Has always been a fave...hubby and I went for dinner and left. Were there well over an hour and only received salad and drinks. Tables that sat down at the same time as us ate and left. Never saw our waitress so we asked a busboy to find her and told him we never got our food. Saw our waitress and other staff so went up and she said " I don't know what happened, I put your ticket in" but we never got our food. This place was extremely disappointing due to the price that you pay for food. The chicken parmigiana was over cooked, their 17 layer lasagna was 3 layers and when you call, the manager says that you should have paid for the dinner portion to get more...how poor is that!! Always been a family favorite for many years. But this is first time we've done carry out since Covid. The food was great and the order accurate (there was 6 of us in one order). And The service was outstanding! I'm on a new (doctor ordered) low sodium diet. Spoke to Courtney and she worked with the chef to alter my fav dish-Cashew Chicken Pasta-into a low sodium version. Haven't been here in a loong, loooong time but if you haven't visited, it is a great place to dine. Kinda dressy/casual, dark and not too big. Their sausage and sun dried tomatoes in a cream sauce and their pesto covered cheese raviolis are what got me started and interested in Italian cooking. Service has always been great and I will definitely dine again when I visit the Quad Cities. Just ridiculously great Italian! Check it out! Love this little hole in the wall restaurant. I've been twice and enjoyed the food both times. Lasagna was terrific and HUGE! Had enough food for a full meal the next day! Second time, I had the chicken parmigiana. Again, enough food for a full meal the next day. Two full chicken breasts. Atmosphere is quaint. Brick walls, dimly lit. Sat at the bar the second visit as there was an hour wait. Got terrific service both times. I plan to go again when I'm craving Italian. I like the ambiance here better than biaggi's. Average price for a meal is $15-$18. Worth the price since there really is enough food to either share or have leftovers for a full second meal. read more

Ordered carry out from Lunardi's and they said it would be 25 to thirty minute it took just short of a hour. Had to wait that's always a bummer. Ordered pizza and lasagna heard good things but they use to much cheese it over powers the other ingredients. Order side Caesar salad it was a garden salad with honey mustard. It sucks when you get home and your order is wrong. Maybe they are just having a off night. Will try again sometime but it's differently not our go to place. We sure were hoping for better. This is probably my favorite Italian food in the Quad cities. The atmosphere is bright and pretty, the waitresses are so friendly. I have tried many of the entrées and have never been disappointed, but my husband's favorite is the lasagna. It is out of this world!!! They make their own language any pasta. First there was no bread, ok no big deal, salad was horrible and small! 6 cashews, no tomato, no croutons and the lettuce was straight from a bag mix! Wasted $10.99. Very reliable Italian fare. I got veal, which was very tender and nicely prepared. It came with bowtie pasta and a choice of sauces, and accompanied the meal nicely. My wife got pasta and veggies and it was a nice assortment of fresh flavors, and plenty for dinner and a lunch the next day. The wine selection is decent, and since it was a Saturday night we called ahead for reservations and were told we would be able to get in without them and we were seated right away at 6 PM on a Saturday night. It did fill up pretty good after that, but there were always tables available. Service was good. read more

Waiting to be seated the host spoke to three tables for 15minutes as they were getting ready to leave. Once seated our waitress ignored us for 25 minutes. After 45 minutes waiting for food they apologized, but the waitress never returned. The fettuccini alfredo is water...water, not creamy, no flavor. The appetizer, zero taste and one fried ravioli was still frozen. This is the worst restaurant I have been to in QC. It's a shame, before they closed it was my girlfriends favorite restaurant. read more

So many wonderful dishes from which to choose. Decided on the lasagna based on other reviews. It was absolutely the best I have ever had. The other reviewers are right on about the portion size. I ate all I could and the leftovers fed both my husband and I the next night. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The waitress was helpful and very pleasant. It was a very enjoyable night with good friends. We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday night and the bonus was half off bottles of wine. We will definitely work our way through this menu! read more

I stopped in here for the first time for lunch, and I am utterly impressed with both the food and staff. I had the lasagna, which was phenomenal. It had great texture as well as being smothered in cheese. The salad with their dressing was great as well. I washed it all down with a Peroni draft, getting another thumbs up. Great little Italian restaurant in the QC. If you haven't been you must give it a try.

In a tiny strip mall near Northpark, this family-owned Italian restaurant is easy to overlook, but you should not! They have some delectable entrees, including the sausage with sun-dried tomatoes, the veal marsala, and my personal favorite, the fettucine vongole. Because it is a smaller restaurant, it is more quiet and intimate than Biaggi's, or its Northpark neighbor, Olive Garden. All the wait-staff are attentive, and knowledgeable of the menus and specials. The management is very hands-on, making sure dishes are expedited carefully and the kitchen runs smoothly. I have been to Lunardi's many times and have never had a poor experience or indeed anything at all to comment unfavorably on. If you go at lunchtime (and I recommend you do if you if you are shopping at the mall), ask to sit in Tammy's section. She is a terrific waitress: personable, prompt, and attentive. Honestly, I'd rather eat at the Olive Garden over this place. Tiramisu, for example and sake of comparison, has far better food. About every entree here is $18. It was a busy Saturday night and our server was distant to say the least. There were several servers working but ours was not seen very often. I guess we were just unlucky. I wanted to like this place based on the reviews and I'm really sorry to write this as it seems to be a local favorite, but I have to be honest. Maybe the kitchen was having an off night but my food was horrible. The clam chowder obviously came out of a can and had the consistency of pudding, kind of like they didn't add enough milk when heating it up. It tasted okay and I did eat it mostly because I was really hungry. I ordered Tilapia Parmesan and the menu said it would be a crusted filet with a mushroom cream sauce drizzled on top with a side of pasta with the same sauce. What I got was a plain filet smothered in the same sauce as the clam chowder soup, same consistency, only with mushrooms thrown in. The side of pasta, also smothered with the sauce, was cold. No parmesan crust in sight and the fish was lukewarm. I had to send it back as it was gelatinous. The basket of bread was cold as well. No problems with the front of the house and our server was amazing (hence the two stars) but Gordon Ramsey would have a field day with the product from the kitchen. read more

This is a warm, homey family restaurant, with amazing Italian food. From the standards of spaghetti and lasagna, to fantastic pastas like Chicken, cashew pasta. Angel hair with chicken, mushrooms, cashews and water chestnuts in a wonderful olive oil with green onions! It is an amazing taste, and wonderful crunch. My favorite meal there. And if you go on Friday, they have a super clam chowder!! My husband had steak Marsala. Very good. If you are looking for Italian, skip Olive Garden and head here! The food is 100 times better! Fresh and delicious. It's a little more pricey, but so worth it. Everyone loved their food. Sadly the children next to us were noisy and it was hard to have a conversation. This isn't a place for kids perse, I think they had a kids menu, but this is not a place I'd take kids to. We went at lunchtime. Waitstaff was pleasant. We will definitely be going here instead of Olive Garden. Yes, the food is a little slow coming out, but it's being made FRESH. People need to understand that when food is being prepared fresh, it takes longer to prepare. This is when you enjoy the company of the people you are with. Drove past Lunardis many times on my way to Olive Garden. Always said we should stop there, but never had. Stopped in the other night, I will say the location in a small run down strip mall has always been a turn off for me, but we gave it a go. We were offered soup of the day or minestrone, the soup of the day way minestrone with meatballs. Sounded like leftover soup they just added meatballs to. Instead we had a good salad. I ordered their "famous" lasagna and my wife ordered the chicken Marsala. The lasagna was delicious, many many wonderful layers including sliced Italian sausage and pepperoni. I am a big guy and I took home half of this. My wife was quite impressed with the Marsala. The French bread was very good as well. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the lack of the same detail they gave to the main course on the starters. Good trip. read more

The waitstaff is pleasant. The food was authentic. I had the chicken marsala which was a cream base sauce on the sweeter side than I'm used to. However, the chicken was tender and the dish was well crafted. I loved the bow tie pasta! My mom had the bugatta (sp?) Which was hearty and the sauce tasted of sweet, homegrown tomatoes. Add in a couple of beers and it was a good meal. My only thought: the bread could have been served with the salad instead of the entree. In reality? Who cares! !!????!! The food is good. Have always loved Lunardi's - especially the Carbonara, which I ordered today. When it came to the table it literally had puddles of raw completely egg white - by the time our waitress got back to our table my husband and daughter were already done with their food so I asked her to just have the kitchen cook it and I would take it home and eat it. She was literally gone 2 minutes and came back with my food, the whole bottom of the styrofoam Togo container had slimy clear raw egg whites. I asked the waitress if they cooked it because it looks the exact same and her response was "yes they cooked it, it must be oil that you're seeing" without even looking at what I was talking about or offering to do anything about it. She handed us the credit card reader to pay for it and walked away. I will not be back. Too bad really because it has always been one of our favorites, now I get to go home and cook the food I just paid $18.95 for someone else to cook. read more

My husband and I recently frequented Lunardi's for a rare night out on Saturday. While there was a crowd, we were told that the wait was about 25 minutes and we had a seat at the bar. Over an hour later, we were finally seated. I ordered a glass of wine and the server forgot about it. Twenty minutes later we asked the server again for the wine. He apologized and promptly delivered it to our table. We had a pretty tasty meal and asked for the check when we finished. The server dropped off the check and then forgot about us for another 20 minutes. He apologized and thanked us for our patience, but by now we were irritated. I feel like we spent half of our rate night out waiting. Bottom line, good food but the service is lacking. read more

The salad was way over dressed. The pasta was over cooked on all our meals. Veal Parmesan wasn't breaded and was just greasy. The chicken in the Alfredo tasted like it had gone bad. Definitely will not be back! Disappointed since a friend gave a high recommendation for this restaurant. read more
