This review is for Bianca - if I could leave 10 stars, I would. I've walked by this store countless times and never went in. Today, I saw a Mario x Lush Collab where there was a yellow mystery cube. I walked in and happened to ask Bianca what the yellow box was about. From there, Bianca not only described all of the collab items, she went on to describe the all natural and animal safe aspects of all their products, how they recycle their plastics, introduced all of the great flavors for us to smell, and even helped us try to identify the flavor we wanted by sniffing the mystery boxes! As if that weren't enough, she gave us lots of samples and informed us about the cool party concept they have. And, get this - this all happened during closing time. Instead of rushing us out of the store, she took her time and really made me feel like a VIP customer. Can't say enough good things. Located in Glendale Galleria. Once you step inside, you're surrounded with pleasant aromas from their variety of soaps. Today, we were looking for body lotion that when you put it on, your skin feels so soft and you can smell a hint of lemon. We purchased to smaller side one to see which we liked best and later come back to buy the larger one. The store looks absolutely lovely! I had a very poor experience here today. I came in to buy a face mask and I saw there were new ones in which was exciting. Since they're new and released today I was reading their descriptions to see if I'd be interested in buying any and I decided on the 'Nanakusa Gayu.' As soon as I turn around to show my friend my selection I get approached by Cai/Kai ( young Asian girl) working the salesfloor. She asked if I had used the face mask prior and I respond with "no" because it's new. Without saying another word she grabs the face mask out my hand & says "cash or card ?" I wasn't even done shopping yet. It was very unprofessional and bizarre because I've been shopping at Lush for years and I've never encountered someone so unwelcoming and undertrained. If that's a tactic to deter theft , all she's accomplished is deterring customers since the interaction created an uncomfortable environment for me and my friends resulting in us leaving the store immediately. I went to Lush tonight on a search for self care products. I love going to Lush but I must say the girl who was working tonight (i really wish i got her name) is amazing!! I've never written a review for a chain retail store in a mall before BUT I HAD TO because This was the best shopping experience I can remember. Taylor and the rest of the staff helped us curate 3 gift bundles. In the process they guided us through what felt like every product in the store. They made great recommendations and portioned everything out to make sure we stayed within budget. Then to finish it off they offered to hand wrap everything using the regular shopping materials to give us a free and beautifully presented gift bags. 5 star service at its best! read more

Lowkey disappointed that my last two experiences have been trash. This is my opinion and these are my experiences. 1st visit - as soon as I stepped foot in the door I was asked politely to wash my hands. No problem. I went to smell a few scents, pulled my mask down just under my nose and got yelled at "KEEP YOUR MASK ON" I said how do I smell the scents I'm going to purchase? "THROUGH THE MASK." I asked, are these your policies? "Yes." Then asked, may I see a copy of your store policies? "We don't have one" ????? Then how is it a Lush Policy? Ok.. grabbed my items taking a guess at what they smell like.. bought my items and left. Another nicer patient employee apologized and gave a tip: if you want to smell the scents thru the mask just squeeze the bottle a little. They were helpful and nice. 2nd visit today 11/10/2022 - I walked in and walked to the back which is where I was going to get what I wanted. Employee comes out of no where not standing 6ft away from me and say "WASH YOUR HANDS" I said I just used hand sanitizer at the Crocs store.. "you have to wash your hands" extremely aggressively. I said is that a rule? "yes." I walked out. Their Covid-19 protocols are employees telling you aggressively what to do. *It's not what you say, but how you say it* One thing I practice: Being kind because you don't know what a person is going through. Unfortunately, these employees are aggressive.. A simple please and thank you would go far. I would respect Lush at Glendale more if they had signs posted in the front as soon as you walk in "Please wash hands before shopping" and a list of their covid-19 protocols posted on their window. They seem concerned about covid-19, why are they not taking temperature and asking covid-19 questions? Why are children who touch the most things not asked to wash their hands? read more

my daughter LOVES this store! we can never walk pass without popping in and smelling every soap and bomb. during one of our visits, an employee took a liking to her and showed her EVERYTHING and even sold her on the idea of having her bday party there! fast forward 3 months later, we just had her 6th birthday party here and it was AHHHHHHMAZING! you have to host the party while the store is closed so we chose the first sunday morning of the year since the mall goes back to regular hours and opens later on sundays. so the party was at 9 am which was perfect for the 5-6 year olds! we were allowed to come in earlier to set up and was able to bring in our own food, drinks and decoration. the kids were entertained by the staff with games and activities while parents chatted and ate breakfast. after the parents were done eating, they even demoed some luscious hand soaps which the parents enjoyed. every single staff member was so energetic, kind and accommodating! one even ran to his car to grab a lighter so we could light her candle [heart eyes]. i was sweating so much from running around and setting up, the manager gave me some face blots and a refreshing face spray to calm my face down haha then at the end of the party, they all helped us clean and pack up! hands down the best party hosting experience i've ever had. i'm sure they've made a forever loyal customer out of me and my daughter hahaha read more

I had to come in here since I am a big fan of bath bombs and other beauty products. I was visiting from Las Vegas and wanted to get my best friend something to bring back for her. It was on a Saturday so it was very busy in there. When I was finished I realized there was nobody behind the counter checking people out. An employee (idk her name) came up to me and asked me if I was ready to check out. I said yes, and instead of directing me to the register, she gave me a check out right in the middle of the store. Came in here today with my seven-year-old daughter looking for a simple bar of soap she could use to wash her face. The manager handed me off to another employee who tried to sell us face masks, and I repeated I just need a simple bar of soap for a little girl to wash her face. They then took me over to a Play-Doh soap product which was priced at $12, which seemed like a decent alternative that my daughter was excited about. However, at the register they told me it was $17... I took them back to the display where the product was sitting literally directly behind a sign that said $12, and asked them if they would honor their display. The store employee apologized and said the sign was misplaced, and when I ask for the manager to honor the price they had on display, the manager came over and said she was unable to make any price adjustments. Classic bait and switch marketing at a kids eye-level with rainbow products. Pretty disgusting. As I was leaving, they were moving the sign to accurately reflect the products... will never come here again. read more

This is a review for my visit to the LUSH store in Glendale. I came into this store to return most (ok, all0 of my recent purchase from Pasadena. I'm not the biggest fan of returning things where I purchased them, because I had the pressure of purchasing everything that may or may not have been recommended to me. Upon walking into this store - I was greeted and walked to the cash wrap desk for what I needed to do - return the items. Just because these products didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you. It was just incorrect products for my skin. I LOVE, love: -the buffy bar. -the r&b leave-in conditioner. -the rose argon soap. -the solid shampoos not too much on the ultrabalm, and the new cosmetic colors. The eyeliners ran when it was outside and stung my eye. :( totally no bueno. After my return, Leyla and her staff members gave me very generous samples to take home to try and I didn't have any pressure to make a purchase.
