    ##9 Chashu Supreme + dumplings
    Shana S.

BEST RAMEN I HAVE EVER HAD! We dropped by this on a whim, and I'm SO glad we did. They had just opened for the day, so there was no wait to be seated and the service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is cozy, but pretty much all you need to have some amazing ramen![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with the drunken sake crispy wings, which tasted like nothing we'd had before. They're super crispy, juicy and very tasty. For my main, I got the #9 Chashu supreme and added dumplings. SO bomb!! From the moment it arrives at your table, the aroma of truffle is just divine! The flavors are perfectly balance with just enough spice. 10/10 recommend!

Went to Kazan for lunch and found easy street parking, which was a nice bonus. The food was really good with subtle, balanced flavors and quality ingredients throughout. I ordered the Creamy Fusion #3 with pork, and while I enjoyed it, next time I'd probably try something with a little more bold flavor. The soba noodles in the ramen were excellent fresh, smooth, and cooked nicely. Service was fast and efficient, which I appreciated. I do wish they had physical menus instead of only QR codes though. We also tried the Wagyu sando and thought it was just average compared to the ramen. Overall, it's a solid ramen spot with high quality ingredients, and I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

I've long been a follower on Instagram; Chef Ryu's passion for ramen is in fact remarkable. Parking isn't too hard to find on a Sunday afternoon, and there's ample parking around the area to avoid valet. There's even street parking on the same block. There are two entrances, and I chose the one at the patio with a gate. The hostess greeted me; we exchanged brief conversation about Tokyo and then got to ordering an Ultimate Master Kai Truffle Tsukemen with Paper Noodles for the experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While waiting for the food, I enjoyed the calm afternoon with their relaxing, Japanese decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The tsukemen shortly arrived, and this was a very satisfying meal with no additional add-ons. The best part about tsukemen is that the noodles and ingredients are never over seasoned. Why? You can dip it in, and it isn't drenched. Paper noodles were nice, since every inch of it was coated in broth. The egg itself was a small but fun hassle in peeling. Never peeled a poached egg before? Now's your chance! All of the veggies were fresh, too. Not being able to meet / hear Chef Ryu in person made the experience feel incomplete, but I guess that means it's time to plan the next visit!

Bougie ramen in Beverly Hills? An incredible LA experience, especially on my birthday! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Kazan means "volcano" in Japanese, and it was very cute because all the bowls looked like little mt fujis, and the theme was very apparent throughout the restaurant![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's no wonder this place racked up so many Michelin Gourmet recognitions over the years. This is ramen reimagined, but still retaining a sense of authenticity. Their most popular item on the menu is their Creamy Fusion Ramen. So that's of course what I got. The noodles were thick and flat, reminded me of egg noodle pasta actually! Perfectly chewy, al dente, great texture. It came with 3 slices of chashu pork, that were seasoned perfectly. Also 2 wontons, that I wasn't a huge fan of. But man that sauce was dank! So creamy, yet light!! Bursting with flavor. We also ordered this Wagyu Sando, that I can't seem to find on the website menu to confirm. But it came with 4 pieces and was pretty good. I think the spice covered the flavor a bit, but I enjoyed it! Staff was very friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Interior was sleek, clean, and very chic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wouldn't have expected less from a stylish ramen joint in Beverly Hills.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Valet parking for $12.

On the pricier side for Ramen, but so worth it! Not to mention Michelin awards and fresh made noodles? We found some metered street parking and arrived right when they opened. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant isn't too big - maybe about 25 seats indoors?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great and the waiter was really friendly and attentive. What we ordered: Shrimp Tempura - (5/5) The most airy, shrimp cooked to perfection! It came with 3 dipping sauces - which were a little spicy, but paired really well with the shrimp. Wagyu Sando - (5/5) So so good! The bread was buttery and crispy, wagyu beef was mixed with cheese and jalapeños, onion and a special sauce. Highly recommend ordering this! Signature #1 Ramen - The broth is soy-based with a hint of truffle. It tasted really clean and smooth. Paired with the homemade wontons and pork chashu, it made the perfect combo. Overall, I loved what we ordered. There is an array of items on their menu worth trying, and I know I'll be back soon. Enjoy!

Street parking or valet at the adjacent business next door ( do keep in mind their hours of operation) My second time here and won't be the last . But first I need to save $$ to enjoy their outstanding ramen meal at this Consecutive 4 years Michelin Star restaurant. Kazan is small I recommend groups of 6 or more it is best to call ahead . Their outdoor seatings definitely can accommodate bigger crowds. It is on a bit pricier side than some of the other ramen places I been too. Needless to say I can justify the price point . Their Fresh hand made noodles were the most tastiest I ever had. Chewy al dente cooked to perfection. Sopped in the rich Lei ramen broth is worthy of a loud slurp . My only complaint , the broth was a tad too salty . My friend and I had the ramen with the delicious lamb shanks .

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Welcoming vibe and welcoming owner, which definitely added a nice personal touch to the experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Yes, it has a Michelin star, so expectations were high going in. The food was good, but for me, the broth was a little too salty, which took away from enjoying it fully. Nothing was bad, just not something that really stood out enough to make me want to go out of my way to come back. I'm glad I tried it and can appreciate the quality and recognition, but it's probably more of a one-time experience for me rather than a repeat spot.

Kazan Beverly Hills is a Michelin Bib Gourmand recognized place featuring fresh ramen noodles made from-scratch every day. The chef is passionate about quality. Good luck with street parking - it can be tough finding an open spot. For the food: The Signature #1 is delicious! Every component has meticulous attention to detail. The thin ramen noodles is perfectly al dente. The broth is clear and flavorful. The homemade wontons and chashu are tender and juicy. There was a $10 ramen promo and I knew I had to head over and try their ramen. It was definitely worth the promo, but $34 is a bit steep even for a premium bowl of ramen.

Wonderful Al fresco experience at Michelin starred restaurant. Visiting during restaurant week in LA with friends. The participating restaurants feature their dishes in a cohesive menu. Welcoming attentive service from all the staff. Quaint interior with low top seating. Sake was one of my favorites. Served nice and chilled just perfect. The noodles are so deliciously fresh and perfectly thin it's a must try. The Tsukemen Ise was a touch too salty for me but noodles helped to balance it out. The saucy gravy was unctuous in flavor, reminding me of an elevated beef stroganoff with a Demi glacé depth and velvety noodles. The combination of flavors are delectable. Street parking available at 6pm. There's a small valet parking lot right next to the restaurant for $15 open for Kazan and surrounding restaurants. Make sure to check the closing time.

My husband and I were craving some ramen in this rainy weather and happened to be in the LA area, so we finally got to check this place out. We were seated right away after walking in. We ended up getting the chashu supreme, lei ramen, and pork chashu rice. After trying everything out, my favorite was the chashu supreme--it had the truffle flavor which definitely made it very unique. The pork chashu rice was also a hit, very flavorful! As for the lei ramen--it had a hint of spice and is very rich. I did love the thin noodles they use! The ramen prices were bit on the pricey side since they are located in Beverly Hills and have been rated Michelin from 2021-2024. Would recommend if you feel like splurging a little for dinner and are willing to try something new.

Stopped by Wednesday for lunch to take advantage of owner's special. Ordered the Sake Crispy Wings as an appetizer. They were very crispy on the outside, hot, and tender inside with a small side of carrot salad. Very flavorful. The #4 Soy Based Soba with Quarter Leg of Roasted Chicken. Lots of flavor in the broth and the chicken was tender. Limited metered street parking. #SumoApproved

    Chashu ramen
    alexandra k.

I stoppex in for lunch and ordered the chashu ramen. The noodles are perfectly cooked, the egg with a deliciously warm soft center, and the broth fragrant with the truffle. The chashu is tender and falls apart with some gentle encragement. The broth has a mild heat (that you can avoid by avoiding the rare circles of cut red peppers floating in the broth). Everything is made in house. The broth was a tad on the oily side. And the prices are steep. My total ended up being $50 (including tip) for my bowl of ramen. Of note, they do add on an "appreciation" to the bill.

Just wrapped up an impromptu dinner here. My son and I were in the area. It was rush hour and we decided to have dinner while traffic died out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their noodle station is cool and the vibes are casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their ramen/food is definitely worth trying out. We tried the #9 and the chicken wings both of which were flavorful. I'm knocking 2 stars off because I'm dealing with a very disappointed 6 yr old. I ordered an extra order of their wings ToGo because my son really enjoyed the carrot slaw it comes with. But to my surprise when I got home it came with no carrot salad. I had even mentioned to the waitress how excited my son was to eat the carrot slaw for his lunch at school. Don't understand why she didn't let me know they don't add the salad for ToGo orders. If you dine in you're in for a delicious experience. If you do take out I would suggest you call and confirm everything that is pictured and usually comes with "in person dining" is provided.

I was afraid that everything was going to be extremely heavy, like French cuisine can be with all the cheese and butter. But I ordered the Combo of the Lemon Butter Chicken Ramen and a side of the Miso Teri Bowl (in case the ramen would be too much for me), and I was blown away by both dishes. The Lemon Butter is NOT heavy at all. It felt light and savory, but had a depth of flavor that's hard to identify because this is a dish I have never had anywhere else before. I can see why it's the most popular item on the menu. I took the side of Miso Teri Bowl home for dinner as the ramen was filling enough. No debate, no hesitation. Just ramen. I had tried this spot at another location before and remembered liking it, so it felt like a safe, comforting choice for a long overdue catch-up. We got there at that in-between hour... not quite lunch, not quite dinner. The kind of time where the restaurant feels like it's just exhaling. It was completely empty except for us, which honestly made everything feel a little more intimate--like the space was ours for the afternoon. We sat down and immediately slipped into conversation, picking up right where we left off after graduation. Life updates, little wins, quiet struggles... the kind of conversation that only comes easy with people who've known you for years. And in between all that, our mouths were busy. The ramen came out hot, comforting, and exactly what we needed. Rich broth, satisfying noodles--one of those meals where you don't even realize how hungry you were until you take the first bite. We kept pausing mid-sentence just to take another bite, then laughing because we couldn't decide what deserved more attention: the food or the conversation. Service was really attentive without being intrusive. They somehow knew when to check in and when to let us just exist in our little bubble. The music was soft, not overpowering, so we never had to raise our voices or repeat ourselves--something I appreciate more and more these days. We stayed longer than we probably planned, but it didn't feel rushed at all. Just two old friends, warm bowls of ramen, and a space that let us slow down for a bit.
