Oh yea! This has been long overdue in this area. I've been craving dumplings and now it's walking distance from my job. This is going to be extremely hard because I like to workout during my lunch and now that this place is right around the corner, it's going to be hard to avoid this spot. I love the little setup and the place was so nice and clean. I love the esthetics and the vibe was sooo on point for being in Beverly Hills. I almost felt like I was somewhere else while dinning in. Once you step in, there's a register to order or you can order on the kiosk right next to it. I opted for the kiosks and waited for my order at the table. The food came out pretty quick and I decided to go with the fish fired dumplings and the shrimp fried dumplings. Both were so good! The outer noodle layer was soft and moist, with a little crisp, while the meat was nice, hot and flavorful. I can't wait to go back to try more options on the menu. The window drew me in and honestly that was enough reason to give it a try. The flavors here are good across the board and I think it works well for a range of taste buds, though it leans toward a more accessible, crowd pleasing version of dumplings rather than anything deeply authentic. It is also worth noting that this is Beverly Hills, so the markup is real and you should go in expecting that. For what it is, a solid and convenient quick bite in an area where good food can be hard to find at a reasonable price, it holds up fine. Not anything really special by 626 standards, which is fine as you can't expect the diverse palette out here to accommodate a wider and more authentic menu. Given the audience the menu does include vegan options, which is a nice touch. Lotus root in particular is lightly seasoned and more raw seeming than a lot of places, and the green onion pancake is best described as designed to be safe. The food was excellent--delicious, beautifully prepared, and definitely worth coming back for. My only disappointment was the loud techno music during an afternoon lunch. I had an hour to unwind and enjoy my meal, but the music made the atmosphere feel more like a nightclub than a relaxing lunch. This restaurant has a walk up window. The service was a bit snarly. It was not cheerful. We wanted pork plus vegetable dumplings. The only choice was pork with cabbage. They have a vegetable only dumpling with more than one vegetable selection. Too bad they can't combine the pork with the vegetarian mix for a more complex dumpling. These were no better than the dumplings I buy frozen in the supermarket and fry up on my own. Calling this "luscious" is a real exaggeration. It is a moderately priced meal which is pretty good for Beverly Hills. We saw others eating non dumpling offerings in the restaurant. Maybe those are tastier. The condiments offered were O.K. However, a soy based condiment mixed with rice vinegar and seasoned with fresh minced garlic, grated ginger, a bit of sugar and topped off with toasted sesame oil would be a definite improvement. read more

Excited to have more Chinese food options on the westside! I had to try the pork dumplings, soup dumplings, and scallion pancake. The pan fried pork dumplings were juicy. The scallion pancake was perfectly crisp and layered. The woodear mushroom salad was the right complement to the other fried and pork dishes. The vegan dumplings had a good filling with mushrooms, bean curd, cabbage, carrots, and glass noodles, but the skin was a thick, I prefer Din Tai Fung's vegan steamed dumplings with thinner skin over these. The soup dumplings were juicy and big but the skin was a bit thick too. I do want to come back and try the wonton soup, boiled dumplings, and noodle dishes. There are a few parking structures nearby and hey tea is on the next block so I'll definitely be back. read more

Stopped by this spot while in Beverly Hills for a business trip and ended up having one of the best lunch breaks of the week. The dumplings were fresh, soft, and packed with flavor. I'm rounding up. Beverly Hills pricing on an SGV spot but I appreciate having more legit options on the westside. The xlb were pretty good, it feels like a more fast casual version of DTF or even Dan. The skin is not as delicate and thin as places like DTF but the dumplings have plenty of soup. We tried the pork and crab, and I thought the meat itself could have a been a little juicier but the soup was plentiful. A couple things that would improve the experience and make it feel more authentic (in addition to thinner xlb skin) - the ginger is chopped too thick and not julienned thin enough for xlb. (DTF does this well) The plastic disposable soup spoons are ridiculously narrow, like more narrow than a regular spoon, and make it hard to properly eat the xlb because it is so much larger than the spoon and you cant capture the juice properly. Also it was freezing cold in the restaurant with the fan or ac on full blast on an already chilly night. read more

My personal favorite is the pan fried pork dumplings, because the juicy pork filling juxtaposes with the crispy wrapping for a palette of gastronomical delight. The filling is generously sized, the wrapping not too thick, and there's some soup inside too, which makes it the perfect candidate to be devoured hot! Another classic is the shrimp, pork, and chives dumplings. Execution was on point, and the crispy shrimp complemented the pork and chives. A bold, flavorful filling that is best enjoyed boiled. We paired the dumplings with the mushroom meat sauce noodle--another Luscious classic. Note that this location (as of the second day of the soft opening) pairs the noods with pickled cabbage rather than fresh cabbage. The angus stewed beef noodle soup was another standout. The broth was flavorful, and the noodles were properly timed for that al dente "QQ" texture. The ambiance is fast casual; definitely more polished than the Monrovia location. The diningware is upgraded, and the Jeanneret chairs add that touch of BH luxe. Drinks and sauces are self-service. Staff are friendly and helpful. We randomly walked into Luscious Dumplings after strolling around Beverly Hills and honestly didn't expect much -- but we were pleasantly surprised. The dumplings tasted incredibly authentic. We ordered chive and pork boiled and pan fried beef & cheese dumplings, two appetizers. Everything tasted fresh and well made. After dinner we looked the place up online and realized it has actually been a Michelin Bib Gourmand recommendation from 2021 to 2025, which suddenly made a lot of sense. I don't know what these reviews are talking about. I randomly noticed a new dumpling business so I walked in and ordered two dishes to go. I had no expectations and never checked the reviews before trying this place, so I actually didn't know it was a chain. The place is clean and probably a comfortable lunch spot. One of the reviews said the food tasted "fresh". I clearly saw them heat up frozen dumplings. Maybe they're freshly frozen. The steamed yuzu dumplings were just okay. I wasn't impressed. The fried beef, onion and cheese dumplings tasted really good at first but left an overwhelming onion aftertaste I've been trying to shake for hours. read more

Absolutely the BEST DUMPLINGS ever (literally luscious), with incredible noodles, rice dishes, and super addictive side dishes (scallion pancakes, steamed bok choy, and bean curd are among our favorites). We've been going to the original location for over a decade (it was also the favorite dumpling place of the late and great food critic Jonathan Gold, whom I also had the honor of knowing personally and thus learned a lot about how to appreciate truly delicious restaurants). Was looking forward for them to open and it's taken over a year for them to open but was excited that they finally opened. Went there on Monday February 23rd and got a menu to go and took it to work since I work across the street. Some of the items on their menu were crossed off with a sharpie because they didn't have those items. My coworkers and I agreed we would order tomorrow. I go there the following day with the menu that was given to me the previous day and already had marked off some things that I was planning on ordering, I order the beef stew soup and when I went to pay, the cashier young nice man tells me the price and noticed it was a higher price then what the menu says. I pointed out the menu prices and he tells me the prices are for the Monrovia location. I told him nicely that they should still honor the prices shown on the menu that was given to me and at the same time the restaurant started getting customers and some other employees were giving out customers the same menu with the WRONG prices. He then calls the owner and the I nicely explained to him that I work in the area and have been anticipating their grand opening and I mentioned the prices on the menu and that I am being charged more. He rudely tells me out loud you are taking advantage of me! He tells me repeatedly these prices are for the Monrovia location, this is Beverly Hills not Monrovia. I didn't know what to say and could not believe his behavior and I told him how am I taking advantage of you? It's the other way around, your taking advantage of the customers by charging them more money and the prices should have been crossed off with a sharpie just like you crossed off the items that were not available. He then tries to fix the price and honors the price. I then placed another order for my coworker and I was paying cash on this order, and again the same problem with the prices being higher for the dumplings and not what the menu says, the owner comes back and yells at me and says "YOU ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF ME" he repeats this like 3 times and customers are in the store hearing him shout at me. I went back to work to get more money and I told my coworker what had just happened and he said nope I don't want anything from there I won't be going there at all. At this point I'm furious of how I was just treated by the owner and asked for a refund and the owner had a hard time issuing me a refund and the cashier had to help him. Then the owner asks me if I had ZELLE? so he could ZELLE me the refund? Like the AUDACITY of him to even ask this is absurd. I'm sure you could have just taken out the money from the register but he's so incompetent that he couldn't figure it out. I then ask him what's your name? And he gets in my face and asks me what's your name. He then tells me I never want to see you again. I told him I'm NEVER planning on going there ever again and I will make sure I tell everyone in Beverly Hills to not eat here. I'm sure it doesn't cost you that much money to print out NEW MENUS with higher prices. For a new restaurant that just opened in Beverly Hills, you won't last here!!!!!!!! read more

Delicious umami comfort food. Excellent with the vinegar sauce and chili sauce that came with the order. Also, sort of random but the take out container it comes in was oddly very nice - it kept the food warm and had all the sauces you'd want. Just a thoughtful touch.
