So running through TikTok I came across a place down the road. I've passed it a million times. Where do I begin? What a gem! This is as sichuan as it gets. This is the real deal Holyfield. First. The menu is literally a book. With photos. Amazing. My waitress was very knowledgeable about the dishes and what to expect. She recommended some of the more popular things. I had the garlic cucumbers and they were as stated. Also had two very authentic dishes. A tofu dish and the dry pepper chicken. Wow. I'm gonna warn you. The food is spicy out the box but they can tone it down. The place is spotless and neat. I can't say enough except. I'll be back.

I have been seeing ads that Pings opened a second location and was sad I couldn't make the grand opening. That being said I went for lunch and had to try the boiled beef and wow, medium spice so flavorful it was full of chunks of soft beef and cabbage. Huge portion, I ate at the restaurant and the rest at home. Can't wait to visit again to try more dishes!

Excellent authentic sichuan cuisine. Delightful yoga as an appetizer. Hubby went with spicy shredded pork which was outstanding. I ordered a lamb dish that rocked. This place is clean and fresh. Plenty of parking out front. Efficient staff.

Food was good. Service was quick. Pleasant environment. Open everyday. Parking lot in front available. If you don't like spicy, just ask them to make it not spicy. If you like spicy, this is a great place to enjoy spicy foods. Good portions. Will be back!

I was sad to hear Dashi closed and needed a Szechuan food fix. So we tried Pings. it's nice and bright inside. Very nice staff. We started with hot and sour soup. I wish they offered cup size soup like other places. It was flavorful, but I really miss the pork others put in their soup. The dried fried green beans are very good and on par with Dashi. I enjoyed the shredded sweet garlic pork. A little spice and a lot of flavor. My wife enjoyed the walnut shrimp. Next time we will try out the memory game at the table.

Ambiance is spot on- love a theme resturants with music of their culture. Big plus! Food is hot, FRESH and Spicy. Rice needs a little more flavor. Over all very good. Service was fast, and pleasant. Cozy spot, for playing games, And a quick bite for lunch. No lunch specials.

This is our new favorite Asian restaurant! We split our meal and had this leftover so servings are hearty! This is Kung Pao Chicken and it was the best I've had. The restaurant is bright and chic and has a great vibe! The service was exceptional as the owner came by and chatted with us. Our food was served shortly after we ordered! Yummy!

Stopped by for lunch with my mom recently. Having visited Sichuan House and Sichuan Garden on multiple occasions, it was refreshing to get someone else's take on Sichuan cuisine in San Antonio. We were greeted promptly as we entered and did not have to wait to be seated. The dining area doesn't appear to be big, but there were plenty of tables. After taking our drink orders we started looking over the menu. It was pretty comparable to the other restaurants I mentioned earlier. We decided on the spicy cumin lamb, walnut shrimp, green beans, and egg rolls. We did not have to wait too long for our food to arrive at our table. All the dishes were excellent and on par with what I have had before at other Sichuan restaurants. If I lived in this area, I would likely visit on a regular basis. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

So nice having this yummy spot near by.... The pork pot stickers made an excellent app. My daughter got the spicy boiled chicken . This was really good. My husband ordered the classical Dong Po Pork. This is a good dish, however it was too sweet for us and wanted a little more spice. I ordered the Shredded pork with buns. I loved it. Great flavor. We all really enjoyed the combo fried rice...

Ping's on Evans was fantastic from start to finish. The service was warm and attentive, and it was a really nice touch that the owner came by our table to say hello. The Sichuan flavors were spot on--bold and aromatic without being too salty, and just the right amount of numbing spice. It was such a treat to get high-quality Sichuan cooking without having to drive across town. Every dish we tried was excellent, especially the cumin lamb, the eggplant, and the string beans. We'll absolutely be back.

Great food and authentic meal! The service was attentive and friendly. They have a great, vibrant and varied menu of spicy and non spicy dishes. Since it's Sichuan food, I recommend trying the spicy dishes. Everything was well-made and fresh. Would love to come back and try more!

If I could give Ping's 100 stars, I absolutely would! I don't live in the area, but I happened to be nearby today and decided to stop in based on the great reviews--and I'm so glad I did. From start to finish, the experience was amazing. The atmosphere is modern, welcoming, and genuinely the cleanest restaurant I've ever been in even the restrooms were spotless. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, which made the visit even better. After looking over the menu, we asked our waitress for recommendations based on a few items we were considering. We started with the pork potstickers, and they were perfectly pan-fried, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For our entrees, we ordered the Kung Pao chicken and Mongolian chicken, and WOW both dishes were packed with flavor. Everything came out hot and fresh, and we loved that we could choose our spice level. I ordered level 1, which I personally enjoyed, but if you're sensitive to spice, it may even be a little too much for you! While both dishes were fantastic, our favorite was definitely the Mongolian chicken. It was incredibly flavorful, and the sautéed onions, bell peppers, and garlic added the perfect crunch. The portion sizes were generous, with plenty of meat, and both dishes came with a side of white rice. In total, for two drinks, an appetizer, and two entrees, our bill came out to $48 which felt very reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. Even though I don't live nearby, I will absolutely be making the drive to come back. It is 100% worth it!

Oh my gosh, it was absolutely superb! *Chef's Kiss* We were the first people to arrive, which could have been a bummer, but it turned out to be a great experience. Our server was super patient with us since it was our first time there. She gave us some helpful tips and explained the menu items. She even answered all our questions! We started with the Famous Green Beans, the Garlicky Cold "Noods," and some chicken crispy dumplings. I'm not usually a green bean guy, but these were surprisingly good. The chicken crispy dumplings were a really cool twist on gyozas. And the cold garlicky "noods"! I could've had those all by myself and been happy. They were such a great way to start the meal. Most of the entrees are shareable family-style, so the portions are easy for two or more people. As we waited for our entree, I decided to try the Dashi Cooler for a cocktail. It was mellow, refreshing, and a bit tart, but it was a well-crafted drink. I also ordered another cocktail, but I'll tell you more about it later. Our entree of the Love Me or Hate Me Spicy Lamb Cumin arrived with a side of steamed rice. This is definitely a shareable dish. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. The veggies that came with it were seasoned and cooked just right to give them a nice crunch. As we were working this table full of food, I decided to try another cocktail from their specialty menu. I chose the Purple Moon, which is their version of a French 75 with Ube to give it a purple color. It was done really well. I'd definitely order it again on my next visit. According to their menu, happy hour is every day from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Overall, we were so impressed with our visit to Dashi that we were talking about having a birthday dinner there that's not for another few months. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu and cocktails. They're definitely a place I'll be visiting again!

I am only saying it was sent on my end, but maybe it did not go through. As for their comments regarding third party application price markup, I can fiercely vouch that I did not pay more than $4 more and that $4 did not affect my review either way (1.5 green beans, 2.5 two lo Mein, egg drop soup 8 oz. Size not available online menu) The business owners can view the picture of the receipt I included and tell me otherwise if those were not correct prices. There were no delivery fees that I accounted for in my review because I was using Uber 1 and they were nominal. In fact, there was an Uber Eats BOGO Lo Mein coupon used that I am pretty confident is not available in person. So ordering directly would have been much more expensive, without the BOGO Offer, and with either in person table service tipping or delivery from them. I stand by my review. Pricing would have actually been even less appealing without the BOGO coupon which came from a third party. I do not wish to be a "hater". I genuinely did like the food. I complimented the quality. That isn't the issue. It is mostly the pricing and the onions haha. If I ever get the chance to dine here in person, I look forward to updating my rating!

I used Doordash, which I usually have pretty good luck with, especially when my son orders it through his own account. After waiting more than twenty minutes after the delivery time, I got a text from the dasher telling me to cancel the order. My son had already told me about that scam. You go into the app and get the support folks to cancel it, or it is called "customer initiated" and you lose your refund. Anyway, Doordash had the order redone and delivered with a new driver. Let's get to Sichuan Garden. I ordered from here because they had some "non- standard" offerings. I lived in Taiwan a while back and upon return to the US never acquired a taste for the supposedly authentic Americanized dishes. I ordered stir fried pork tripe and pork intestines in spicy chili sauce. I got a complimentary side of fried rice with each of them. I also ordered beef lomein for my son and 4 eggrolls. I tasted the lomein, and it was just okay. I have definitely had better. The egg rolls were "delivery soggy" but tasted fantastic. Can't complain there. The trip and intestine dishes were both delicious. I could eat them every day for the rest of my life and be satisfied. The fried rice, though, was awful. I used it the next day to make a much more improved version at home. All in all, I like the food from Sichuan Garden. I am anxious to go there and dine in. There are some other "non-standard" items I want to try.

A few years ago it was Pho. So, I do have a favorite, but I still need to try new places. Well, I am, & this place is pretty phenomenal. The inside is so sweet & simple. You feel real comfortable & peaceful being in there I found them just by driving through the parking lot looking for Holy Pops for a Yelp Elite event. I wanted to try them out, & I'm so happy I did. They exceed my expectations. I walked in & was greeted by one of the waitresses, I let her know it would be a to go order, but I've never been there. She explained how things could be ordered. Steamed vs fried, for example. I regret not snapping photos of the menu, but they have one online. For that matter my food was consumed before a single photo was taken. (That's how you know it's good! At least with me! ) I went with an order of pan fried dumplings, an order of pan fried pork bao, & one order steamed pork bao. Do not be in a rush when you come. Everything is made fresh. You want it to be. Oh my goodness. These bao are amazing. The dough is the perfect thickness, IMO. The meatball inside though mine were a little larger than a golf ball. Juicy, flavorful & couldn't get enough. Made me want a dozen!. Just don't have the stomach to eat that many. Means I'll have to make more trips. The dumplings, pan fried - were so delicious. Again, piping hot! I'd say the little meatball was about half the size of the bao one. I ordered the shrimp, pork & lamb dumplings (I think. ) They had shrimp in them though. And they were amazing Okay, so me saying all my food was piping hot - here's the thing - this place is on Stone Oak, I live in the Brooks City Base area, it was still piping hot when I got home. Y'all know the traffic in this city right now! Don't waste anymore time. Go check them out. Wanna know about the staff? I'll continue! So, my order took about 25 minutes. Okay I ordered a lot, the place was full also, & again everything is made fresh. Oh! Also, you can watch them make it all. The two waitresses & the waiter checked on me often, - (when I came in. I sit in my car most of the time & inform them. Then, I just come sit down.) They apologized & I explained I make this food, I understand & am happy to wait, just means it'll be good. Both broths were rich and delicious, and I also really liked that you can choose your noodle thickness, with options like thin, medium, or thick. Neither soup was spicy, and I do wish there were an option to choose a spice level, but that definitely didn't take away from how good the food was. Service was good, and the restaurant itself is pretty small, so I probably wouldn't recommend it for a really large group. My only real complaint was that it felt pretty warm inside, especially when eating a hot bowl of noodle soup. Turning the temperature down a bit would make the experience even better. The restaurant lighting was dimmed and gave a more intimate /bar environment. I think the ac was broken here because it was very warm and they had fans going on around the room. I think this place would be good for someone who is prefers an American fusion cuisine that leans heavily on the western style dishes. The fusion elements were cute but I still left unsatisfied but still full. We did not park. We walked here right from the river walk. Not a bad place to go if you arrive in town after 9 pm.
