Enjoyed lunch with a party of 5 and the wait was about an hour. The ambiance is casual but the service was attentive and quick. Our sever was able to make recommendations since it was our first time. Overall the food was good would like to come back and try something different.

We arrived starving, with high expectations based on the restaurant's reputation as a California chain and the recent reviews on yelp. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be a bit disappointing. I loved the animated dumpling decor and the clean, well-organized space. The restaurant was quite busy during lunch, and we were assisted by our waiter, who was exceptionally kind and attentive. He gave us thoughtful menu recommendations, took the time to explain the dishes, and checked on us frequently. His service was a solid 10/10. The staff, in general, were all kind. We ordered some of the most recommended items, including the stewed Angus beef noodles, blue crab & pork soup dumplings, chili sliced beef & tripe, pork ears & bean curd, and wood ear mushrooms. However, neither my cousin nor I found the dishes to our taste. The Angus beef noodles and wood ear mushrooms were bland. The beef itself was tender and well-seasoned, but the broth lacked flavor, leaving me wondering if the beef was cooked separately from the broth. The blue crab & pork soup dumplings and the chili sliced tripe were too sweet for my taste. For the blue crab dumplings, I added extra vinegar and soy sauce to balance the sweetness out. The chili sliced tripe was so overwhelmingly sweet that we had to send it back. Lastly, the pork ears & bean curd were much too salty for us. I think if we ordered white rice, it would have been better. One thing I noticed while observing other tables was that not many people seemed to have ordered what we did. There were a lot of green beans, piggly milk buns, and cheese crab puffs, which makes me wonder if we simply ordered the wrong dishes. I would like to revisit later on in the future and maybe see if there are some changes to the menu and taste.

This place is great! Very similar in dishes as Din Tai Fung but at better prices. It's one of very few soup dumpling spots in town so it has a long wait. We waited for over an hour but luckily we had a lot to catch up on. They also play music videos and tv shows around the room. I noticed an episode of Pokemon and even Sailor Moon! This place has a great menu selection! We ordered all the soup dumplings possible and a few other crowd pleasers: spicy wontons, garlic green beans and the black lava buns. Spicy wontons only came with 4 since it was on the app menu. It came out within 5 mins of ordering. It came in a deep bowl of sauce, that we could drink, it was so good! Not too spicy. We saved it to use as chili oil with our dumplings later. The garlicky green beans were so addicting! It was great to have a vegetable with all the rich flavors. Though it can be salty with all the sauces. I didn't take a picture of my Lychee green tea with crystal pearls, but it was great. Just like ordering from a boba shop! Once seated our food came out quickly. Our spicy dumpling app came out within 5 mins of ordering. Everything else came in the next 10. All the food was delicious and flavorful. The green beans are addicting. The soup dumplings are nice and plump and come with the authentic dressings like vinegar and pickled ginger. I like the crab one the least, because the crab flavor is minimal. It's basically like eating the pork one, but just slightly more expensive. (Not as much of an up-charge as DTF) The Yuzu chicken soup dumpling was our favorite because the yuzu citrus added a brightness that cut the fatty richness of the pork dumplings. All great to try though! For "dessert" we ordered the black lava buns which has a melty salted egg custard. I love the flavor of salted egg and there was some sweetness from the bun. It came out piping hot and was so satisfying! We were so full though and could only eat one each. But i'd get this over the sweet pig ones! Our server Vanessa was great, you could tell she enjoys working there. We were so full by the end of it and wanted to try more. So we'll be back!

Absolutely amazing spot! We went a little crazy but it was all worth it. It was a rainy day so their soup dumplings were perfect. The stewed pork belly was also good, and the meat was very tender. We also enjoyed their pan fried dumplings and shumai. We also did their blind box boba and our daughter loved their little capybara surprise toy. We capped our meal with the incredible Mango Bingsu. Everything we had was great and had large servings. It was also very busy when we went but all our items got served very quickly, and they were very accommodating towards our kids. It felt so cozy and warm to contrast the rainy weather outside. Additionally, the convenience of being able to join the waitlist via Yelp! was a great bonus. We're definitely coming back and maybe trying out their fun drinks next time!

Now, there is a reason why the rating for my review is so low. I have accumulated multiple factors as to why, so we can start off with the parking. The parking is sparse, you are fighting with the sister restaurant next door on parking which is next to known on certain days. Next, the waiter we had was really rude, it was blatant they were having a bad day, which we all have but please do not take it out on your customers. Genuine questions about the menu made us receive looks as to if we didn't know the menu...which we did not. After ordering, the food came out at a moderate pace, I know some items take longer than the other due to the cooking process, which we can agree, but there was a singular plate in particular that took 30mins, which was steamed buns, now I do not know if that particularly takes that long in general. Next, some of the foods proteins smelled funny, almost as a dirty sink/towel, you can tell either the chicken was left in a certain area and had bacteria or something, it was pungent. We were all really hungry at the time and with how everything occurred, we just put the meat to the side and ate the veggies/noodles. The price of everything didn't help after I got the receipt (mind you it was only 4 of us). This is a sad opportunity to have tried something I was really looking forward to. Hope to have the courage to come back again.

No waiting, seated quickly by a very kawaii hostess. Our waiter Z was very pleasant and helpful, really appreciated him asking if anyone had any allergies. The look and feel was very Chinese Mod with TVs playing Anime and Cuisine Core. The savory selections of the Black and Gold Lava Buns and the Cabbage Mushroom Pork dumplings were unique in flavor and super tasty. Always wanted to try the BBQ Chinese Sausage with both sweet and spicy flavors on a convenient stick. On the sweeter side, the Bunny Milk Buns, Panda Oreo Black Tea with Boba (with cute panda mellow) and the Blind Box Very Strawberry Cheese with Strawberry Popping Pearl were not to sweet, and very enjoyable.

Almost a Din Tai Fung dupe! Great to have a decent dumpling joint here in SA. Let me preface that I can't help but compare it to DTF so here is my honest feedback on the food we ordered: Soup dumplings were 10/10, pan fried pork and shrimp dumplings were 6/10, scallion pancakes were a bit too thin 6/10, but green beans were 10/10! Mango bingsu a little too much condensed milk but good 8/10....sorry, I may be a bit particular but I can confidently say I would go back. Wait was about 45 min on a Friday night but service at the bar was awesome - I think like 4 or 5 people can sit there. Food came out fairly fast and overall pretty good prices. We had a great time eating and drinking our soju and sake at the bar.

The soup dumplings were the star of our meal, for sure. The menu is pretty large, so it's easy to order a few things and share. The restaurant itself is clean, bright, and spacious, and I like that the tables are stocked with soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, and pepper so you can mix your own dipping sauces. Service was a little slow during our visit, though it seemed like they were pretty busy at the time. Not everything we tried was quite as strong as the dumplings, which is why I'm landing at 4 stars instead of 5. Still, it was a really solid meal and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

We came here on a Thursday for lunch. It wasn't too busy and we were sat right away. They did get a big lunch rush while we were there. The restaurant was well themed and there were a lot of TVs playing Chinese shows and Pokémon. The restaurant is in a small shopping center with a small parking lot We started with pork egg rolls, scallion pancakes, and soup dumplings. I got the Szechuan chicken and my wife got the vegetable Lo mein. The food all came out hot and fast. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge

I was craving soup dumplings and have heard about this place so decided to come and try them here. The service was good. We were checked on and our waiter was very pleasant. The pork soup dumplings had good flavor, but several of them did not have soup in them, which was pretty underwhelming. If I am coming somewhere for soup dumplings, I would like each one to be filled with broth. The sour and spicy dumplings were good and I'd order them again. The restaurant was clean and the tables are huge and spacious. All in all, I'd come back here to give them another shot and try other items on their menu. Hopefully I can come back with an updated 5 star review in the future!

I first learned of this restaurant from a friend's post on social media. We are both from CA and now live in TX. If you know the history of this place you know they have locations in several states but originated in CA. My friend moved here from Monrovia, CA where a luscious dumplings restaurant was established in 2012. That is where and how my friend first heard of it. Once she learned they had expanded to TX, she went and shared her experience. Luscious dumplings has been operating since 2001 which is quite impressive. It's a family owned business and clearly their success and expansion is mainly due to the quality of their food! In 2021 they received a Michelin bib gourmand recognition and I now understand why! In addition to their delicious food, the service is prompt and excellent as well. They have a pretty expansive menu and one can get lost or overwhelmed trying to decide what to order, if it's your first time. That's how it felt for us, however, we were overcome by more excitement than overwhelm. My husband just started ordering what seemed like the entire menu (lol). We started with the baby bok choy, edamame, and the spicy wonton in chili oil, and stir fry beef ho fun (noodles). We then just went ahead and placed our entire order since the waitress informed us the dim-sum/dumplings take a little longer. My absolute favorite was the spicy wonton in chili oil (appetizer) and the chicken soup dumpling! Our dumpling order consisted of the blue crab pork dumplings, the shrimp dumplings, and pork and shrimp dumplings. It seemed like so much food and it was but we were also hungry and ate pretty much everything! Pricing is also very reasonable for the portions and quality you get. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious and they have tables and booths, all indoor seating and 2 picnic style benches outside. I ended up ordering a drink towards the end because my toddler got antsy and Jasmin who was our server suggested a boba that comes with a toy In the cup!! The bottom portion of the cup has a little cutout box to retrieve toy! So cool! I was more excited than my toddler lol!! Worth every penny! Haha Obviously, the dumplings are the star of the menu! However, everything else we ordered besides the dumplings was absolutely delicious as well. They seriously have such a big menu! From noodles, to rice bowls, chef's specials, desserts, kids menu options and so many boba drinks and signature cocktails! They truly do have it ALL! I know for a fact we will be repeat customers and I can't wait to try something different every time we visit!

Our first time here and it was fantastic. The place is pretty big lots of seating and the decoration and vibe felt modern and cute....almost like an anime. The service was exceptional, our waitress Jasmine was very kind, patient, informative, and made our dinner fun for our 1 year old daughter. The food was delicious and I was really impressed with the authenticity and quality of the dumplings. The baby bok choy was one of my favorite, it was flavored really well. After such a great dinner and I mean we ordered a lot when the check came it was surprisingly well priced. I expected the bill to be bigger but it was very reasonable. I definitely want to come back and try other things on the menu.

    Mango Bingsu

The restaurant was nice and clean. We were greeted with smiles and the customer service was top notch. The food was good but the mango bingsu was the real winner for me. I would come back for just the dessert!

I would definitely recommend ordering this with rice, or taking it home and making your own. The dumplings and spring rolls were crispy, but nothing special. I did like the duck sauce they had -- I would have asked my server for more of it, but she was busy in the back or something, not sure. The restaurant was busy since it was lunch. We were seated right away. However it took the waitress a few before knowledge our small table. The waitress was in a hurry and look like she already had a bad day. She asked quickly what we would like the drink and we said water and hot tea but ask what type of tea they have? She mumble something I could not understand. So my daughter ask for green tea. We started off with appetizer as usual. Shrimp toast, chicken wrap, Asian bbq ribs then a cup of hot & sour soup. Main dish were Moo Shu Pork and Mongolian beef. Soup came out first...it was lukewarm. Cup was hot but soup was lukewarm. It was vinegary and salty. This is the first time I had seen/tasted imitation crab meat in a hot and sour soup. I'd flag the waitress down to let her know the soup was cold and if she can bring me another or warm it up for me. She gave me an annoying look and took the soup back to the kitchen. The Asian bbq ribs come out then the shrimp toast a few minutes later. The shrimp toast looks appealing. The shrimp were whole shrimp on top of bread, fried bread. It was ok...no real taste and a bit greasy. There were too much honey and chewy/tough for the Asian ribs. My soup comes back hot to touch... which means it was microwave...but not an issues; what was is ...it was still lukewarm soup. I try to finish it but couldn't. Soup needs to be hot; especially hot & sour soup. The chicken lettuce wrap was delivered. It was again salty; no real taste, except for the salt. A lot of mushrooms over powering the this dish. Keep in mind we had a small table and dishes are pilling up. It took a few before anyone came to pickup the plates. Half way through our appetizer, the waitress dropped off Togo boxes with a bag right after the chicken wrap was dropped off.... Staying it's for later. So we went ahead and packup the appetizers into the Togo boxes to make room. The main dishes came out about 10 minutes later. My daughter was very surprised by her Mongolian beef. It looks more like pepper steak then Mongolian beef. Most Mongolian beef are cook with green onions, yellow onion, garlic, sesame seeds and large slices of beef...some with a little sauce other dry so this is a the first for us to see a Mongolian beef looks like that. It was again too salty. There was more bell pepper than beef. The beef was slice small. The moo shu pork come out already wrap?? Which confuse me. Most of the time the thin rice pancake is on the side and moo shu pork is a little sweet and savory that comes with plum sauce so you can spread as little or lot of plum sauce into the rice pancake then top it off with moo shu pork. Since it was all roll up...it was very messy trying to pull it open to put the plum sauce. The dish lack favors...it had a char like taste. Usually moo shu pork is very flavorful and fill with flavorful juice from the ingredients like cabbages, bamboo, onion, mushrooms and eggs. There was no favor except a char taste. I have eaten here before a long time ago and it's definitely not the same taste/food and experience. We pack the food home so we can get a second opinion from other family members and the results were the same. I would never recommend for anyone looking for Asian cuisine. But if you like America/Asian cuisine/atmosphere then this is a place for you.
