told us that, but you could clearly taste it. The place was clean. The cashier & waitress were friendly. We didn't wait long for our food to come out. As we were eating, I noticed that a few regulars stopped by...that says something. Two things, actually...one is that the owner is real good at remembering his customers. Second is that the rest of the food has to be good if people "default" to this place. I can't believe I've lived 2 minutes away for years and this is the first time visit to this gem. While waiting on a battery change service on my car I wandered over from the Walmart and saw Luna Pizza and a New Mexican restaurant on the corner. Lunas said they had sandwiches, which I preferred to a pizza and the New Mexican place advertised quesadillas birriria. I decided to go to the Mexican. Opened the door and saw they are still building out the place. It looks very nice! So, Lunad it was. The menu said they had eggplant sandwiches. I lived in Italy for 8 years, but an eggplant sandwiches is new to me. Ok, with fries. The cashier explained in detail how they build the eggplant sandwiches including how varied the texture is. It's great when the workers (probably owner! ) are so conversant about their products. Well, it was delivered to my table. It looked good (covered in cheese with a hidden ample dollop of marinara sauce in a quality submarine type bun. The sandwich was great from first bite. Enough for two people for sure! I had fries on the side. The fries here are Excellent. They have a very tasty coating and the perfect blend of outside crunch and soft inside. They have beer, but I am driving, so it was fountain rootbeer for me. One way I rate restaurants worldwide is by their restrooms. Luna exceeds in keeping the bathrooms pristine, smelling very pleasant and everything in perfect order. They spent a lot upgrading the bathrooms and it shows. I'm going to give them 10/10 stars...oh, and I notice that they have numerous awards for Best in Glendale. I look forward to my next visit! read more

Order a supreme 18 inch pizza and had it delivered. Unfortunately, it was very bland. No real flavor to it at all. All we could taste was onions and bell pepper. The meats had no good Italian punch. The cheese was bland and the dough just..... not even the dough, I like that little hint of salt in the dough.. the sauce had no flavor the pizza just didn't to it for me. It's been less than an hour since I finished my food and I can't stop thinking about how good this place is. I feel spoiled growing up on the east coast with good pizza, and after living out here for a decade I've found some decent spots. I just moved to this area and started my search for good pizza nearby and this was the first place and honestly I don't think I need to try anywhere else. Have been coming to Luna Pizza for decades on and off. It was run by an Italian family. It seems they sold it at some point, and I'm happy to say it seems they have kept the original recipes for the pizza and the wings. The food is consistently good, thin crust NY pizza and wings. Yes they have other food as well. We always get the anti-pasta salad piled high with meat and other goodies. The garlic rolls that come with it are yummy. This is a clean red brick walled place with lots of seating. For some reason they play country music in the background. It's not that I don't like the music, it just seems odd in a pizza place. And there are TV's playing whatever games are on. The service is always friendly. And the food is brought out hot and in a timely manner. Today, when they brought out our Pizza, which seemed to be taking a little longer than usual, the owner said that the middle of the pizza had stuck to the oven floor, so it was damaged. He put another in, but he didn't want us to have to wait , so he brought us the damaged one to eat now, and would box the other for us to take home, no charge. If he hadn't said anything I don't think we would have noticed, and even if we did, I wouldn't have complained. It was really just a little spot in the middle of the pizza. But the care, professionalism, these new owners have for what they serve deserved this review and my ongoing loyalty. Go check them out. read more

This is how they deliver their pizzas. Cold and only half of it able to eaten. When I called to to tell them what happened they said there is no manager on duty so I cannot get a refund which I didn't even want. I asked if I could come pick up a new pizza and a girl on the phone said nope there's no manager on duty so I cannot get different pizza. I was stuck with this with zero resolution. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere and for better pizza and order from Luckys on 67th and cactus. I'm sure the owner will respond to this but I CALLED politely and asked for a resolution and when was told no twice, my boyfriend was the one who took the phone after I was told there's nothing they can do. We were driving around looking for a place to go when hubby saw the sign and said he'd heard they were good. So, we pulled on in and decided to have dinner here. We started with the zucchini sticks, which were really good! They were crispy and not overly breaded, so you could still taste the zucchini. They were served with ranch and marinara...both very tasty! We each got their 2 slices and a drink special. Hubby got regular cheese pizza and I got meatball with fresh garlic pizza. BTW, the slices were huge!!! The pizza was very good! The crust was actually perfect. Hubby also wanted to try their wings, so we got a 10 piece of BBQ. The wings had great flavor, were really meaty and perfectly sauced. To be honest, everything was flavorful and very satisfying. Plus, the staff were real friendly, which always makes things fun. We have been coming here for years! We love it and so do our kids. They have something for everyone, from pizza to salads and sandwiches to pasta and so much in between! The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is super friendly! They also have lunch specials that I recommend taking advantage of. Dining area and bathrooms are clean. There's no changing table in the bathrooms but that isn't a too much of a problem. Would be really nice to have one. Highly recommend to everyone! read more

We ordered the calzone special, chicken parmesan, and garlic cheese bread to share. My husband said the calzone was the best he's ever had. My chicken parm was wonderful and a far larger portion than I expected. Two large chicken breasts (cooked perfectly), a generous amount of spaghetti, plenty of deliciously chunky sauce and lots of mozzarella. It also came with 3 garlic knots (soft and warm) and a side salad, which was cool and crisp. I'm betting it was all homemade because it certainly tasted that way. read more

Usually love this place but today sucked! The delivery guy didn't listen to instructions which caused him to go to the back door and then ring the doorbell when we had just got the baby to sleep. We ordered a pizza, appetizer combo, and a hot sandwich. The appetizers looked light in quantity so we called immediately to ask how many of each kind were supposed to be included. They advised of how many, which was correct, so no problem. When we eventually tried the mozzarella sticks, we found they were not cooked thoroughly so we called back. The manager told his employee that we were just trying to get free food and we should have told them the first time we called EVEN THOUGH WE HAD NOT YET TRIED ANY OF THE FOOD YET!
