    The Pistachio Cream Croissant was delicious! The prices are reasonable, too. I came at 1:30pm and they were out of a few things, so I look forward to coming back at an earlier time to try more items.

    Best ham and cheese croissant I've ever had. Period. I liked the idea of the prosciutto, brie and fig jam pastry more than the execution but it was still pretty good. It's just that the ham and cheese croissant was SO good, I wanted to eat my boyfriend's breakfast more than my own. Coffee was good too.

    Cute little bakery with delicious pastries, dessert's, muffins, a variety of sandwiches, quiche, soup, and coffee. Street Parking only. It wasn't very busy the mid-morning we visited. I ordered a Pain au Chocolat, Nutella Cruffin, and a Blackberry Cream Cheese Danish. We had grabbed breakfast at Mas Cafe before heading here, so I didn't get too many items. Had I come on an empty stomach it would have been a different story lol. The pastries were quite delicious and they didn't skimp on the fillings either. Plenty of Nutella and Blackberry/Cream Cheese filling. I like the size of the pastries as well. Fairly priced for the size and generous filling for the items I experienced. I enjoyed the texture of the cruffin. I've heard all about it, but it was my first time sampling a cruffin. The employees were kind upon check out as well. I'd definitely be back on my next visit to SEA so I can try other items on their menu and I would definitely recommend you stop in and judge for yourself.

    what an amazing find by the friend who brought us! I'm a huge sucker for coffee, croissants, and crispy sandwiches, all that. This place is heaven! the drinks are delicious, the food is freshly made and there's such a huge selection for whatever palate tickles your fancy that day. The tuna sandwich I got along with the mango pastry made for such a tasty meal. The Matcha latte is also not too sweet, which is the main thing that I get scared of, but everyone was extremely happy with their food and the croissant sandwiches from what I tasted were also gas. We chatted a bit longer and pushed up against their closing time, and I did really appreciate that they didn't start packing up while we were still in the store. i will 200% be back! yum!

    Great neighborhood bakery. A lot of options and most were good. The pear croissant and lemon tart were delightful and not too sweet. The matcha strawberry tart was a bit of a miss. Very sweet, the match flavor didn't come thru and had a hint of freezer burn. The strawberry element in the cake was bomb tho. The quiche was . Nothing that is going to knock your socks off but hits the spot when you a morning pick me up.

    There are two benchmark pastries I look at whenever I go to a new patisserie - the almond croissant and the kouign amann. At Zary Bakery, they both didn't look that great, with the almond croissant being strangely flat, as if the pastry chef purposefully smashed it down, and the kouign amann sprawling out into a wide disk instead of being more muffin shaped. Just because they look a bit strange doesn't mean they are bad, but I decided instead to purchase some other items that seemed more interesting. Palmier ($5.40) - This palmier is exceptionally fragrant with the smell of butter wafting into the nose with every bite. It has a fantastically flaky crunch factor on the edges, transitioning to a softer and more chewy section on the interior. This is thicker than most palmiers I've seen, resulting in the interior especially being softer, more buttery, and less sweet. Overall, this pastry isn't as sweet as most palmiers I've had. The sugar glaze isn't applied too thickly, so it doesn't help glue the layers together, resulting in an exceptionally flaky dessert that doesn't gum up the teeth while chewing. (4/5) Kentucky Butter Cake ($6.35) - I haven't had this cake before, and doing more research, apparently it comes from Missouri rather than Kentucky? At any rate, this mini bundt cake looked delicious in the pictures and quickly became something we had to pick up on our visit. This is essentially a slightly richer version of a prototypical yellow cake, with vanilla flavoring and some warming spices added for oomph. It's not quite to the density or nearly as buttery as a pound cake, but kind of rests in that area between. The crumb is quite moist and the taste isn't too sweet. I read that there's usually a sugar and butter glaze poured on top, but I don't think they incorporate that aspect here at Zary. (4/5) I also ordered a TGTG bag with day old pastries, which included: French Butter Croissant ($5.25) - The croissant is buttery, decently flaky, and baked until a lighter golden brown, although due to being day old, there's not really any crust to speak of. It has a great honeycomb structure on the interior, making it well risen, light and airy. The croissant would make a great base for a sandwich and is perfectly enjoyable to eat by itself. Caramel S'Mores Croissant ($6.50) - Even though this is labeled as a croissant, it's more of a cruffin based on the shape of the pastry. Chocolate dipped caramel pretzel graces the top, adding a salty and sweet crunch. Inside the pastry is a kind of a cream cheese-like sweet and slightly tangy filling. It's a more substantial and richer version of marshmallow fluff with a more complex flavor than just pure sweetness. M&M and Chocolate Chip Cookie ($3.50) - The cookie is sweet, but not overwhelmingly so, with plenty of chocolate and M&Ms. Since it was day old, it's hardened up a bit, but still easy to eat. I did find a kind of acrid bitter taste in the dough, which reminds me of baking soda. I'm not 100% sure what that flavor is from, but it made the cookie the least enjoyable dessert, at least for me. Of course, it's not fair to rate a bakery based on the day old items, so I will refrain from factoring these into my rating. Overall Zary is a pretty solid bakery. They serve some interesting pastries and the wide variety makes repeat visits easy to foresee.

    I've had time and perspective to genuinely review this bakery. This bakery is not only beautiful inside, they produce beautiful and delicious pastries and baked goods. The cinnamon roll was one of the best I've tasted. It's just the right size and perfectly frosted. The flavor of the cinnamon is just right and doesn't taste of mass produced flavorings that many cinnamon rolls taste like. The roll is moist and not one bite was dry. That's how I judge a good pastry; no dry bites! I've also tried a few Kentucky varieties of Kentucky cake. One was on the dry side but the other was moist with a few blueberries. I tasted a hint of cardamom which is different but in a good way. I will definitely keep this bakery on our list of repeat visits. If you are fortunate to be near this bakery, you need to try something delicious fast!! If you're visiting, make this a definite stop!!

    Still in love with Zary. Had one of their seasonal beverages, the strawberry cold foam latte, and heard the Pixies Where is My Mind playing in the background. I lost my mind at how much I liked it. Had the strawberry lemon brioche. Still a winner!

    All of the food was lovely. Unfortunately my order got missed and I had to ask about it to get it going, so I ended up missing my bus. They did give me a free bakery item as an apology for the communication mishap, which I appreciated. I know these things can happen and they were very apologetic so I would come back, especially for the potato croissant! It's a small but cute spot for bakery and light lunch items, with good natural light and right in front of a bus stop.

    I wanted to place a quick pickup order so within the YELP app, I clicked on START ORDER and saw that you can place an order inside the YELP platform. I also saw that the ordering process was powered by Grubhub. Since I wanted to be able to use my own Grubhub account, I used the Grubhub app instead and ordered the following: 1 Almond Croissant $7.10 1 Almond Pear Croissant $7.10 1 Kentucky Butter Cake $7.10 1 Kentucky Butter Cake with Blueberries $7.20 1 Kouign-amann $6.85 2 Kouign-amann $13.70 I went into the store at the estimated pickup time per Grubhub and they didn't know about order. They asked what delivery app I used and I had to tell them I used Grubhub. And then they must have activated something because at that moment, I got a text notification that my Grubhub order has been received and a new pickup time was given. Not smooth but not a biggie. Took the pastries home and found that for my almond pear croissant, they automatically substituted it with Blackberry Cream Cheese Danish and the its packaging had a handwritten note "sorry, out of almond pear." Since I was waiting inside the store, I am puzzled why they weren't able to notify me and perhaps ask me what I would like instead. Other than these issues, the pastries were very tasty. The cafe seemed very cozy and clean.

    Easily the best French bakery in the city. I happened upon this place when picking up a bagel order next door, and I am glad I did. Everything looks amazing. Everything is fresh. I took two large boxes away, and every piece has been outstanding. The palmiers are the best we've ever had. Period. Croissants are divine. So are the other classic French items, including savory items. But they also have superb American-style scones, and I LOVE an excellent scone. These are they. And the rare Kentucky Butter Cake. A French/Swiss couple who lived nearby scoffed at me for planning to go next door for bagels. "This is the REAL thing. Those are...bagels." Hey, both places are great, and I am delighted they are next to each other. Worth driving for.

Through several visits: Baguette, Large ($7.95) - Great baguette with bubbling golden exterior complete with the perfectly baked crust even after waiting 3 hours before cutting in and eating. The interior has the perfect moisture level and is delightfully soft and chewy. The taste overall has a deep developed flavor. This is a great baguette. The only problem - the price. I can find ones for half the price that are maybe 80% as good as this one. (5/5) Seasonal Biscuit ($4.50) - This biscuit definitely isn't Southern-style. It's more of a drop biscuit, combining a relatively soft and tender interior with a nice exterior crust, without any flakiness or layering. The interior is almost cake-like in texture and crumb, and is plenty moist. They add plenty of fresh black pepper inside. It's distributed very evenly, giving a peppery bite with every mouthful. Parmesan is added to the top of the biscuit before baking, giving plenty of umami and richness but only on the upper layer. (4/5) Green Vinaigrette Cafeteria Style Pizza ($6.25) - The pizza is kept under a warming lamp, so it starts getting a little dried out after I assume a couple of hours spent there. I do love the base though - it's focaccia-like giving a really crunchy dark golden brown crust underneath, which supports the toppings. The pizza slice has lots of structural integrity and doesn't flop over. There's a base of fragrant concentrated tomato paste-like flavor which is topped with a very even layer of cheese. Since it's warmed rather than freshly baked, the cheese starts congealing a bit. The cheese is peppered with parsley, garlic, and a bunch of mustard seeds, giving a special zing. The toppings go all the way to the sides of the pie, making it great for people who dislike crust. Even though it's cafeteria style pizza that's kept under heat lamps, I quite liked it. I wonder if I can get a really fresh slice if I get there right at 11AM when lunch starts. (5/5) Chocolate Croissant ($6.10) - Great lamination with a very aesthetic honeycomb pattern. Baked on the harder side, causing fantastic crispy flaky layers to flake off, but also creating a darker golden brown character that is on the verge of bitterness. Nicely buttery soft and chewy interior. Chocolate is a darker variety, probably somewhere around 70%, so it has a pleasing balanced sweetness and chocolate flavor. It's not typical baton, instead seems to be a section from a bar. Still warm and melty even through I didn't eat the croissant until ~30 minutes after purchasing. When cooled down further, some red fruity notes start appearing, so this seems to be be pretty high quality. (5/5) White Sourdough ($12.60) - Now this is a loaf of bread. Superb crust, probably 2 or 3 times as thick compared to competitors, creating a supreme crusty bite with a chew approaching a hard crunch with almost caramelized molasses notes on the bottom. The interior is moist and tender with a pleasing slight sourdough tang. It's a superb piece of craftsmanship. (5/5) Kouign Amann ($5.80) - This is another heavier bake with some acridity development on the top surface. Unlike many other bakeries where the kouign amann is basically a differently shaped croissant with sugar glaze, Sea Wolf's version feels more in line with tradition. The crumb is denser and richer, more like brioche. There's interesting black speckling inside which I believe is due to the inclusion of espresso powder given the mild coffee-like flavor. The crust is again baked hard, but it's lighter and not as flaky as the croissant. They sprinkle just a bit of salt on top of a very light caramelized sugar glaze. It's not very sweet and I didn't find it too salty unlike some other reviewers. (5/5) Plain Focaccia Slice ($4.80) - Good quality olive oil, some salt sprinkled on top to boost the flavors. Light and airy interior, but the exterior is a little wan, being more light golden brown and lacking some good crusty crisp especially on the fried bottom. Quite oily. (4/5) Sea Wolf gives out free sourdough starter, which can be requested from the cashier. Since picking it up several weeks ago, I've gone through several feed/bake cycles for making sourdough focaccia. I've visited Sea Wolf 3 or 4 times in the last month. That's a testament to how high quality their pastries and breads are. I think the only thing stopping me from visiting more is thanks to the starter I got from them fanning my baking instincts. I bake so much now that I don't have any need to buy their bread! Note: Sea Wolf charges a 3% credit card fee. This is not noted on their menu - it only appears in the POS right before paying. Butter Croissant (3.75/5): I'll admit I'm insanely picky with my croissants and I think Sea Wolf's is just okay. I want a stronger crisp on the outside, something that almost shatters and makes a mess when you bite in, but the inside has a nice chew. Kouign Amann (3.75/5): I had a really fantastic time with this my first time picking it up, they have almost a crunchy sugar caramel crust on the outside with super buttery pastry inside. Unfortunately, my second time picking this up ended up being a miss, just stale and much to dry. Cinnamon Roll (1/5): The raisins are a nice touch, but this was awfully dry. Even the caramelized crus on the outside couldn't save this and charging extra for cream cheese frosting on top of a dry dough is criminal.

Mine came absolutely drowning in syrup, and honestly, the flavor tasted pretty artificial and overpowering.

I love that they had different options of fruit to pick from and I chose blueberry! The pastry was perfectly flaky and I loved how fresh the blueberry tasted. My boyfriend ordered the chocolate croissant because he was excited at the idea of the chocolate being piped through the croissant and also drizzled over the top, but it turns out the dark brown parts on top are just design and not more chocolate. Still, he was pleased with the amount of chocolate in the croissant and the bite I had was heavenly. The champagne cake caught my eye as I was ordering and I just had to try a bite, it was absolutely delicious and fresh. I loved how light the cake was and the layers of flavour through the whole dessert! I love how bright and airy the cafe is! My boyfriend and I were easily able to find seating by the windows and enjoyed the gorgeous view of the space needle and people watching as we shared breakfast. The staff here was also patient and welcoming. We'll definitely have to come back and try more of their pastries!!

Coffee is good but not a wow. Food like the croissants seems to be not fresh. They did not have the look of freshly baked considering it was around 9am. Not sure but did not have the glow or lopk when I see a pastry. Nice place though. Lots of tables and space. They were busy.
