I recently paid $74/$78 for a pedicure at Lush Garden. When the attendant (Semi?), put orange liquid wrapped in plastic on my heels, I told her my feet were burning. She immediately took my feet out of the plastic bag that was filled with the orange liquid and wiped it down with cotton. That night my feet were really hurting and when I lifted my legs the bottom and sides of my feet were all cut up. The pain got worse over the next couple of days. I am a diabetic and went to my doctor who wrote me a prescription and told me not to go in the water, which was going to ruin my vacation. I then returned to the salon and told the attendant what happened, showed her the medication and pictures that I had taken of my red, cut, swollen feet. She called and spoke to the the owner (Hon?) in a foreign language. And when hung up told me he was busy, that he would call me later. I left my name and number on two pieces of paper and have never recieved a return phone call. read more

Everyone at this salon is so kind. This is like my third time here and I am super pleased :) they have been accommodating me as I am on crutches with a broken foot. Lots of space, not cramped like most nyc salons, very clean and consistent. They have a nice selection as well. Came in recently with the GF as we wanted to give this relatively new spot a try, both of us got the upgraded "Day spa pedicure package" plus manicures. We both felt our pedicures/manicures were subpar. It felt rushed and lacking effort. Our massages were without exaggeration, just a light rubbing of our feet/legs. The Hot stones were lukewarm after "heating" up under the tap set to hot for 30 seconds. My cuticles were bleeding and raw after the manicure as my tech clipped away without caution. Our heels were still rough and flaky after the pedicure, we specifically paid for the pedicure with extra treatments/service to address this issue, but our techs hurriedly rushed through the service. Perhaps we came on an off day, but I don't think we will be coming back The facilities felt new and spacious however. Overall, experience could have been much better read more

My wife and I came here for a pedicure, wow AMAZING SERVICE. They are brand new, very clean and super friendly here, we were offered a refreshing cumber tea and chips. The pedicures were amazing!!!!!!!! Left our feet SUPER SOFT!!!! My wife got gel and Parifin on her feet. When I tell you we walked out with baby soft feet and super relaxed I am NOT kidding!!! And the massage that came along with the Spa Pedicure almost put me to sleep it was so good. Conclusion don't walk walk, but RUN to Lash Garden Spa they are awesome here and worth waking into. This will now be our go to pedicure place. Sorry can't speak for the manicures as we didn't get those but pedicures here are to die for. I visited the shop 2x. Both times I was please with my nails. I had my nails done by Linda and Nicole. Nicole is more precise with her skill. Linda is good as well. The nail salon is new and spacious. I would say there is too much wasted space. They could use more drying stations. It's very clean. Many manicure and pedicure stations but only 5 staff. My nail technician was very unfriendly and didn't greet me or speak to me. Also all the other customers were asked if it was there first time there and given some sort of small gift. Nothing was said to me. I did like the warm lotion plastic gloves and sterilized utensils. There are many gel colors if you are looking for that service. Prices are in line with other nail salons. I feel bad writing this review because I have been here 5 times and didn't have a problem until this past week. The manicure I got on my 5th try was even a replacement for the previous manicure which was actually the best gel manicure I have ever gotten. I had it for an entire 2 months and it hadn't chipped once. I only got a replacement because at that point my nail had grown out half way down the nail and I was going on vacation and I wanted a fresh set at that point. I wasn't going to write a review, however, all of my nails are breaking now unnecessarily. It had never crossed my mind in my entire life that removals could be painful. She was so harsh with the drill that at times I had to pull my hand back because of how much it hurt. I have gotten gel nail removals before, and this was such a strange experience. Each time I pulled my hand out of hers she just stared at me like I was the one with the problem and I felt like she was getting annoyed. It surprised me that she didn't even offer an apology once because I literally was wincing in pain at how hard she was pushing the drill against the nail bed. I knew this wasn't necessary when another tech removed my toe gels without me experiencing any pain. I had previously purchased a Groupon for a regular mani pedi before going this time because I only wanted a regular manicure to give my nails a break before the next gel set. Between removal and actual painting of my nails, I was asked about 4 times to upgrade to gel mani/pedi which I did not appreciate. I had already prepaid with the deal on the app, and I was already paying an extra $10 because they charged $5 for removal on both hands and feet. I mentioned previously that my nails were grown out half way down the entire nail because I had not gotten them done for 2 months after my last gel manicure. I know that removal weakens the nails a bit, but my nails were extremely healthy. The nail drill was used to "even out" my nail beds, but they're simply not even, including the part that didn't really need as much harsh drilling into the bed (new grown out nail) if you look closely, my nails beds are so uneven that the nail beds are crater-like. Which makes so sense to considering how much they drilled overall! I had chosen a light pink color for the manicure but they were rushing when doing it and only did two coats, which might be standard but the coats where placed unevenly (second coat wasn't placed where the first coat started) and they are pretty see through overall because they really needed the third coat because of how light a color it is. This, combined with the bad drilling has made my nails not only look terrible, but extremely weak and all my nails are breaking now. The breakage I would have expected because I understand that nails are weak after gel manicures, but I'm going to have to grow out my entire nail until my nails are strong again after I had made so much progress in the two months I hadn't gotten anything done, which is so disappointing. This might be me being nit picky, but I had taken a $20 bill with me for the purpose of breaking for tip, which should have been more than enough for a simple manicure and after I had prepaid via Groupon. I gave them the $20 while my nails were getting painting to pay $10 for the removal. I didn't like how they gave me back a $10 bill, and then asked if that was for tip. It seemed kind of shady to have done it like that. At that point I was so over it that I just said yes, though it was seriously overtipping on a very bad nail job. I'll likely return to give them another chance as I said before that I have been 5 times and this was my first bad experience. Honestly it's possible they just don't like customers getting inexpensive services and they put less effort into those to make you feel bad about not paying more (this was the only time I went for an 'inexpensive' nail job) One more thing - I am glad the days are getting better as when you enter the smell of chemicals is very strong when you enter. I feel bad for the workers having to ingest that all day but also as a customer it's a bit off putting. During the warmer days they open the door but I don't like how there isn't any ventilation. read more

I won't be coming back. My SNS powder manicure came out thick and lumpy, I've never had sns look like this. When I went back to remove the sns, the same nail tech Ken, was so rough on my nails and shaved down so much of my natural nails that I felt strong nerve pain during and for days after. My nails look awful and are so weak and brittle now. I can still see where the scuff marks are along with lines with traces of blood from the buffing. read more

Drove past early last week and noticed the Grand Opening sign while approaching the traffic light. The interior was noticeably bright and clean even driving past so I said I'd give this spot a try for myself and my mom. Checked the Yelp reviews, made the appointment and it didn't disappoint or deviate from the reviews. We were greeted upon entry and directed to select our colors. They've got a large selection of regular polish (including OPI brand) as well as a HUGE selection of SNS with matching polish and other types of polish. We did have to wait a bit because another mother/daughter duo walked in before us (though I don't believe they had an appointment). Everything is new here so I decided I wanted to try the massage chairs while the pedicure was being done. Usually other salon chairs end up causing my back to hurt after the process. But not this one. We were provided iced tea and water during our service. I don't know if it was a powdered drink mix or not. But it was perfect...not too sweet and not too bland. We were coincidentally serviced by a mother/daughter set (Linda/Yuki) who were polite, efficient and did a great job on my SNS/pedi and my mom's mani/pedi. We usually go to a spot in Little Neck, but Lush Garden has got us hooked! My mom was already raving over the service and beautiful location and stated multiple times, "we aren't going back to Little Neck"! Since they're still in they're grand opening phase, they're giving away little trinkets. The price was a little higher (about $12 or so) than what I'm used to. But the little things like complimentary beverages, chips, candies and end of service back massage, offset the pricing. It's definitely worth it and we will definitely be back!! read more

They take their time with my SNS and pedicure and I enjoy it so much. This place is clean and spacious with a lot of seatings, so I don't have to rub shoulders with other customers. They have quite a bit of color selection, probably more than a thousand gel choices and more than 500 powder choices so I'm never going to run out of options. I was really quite fond of this place when it opened. In the last couple of months prices have skyrocketed and the service has gone down. This is my third time walking in for a manicure and was told that they cannot accommodate me. The first time was on a Monday afternoon around 2 o'clock. Second time what is a Thursday around 3:00. And today, Sunday 3 o'clock my last straw, they didn't have enough workers. After sitting there for five minutes, they were were unable to get my nails done today.... Generally a great place but I'm writing this review in regards to the tech Nicole. I've been there about 4 times and every time, I have the MISFORTUNE of having her as my tech. She is extremely abrasive and rough. When I ask her to please not touch/clip/file/whatever a sensitive area of my nails (I bite them so they're sensitive and sore sometimes) she doesn't listen and will just continue to dig in, causing me pain and discomfort. She tries to twist my fingers in attempting to angle them for her POV where SHE should be moving accordingly, not my fucking fingers. She always saying "relax relax" as if I'm flexing my fingers but I literally am not moving anything?? She strikes me as pretty unhinged and I literally asked what days she's not there as to avoid her completely (Mondays) but I think I'll just find another salon because even the sight of her pisses me off. I've gotten my nails done here about 4 or 5 times since they opened up around late summer this year. I have been getting my nails done by the nail tech name Nicole. I thought she was pretty decent, but not exactly the best, or nothing out of the ordinary that I can get from another other nail solan. But this past weekend, I went in and had the worst experience. I decided to come this past weekend to get an acrylic filling with a pedicure. I intended to get a regular pedicure, but I decided to get the spa pedicure for $39 when I was there. Nicole, the nail tech, did my fillings and then did my pedicure after I said I'd do the spa pedicure. During the process, she said she'll give me a massage, a massage she offered that I did not ask for myself. The so call massage was just her rubbing some lotion on my feet; it didn't even feel like anything, it was just her rubbing lotion on my feet. She kept asking me if the massage was good, but I could barely feel anything. It was a very weak massage. After drying my pedicure, I went to the front desk to pay. Previously I have calculated how much I had to pay, which was going to be $97, for the filling with gel abc chrome and spa pedicure. When I went to the front desk guy to pay, they said I owed $120, and I asked why is that, and he went to tell me I had gotten a massage for $12 with the pedicure. The nail tech Nicole really made a stereotypical greedy move, giving someone service they didn't ask for and in charging for it. I was so shocked; they are literally a new salon already pulling bs moves, doing anything to be greedy for money. I did not ask for that extra fake massage; she went ahead and did it herself, I thought that was part of a spa pedicure, since I was already paying the extra money from the basic pedicure. It was really felt like a big waste. The spa pedicure wasn't even anything special, they just scrub your feet a little bit harder. Something they're supposed to already do for a pedicure service anyways, you were supposed to scrub peoples feet properly. Nowadays is really sad that all the prices are high for basic service, or your not even getting good service at all. She gave me a massage I didn't even ask for I thought it was good, The massage was weak and just follow you just rubbing lotion on my feet. I told the front desk person I'm not coming back after he asked for my membership card. If you go to this solan beware of their greedy antics, if you didn't ask for something and do it anyways, and try to charge you for it, don't pay and don't go back. They just opened up this solan and already stereotypical greedy antics. They are greedy, they are more concern of doing greedy antics then building relationships with customers. There are so many mail solans to be acting greedy, that's how you'll lose customers. If there are any recommendations of other solans in the elmhurst area or nearby, please comment below. I will not be back, they lost a customer me and don't recommend anyone going. read more

I am sad to say this salon is beautiful but the staff are cold and rude. They only want to make money. To file your nails down with the drill which they need to do anyway they charge you 5 dollars. The place is so cold they don't put the heat on. They wait to tell you after your service that if you pay with credit cards it is 5% more then what is listed on their price board but they conveniently have an ATM in the salon, so either way you will be pay that five percent. read more

I've actually never posted on yelp but I feel compelled to because of how rude an employee was at lush garden. I have been here twice and have been pleased with the outcome of my service. Everyone I encountered at the spa was so kind and helpful except for an employee who had a name tag that said Essie. She was unbelievably rude throughout my manicure, not accommodating a simple request like wanting to sit next to my very young daughter as she was getting her nails done, rolled her eyes at me, reacted dramatically every time my daughter made a noise (ie clearing her throat), and generally made the experience horrible.
