Luna's coffee house is family owned and has been here well before I started working in the area. It's a no frill, dependable, neighborhood staple that provides hospital staff and those surrounding a great place to get a quick bite to eat, lunch, coffee and other beverages. I got a bagel sandwich (cheese and jalapeno bagel with egg, avocado, and pepperjack cheese) and it was delicious and fresh. They do not skimp on the avocado and the service is hospitable. read more

Came in today for a Chai Latte & croissant ham bacon egg cheese sandwich while waiting for my dad's procedure. Service is always polite and quick. They ask twice to make sure my order was correct. They have ketchup and hot sauce accommodations on the side if you like for your sandwich. My latte was hot and delicious. My sandwich is superb! My Swiss cheese melted and bacon is crispy! read more

Luna's Coffee House has freshly made sandwiches and they are fairly quick. I like lunch spots where you can order, pick up and make it back in enough time to finish a meal. I've been here several times and my favorites are the toast turkey sandwich and the tuna. The dutch crunch bread is a favorite for these sandwiches. The people who operate this little deli and coffee house are really nice people and that's why I keep coming back. Mmmm, sammitches. read more

I stopped in to grab some lunch and coffee and was greeted kindly, the food was incredibly fresh, coffee hit the spot. While I was sitting and eating I could overhear the staff on the phone with Uber Eats. After he had contacted the driver multiple times he called the company because an order had been waiting to be picked up for over an hour. He asked for the company to cancel that driver and send a new one because the food was getting cold. It shows this establishment cares about their product and their customer satisfaction. Very friendly and calm environment. Definitely recommend! read more

I work at the general hospital and eat here at least twice a week. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious. I also recently tried the cheesesteak sandwich it was amazing. I like to also get the smoothies sometimes for a snack. The owners are so sweet and extremely generous. Everything is made fresh. I recommend trying some of the breakfast sandwiches as well. read more

Last Friday, after getting flu shots at Kaiser at 9 am (who knew there was going to be a long line at 8:30 am, plan your trip wisely but the wait wasn't too bad anyway), my roommates and I stopped by here to grab breakfast with the thought of supporting local businesses. Luna's Coffee House didn't disappoint us. We walked in with a determined mind of getting breakfast bagel sandwiches, however, we noticed the HUGE CROISSANT displaying at the counter--we end up getting breakfast croissant sandwiches haha! + Friendly staff. Two working at the counter. + Once order, step outside to wait for your order. (yay for social distancing) + HUGE CROISSANT. Did I say HUGE? IT'S HUGE! + My order: croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese was delicious. I was in the area looking for a quick place to grab breakfast. I was hesitant to try Luna's because it's near ZSFGH so I thought parking would be impossible. Also thought the line would be out the door. Decided to drive by, and I am so glad I did! It was around 7am on a week day, and I was able to find parking in a 1-hour spot less than 5 minute walk away. Surprisingly, it was empty inside! I ordered a breakfast sandwich. They let you choose your protein, cheese, and carb. I got the bacon, egg, and Swiss cheese with a jalapeño bagel [$5.99]. I also got a medium Caramel Macchiato [$4]. I thought the lady behind the register was rude at first, but it was more of a cultural difference. She was actually really warm and sweet, especially patient as I was figuring out what I wanted. I went to the emergency hospital nearby this place on Sunday. Since I had to wait so long in emergency, I've obviously got hungry and this place was the only one in a walkable distance and was showing as OPEN on yelp. I've struggled down to this place, hoping to get some food, and found it CLOSED. I was in pain and hungry, can you imagine my frustration?! My hubby and I were discussing how busy this little corner cafe always is and decided to drop in early morning for some breakfast! We ordered 2 croissants, bagel with cream cheese and a chai tea latte. The owners are very nice and friendly as the husband rung us up and the wife made our sandwiches. The croissant was soft, hot and an amazing morning bite! Chai Latte could be better, I am used to a stronger, cinnamon taste and this one seemed flavorless/water down. Nonetheless, great breakfast spot and will be back to try their chicken teriyaki sandwich soon! read more

i was very excited for my pastrami sandwich. about half way through, i notice mold on the bread. i had just picked it up from the shop, so there was nothing that i did that would've led to mold developing. kind of bummed. the staff is extremely polite and welcoming, but this is rather unfortunate. read more

I was so sad when I returned to SFGH in 2015 to find the dear Korean owners had sold the shop, but have fallen in love with the new owners and the CHICKEN TERIYAKI SANDO! They grill the chicken fresh everyday and throw it back on the grill as they make your order. The chicken is perfectly caramelized and not too sweet or saucy...and the jalapenos are my 'cherry on top'. Reasonable, honest and YUMMMMMM! Plus right across the street from SFGH! read more

THE quintessential mom and pop joint serving quality sandwiches. Whenever I walk in here, I'm greeted warmly with a smile by the lovely couple who owns this place. The male owner is always genuinely jovial. Just good energy to be around. Ingredients are quality. They surprisingly serve a mean chicken teriyaki here and macaroni salad! Can't go wrong with either the chicken teriyaki plate (if you have a big appetite) or sandwich. I'm picky about meat quality and the chicken here met my finicky standards. Plus the portions are fairly generous and the sandwiches are all very neatly made. They obviously care about the product they put out and it shows! Cons are that this place has very limited hours. They close super early so just breakfast or lunch here. Closed on weekends. Seating is very limited and the one time I did eat in, I ended up smelling like chicken teriyaki. :P It's a small place. That's why I usually take my food to go. If you come around noon, guaranteed there is a line of hospital employees grabbing grub so prepare for a wait. What's nice is there is a Walgreens down the block on 24th Ave. so you can use that time to pick up odds and ends or buy a drink as they have a limited selection of cold drinks here. Overall, a great choice near the hospital to grab reasonably priced quality food and you can feel good about supporting a small local business. read more

Thank you for being open and delivering! They arrived 15 mins faster than expected which was great because I was starving! The croissant egg sandwich was okay but I think I just didn't like the warm avocado on it which was my fault. The layer a good amount of ham and a thick piece of egg which was too much for me but if you eat more you get your moneys worth. Very filling. read more

My friend told me that I needed to try luna's teriyaki chicken plate. So I when in today and got it. I was expecting a little more chicken but overall it was good. I think I liked the rice a little more then the chicken. I also got a turkey sandwich for my sister and she hated it. She said the turkey didn't taste right and something about the color of the turkey beening off; so she throw it away. I don't think I would go back anytime soon. Luna's Coffee House breakfast are so scrumptious and aromatic - @UberEATS driver willing to commit an act of petty larceny (CA 484 PC) by saying delivered when not and presumably devoured by order. The folks at Luna checked in to make sure I didn't reorder by mistake. I didn't. They remade my order now and it was delivered. My mom & I are enjoying the breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was good. I can understand why it's so tempting to the driver, for driver to risk being fined up to one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding six months, or both (CA 490 PC) and yet it's not risk as Uber has the driver's info. My go to : bacon, egg, avocado on an everything bagel :) The couple who run the coffee shop are always super nice and that's what makes me go back. They really strive to give you the best customer service, quality food, when you support their business. Support local, support them! I ordered an iced coffee beverage, which was great. My significant other and I ordered a sandwich to go, which we were splitting for a light lunch back at the hotel. The person helping at the counter was not very friendly or helpful with questions. We asked for our sandwich to be made on the Dutch Crunch bread, as we were looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, when we got back to the hotel, it turned out that the sandwich was made on a regular ciabatta roll, which was not fresh. Additionally, the sandwich was mostly mixed greens. For the price, I expected more meat. With so many great food options in San Francisco, it is likely we won't stop by on future visits to the City.

The Godfather: Genoa and pepper salami, oven gold turkey, provolone, and garlic spread on Dutch crunch. Great texture, warm from the toaster, and the garlic spread ties it together. A San Francisco classic done right. The San Franpsycho: it normally comes with honey turkey, but they had rotisserie chicken on the spit so I swapped it in. Gouda, bacon, pesto, garlic spread, and remoulade. The pesto comes through right away and the chicken tastes like real rotisserie. Fair warning: it is messy. It drips. Do not eat this in the car. I could not find a clean way to eat it and ended up taking half home to finish. In their defense, I went rogue with the chicken order so that might have messed up the flow.
