Small mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant with a small menu and boba options. We went here on a Sunday for lunch and it was fairly solid. We had Uber credits so we used that to place an order, and given the fast casual nature of the place, they were okay with us dining in via takeout pickup. We got the beef meatball banh mi and pork banh mi, both of which had a nice crunch with okay amount of meat - there was not much beef meatballs - 6 small pieces for the whole banh mi, but the pork was delicious and of good quantity.. We also got the Vietnamese coffee that was fairly strong. There is a small amount of seating but it was not too busy so there is always space for dining in for the most part. Parking is easy - street parking.

saturday morning en route elsewhere but had a hankering for a beverage so ended up trying this place out right after they opening. cute, clean, tiny shop that was literally swarmed with neighborhood people within minutes! kids, older folks, couples, families. everyone was here and they were here for a variety of menu items. while we just stuck to bubble tea beverages, kids were clearly drawn to the cotton candy electric blue and pink colored ice cream, some people were order banh mi take out and the clear favorite among the littler kids were the origina pacman and video machines they ran to upon clearing the front door. this definitely seems like a spot that attracts neighborhood energy. our drinks were good and hit the spot. parking is definitely an issue (we parked at the bank across the street for the short time it took to order and wait for our drinks to be ready) and there's a couple of chairs outside if it's overcrowded indoors. all in all, a good stopover and fun to see a local place that's clearly family run thriving and appreciated!

Luu's Cafe is a cute hidden Wedgwood neighborhood cafe serving up boba, bubble waffles, and banh mi. They also have macarons but they are not baked in-house, but from Macadon, another local bakery. While cute, the offerings from this spot left me feeling disappointed. I ordered the rose milk tea with 25% sugar and no ice. It uses non-dairy creamer by default. However, the drink was really watery and did not have much flavor. The boba also had no flavor, as if it was not soaked in sugar. There is a single stall restroom that is pretty clean, and some cool arcade machines and tables to sit at. However, the 2 player option on pac man didn't work. Parking is limited to street parking in the residential neighborhood.

Hokkaido and Regular Milk Tea with Boba

Luu's Cafe has an abundance of bubble tea flavors and other sweet sensations to offer. The Hokkaido Milk Tea is super fresh, they also have fruit-infused teas, and a selection of mouthwatering food, including ice cream waffle taco, macarons, and Bahn Mi. The best part is it has video games to play where one can add some extra fun to their day! With different gaming decor which makes the experience more fun. The staff was able to explain to us the details of different drinks- super helpful.

Solid neighborhood spot - we only tried the teas; no food this time. I would come back to sample the flavored bubble waffles (mmm matcha). There are two employees, one of whom seems like he's possibly the owner. The tea is all made to order, and it takes a bit longer than it would at one of the chains - worth the wait, though. It's very good and reasonably priced. That being said... it's no Yi Fang (I am a sucker for that fresh Passionfruit - the crunchy seeds, Mwahhh). Service is friendly, and the cafe itself is cute/quaint (kinda on the tiny side, but that makes it seem even cozier). Great place for a casual date or a meet-up with a friend.

Absolutely delicious and super fresh food! The service was very sweet and helpful and the store was clean. The macarons are a must try!

Luu's Cafe is a hidden gem, a fantastic little hole-in-the-wall eatery that delivers precisely what you desire--nothing more, nothing less. I went in on a lazy Saturday to grab a Bahn mi and a couple of spring rolls. There was no line and the food came out quickly. The Bahn Mi had a nice crusty French baguette, generous filling of tender, succulent meat, fresh vegetables, and fragrant herbs that all came together harmoniously. The spring rolls were just as delightful! Refreshing and flavorful with veggies, shrimp, and a yummy peanut sauce to go with it. A great place for a speedy bite with a lot of flavor. Will definitely come back!

Vegan meatball báhn mí

I just so happened to be in the neighborhood today when hunger struck me. As I was walking around, Luu's caught my eye; especially when I found out they have vegan friendly options. I ordered the vegan meatball báhn mì, which was made fresh and on the spot. It took about 5 minutes for my meal to be prepared. While I was doing that, I enjoyed formulating words on the felt boards they had hanging up on the wall. Such a cute idea and really adds to making the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. When I received my sandwich, it was warm and toasted to perfection. I originally was going to wait to eat until I ventured back to my hotel but I couldn't resist the freshness and dug in right away! The bread was both crunchy and fluffy, the cucumber and jalapeño were crunchy and refreshing, the pickled carrot/daikon added the perfect splash of acidity, and the vegan meatballs were DELIGHTFUL. Oh how I wish I had ordered two, it was DELICIOUS. I hit the jackpot today by finding the best vegan báhn mì spot in town! I highly recommend to any and all that are in the area. I can't wait to visit again to try their other vegan bites and drink options!

I happened to be in the neighbor on my way home when I saw Luu's Cafe. I ordered ahead and circled a few times trying to find parking. There is limited street parking and a huge Wells Fargo parking lot that was mostly empty around back, but I didn't want to risk it. I had to walk a bit which was okay with me. I knew from passing the storefront that there was a spirited gaggle of kids and parents outside the shop. Most were socializing (it was after school and spirits were high), and some were waiting for orders. I pressed on through the throng and stood in a shorter line than I expected. The inside of Luu's is small with limited seating. There is space enough for the line. However, the line moved slowly. I wish there was a line for pick-up orders only. I appreciated the signs about Luu's commitment to fresh boba, to the community, and to the people of the Ukraine. I love the small town, community vibe here. My food was ready when I got to the front to pay. Hightailed it out the door to battle traffic and eat my banh mi while heading home. It's been hard to find a shop that tops my favorite bbq pork banh mi in Boise. This one was unfortunately more bread than ingredients BUT the bread was delightfully flakey on the outside, soft and airy on the inside. Aside from the bread-to-ingredient ratio being a bit skewed, the sandwich was delicious and I liked the fact that they put two thin spears of jalapeño on the side. The bubble tea was very good. You know, after drinking so many artificially flavored bobas from various mixes, it's a little shocking to taste fresh boba from high quality ingredients. I want to return (hopefully on a day that isn't so busy) to try a few more flavors.

I saw ads for this place and was excited to try it out. We were very excited to see a bubble tea place that had bubble waffles and banh mi's so close to us! (And that wasn't in UDistrict). We came here around 2:15 pm on a Saturday afternoon. There was decent street parking as it's in the front of a neighborhood. When we came in, there was 2 tables already taken, with only a small amount of seating available. My husband and I decided on a original milk tea with boba, a strawberry green tea with lychee jelly, 2 plain bubble waffles (which isn't on the menu but they will do it for you!), and 2 banh mi's (1 bbq pork, 1 roast pork), and all to go. They didn't ask us for sugar levels like most other places, and we forgot about it. It would have been nice if they asked, but we'll just remember to tell them next time. They did warn us that it would be about 10 minutes, which was fine with us. They have cute things to entertain you with. There's a cute instagram border picture prop as well as a small arcade game in the corner. We got our drinks first. The strawberry green tea was good, a little artifically tasting. We loved my husband's original milk tea. It was very good. Strong enough tea taste and not watered down. It was perfect. The banh mi's and bubble waffles came out later in a bag to go. Yum! We drove home to eat it, as by then, there were 2 other larger groups there by then. The bubble waffles smelled AMAZING. We tried it in the car, but it was a tad bit dry and a little over done. Very close to being burnt in our opinion. It was still edible. I could see why they normally have ice cream on them, it would help with the dryness. We'll have to try that next time. The banh mi's were DELICIOUS. I really enjoyed the roast pork. Yum. They included the cripsy, salty top skin of the pork. It was so good. A little heavy on the mayo, but we both really enjoyed it. Overall, we liked Luu's a lot. We can't wait to come back to get more banh mi's. And try their honey toast as well as the bubble waffles with ice cream and toppings! Service was very nice as well.

Watermelon Tea, Lychee Tea, Coconut Pineapple Ice Cream, Macarons

My friend and I randomly saw a BOGO deal advertisement for Luu's Cafe. We're always craving some boba and dessert so we headed over here. LOCATION & PARKING // It's quite easy to miss if you don't know where you're going. It's on the hidden side of the street. It's pretty small and not that lit up with a neon sign so be aware. Street parking down the block was incredibly easy to find on a Sunday night. FOOD & DRINK // I got a boba drink and a small scoop of ice cream! They had a decent sized menu. I ordered the WATERMELON BLACK TEA (50% SWEET, LESS ICE) & COCONUT PINEAPPLE ICE CREAM. I was incredibly impressed with the WATERMELON BLACK TEA. You rarely see this flavor without it being "seasonal." It was refreshing and tasted just like watermelon. I would definitely get this again. As of the ice cream, if you've ever had Thrifty's ice cream before, this tastes exactly like that. It's the perfect blend of coconut with random little sweet chunks of pineapple. I don't see this flavor a lot so I'll be back to get some. SERVICE // Service is very standard here. They were nice to us while we thought through what to order and during our order. The thing about service in boba shops is your interaction with staff is too minimal for anything substantial. AMBIANCE // The decorations are really neutral here. Everything is white and clean so I can't complain too much. I wouldn't say this is a super Instagrammable place. While we were here for two hours, we were the only people here though. I'm not sure if it was because it was late on Sunday but I thought that was a little strange. Maybe it's not well-known yet? OVERALL // 4 stars It's small, quaint, and cute so I'm willing to come back to try their other desserts! I'm still thinking about the watermelon tea...

Getting here will be a relief since you don't have to worry about finding parking in their spacious parking lot, which is shared with many other surrounding businesses. Inside is pretty casual with several tables to sit and hang around, along with one long table where you'll be close to some foliage as my friends and I were. Menu has a variety of items including milk tea, coffee, smoothies and fresh milk. Speciality and possibly seasonal drinks were also advertised around the counter and near the front. Staff at the front take your order and ask about ice and sweetness levels if the drink you order calls for that. There is also a ramen bar to the right-hand side of the front counter you can use after purchasing instant ramen at said front counter. I got myself the Mustache milk tea with 50% sweetness and ice, with regular boba. This is very standard for milk tea but it's also the perfect baseline for their other drinks. The tea is floral and the milk added does not detract from the drink. 50% sweetness is perfect for this drink, as any sweeter would have been too much for me. My friends enjoyed their other drinks, though they all got stuff from various parts of the menu. Pretty decent and nice place to chill, hangout and have some good boba! If I'm around the area, I'll come back for their other milk tea flavors!

Their menu was awesome for me because I do not drink caffeine and the menu made it super clear which items were caffeinated. I asked for half sweetness, but they let me know that the sweetness actually comes from the boba, not the milk, which is cool. I did like the drink and though the brown sugar taste was just right, but the milk tasted way better with the boba and I got tired of chewing the boba. The servers were kind, knowledgable, and enthusiastic. The space was clean and cute but small, so I imagine most people take their drink to go.

I did not realize that One Bite Cafe took over the former Great Harvest Bread. I had checked out One Bite Cafe before in Seattle's Roosevelt neighborhood out of curiosity regarding croffles, but it didn't not leave a lasting impression at the time (open since 2019, with that visit in July 2022). However, when The College Friend set up a meet up at the Lake Forest Park site yesterday (open since May 2022, this visit on 4/9/26). There is an interior entry from the two level retail area and an exterior entry adjacent to the big shared parking lot. It took me a few tries until I found a spot. I was kindly greeted upon entry while the counter person was assisting the customer ahead of me. I ordered and paid directly on the convenient touch screen kiosk located to the left of the main register. I liked the interior transformation. Lots of onsite seating configurations and pleasant decor. Overhead music played the Beatles, which was a pleasant surprise. The wrap around pastry cases with well placed menu placards showed the variety of menu offerings. There's a wide variety of bevs, sweet and savory pastries, desserts, sandwiches, and even gluten free items from NuFlours. I ordered a 22oz iced classic milk tea with 75% sweetness and no toppings, plus some Korean sausage bread. The College Friend decided on a toasted Reuben with chips. We also shared a Portuguese egg tart. We were onsite for three hours. I noticed a constant stream of customers who also dined onsite, as well as, folks getting items to go. I appreciated observing the consistent pleasant and helpful counter staff, all with welcoming smiles! I learned that One Bite Cafe has grown to four sites: Seattle/Roosevelt, Lake Forest Park, Woodinville, and Federal Way. That's great to see ongoing success for this local, indie cafe chain. Lake Forest Park Town Center is lucky to have a variety of cafe, bar, and restaurant destinations. One Bite Cafe gets a collective 5 star for this first time visit.

This place have been on my list for a while now, and I was in the area so I stop by to give it a try. They had a lot of variety of baked goods as well as things from nuflours in capitol hill. The cafe is nice and there's a couple of places in the back where you can sit and enjoy your treats. We got a couple of things to try: Mango croffle 5/5 -- love the flavor love the texture, crunchy outside, soft inside. Mango was refreshing Black sesame cake -- 4.5/5 --- it was very black sesame flavor which I like. The cake was also soft, a little dry and grainy but not too bad. Blueberry egg tart 3/5: not crispy, the blueberry didn't really do anything. Apple cookie 3/5: soft cookie, didn't get any apple flavor. Spicy crab onigiri and beef bulgogi onigiri: 2.5/5 - crumbles apart and was not sturdy, also kinda pricey Lemon scone 1/5: dry, no lemon flavor at all. Service could be better as well. It looks like everything needs to be prep in the kitchen, so once you order on the tablet, the guy disappear to prep the food and there's no one in the front counter. Overall, I would come back for the croffle and cake but nothing else

Once inside, we waited 10 minutes to be seated even though the two couples ahead of us were just paying/picking up and no one was at the host stand. Ordering took another 10 minutes because the QR system kept glitching, failing security codes, and eventually locked us out. To make matters worse, the menus we were handed had half the items crossed out with marker. When seated, the waitress oddly gave us soup bowls and chopsticks -- but no water, no plates, and no napkins. We would spend the next hour repeatedly trying to get those basics. After ordering six mostly dim sum dishes, we tried over and over to flag someone down. No luck. Other tables were clearly frustrated too. The table next to us sent back undercooked pork dumplings. Another table complained they'd been trying to pay for an hour. About 20 minutes later, scallion pancakes arrived -- but we still had no plates. Unable to get anyone's attention, we ate a few pieces leaning over the serving dish. The pancakes were limp, greasy, pale, and unpleasant. Another 10-15 minutes passed before more food arrived. The pork shu mai was decent, but you only get three pieces for about $7 -- overpriced. The xiao long bao (10 for $13) were bland and tasted like frozen dumplings. The steamed BBQ pork buns (only two) were small, chewy, and clearly reheated -- grocery-store quality at best. The pork and shrimp dumplings were worse: hard, dry, super chewy wrappers and poorly cooked filling. When we again asked for plates, napkins, and water, they tried to give us sauce bowls instead. Eventually we got plates -- still no napkins or water. After another 20 minutes of trying to get attention, we were finally given a carafe of water and small orange tea cups. Everyone else had normal water glasses. Still no napkins. I joked they didn't have plates and water glasses because the dishwashers were cooking the food?? Over an hour in, we still hadn't received our beef chow fun. The server eventually asked if we had "gotten it or not" -- clearly we hadn't. We waited another 20 minutes. When the beef chow fun arrived, it was terrible: cheap egg noodles, barely any beef, overloaded with raw and cooked onions, and drowned in a gloppy, overly salty sauce that tasted like bottled Oyster sauce. Even Panda Express does this better. That dish alone was $17. We immediately asked for to-go boxes, yet were told to "take your time," which was baffling after waiting so long. Paying was another ordeal -- you could order, but couldn't pay through QR option, and other tables were still unable to close out. One table had to walk to the host stand out of frustration. That same table had kept borrowing our table's condiments because their table had none and they also couldn't get server. We went in expecting a quick dinner and instead got servers who couldn't provide simple basics like plates, napkins, or water, couldn't bus tables, and couldn't close checks efficiently -- all while serving bland to terrible food at high prices. We paid $70. For the first time ever, we didn't leave a tip. If basic service requires asking over half a dozen times, that's unacceptable. Also having served in college, while busy, the number of servers seemed sufficient...they were just bad at their jobs. $35 per person for bad food and worse service does not work for us. We won't be back.
