Saw the sign while driving back to the city and liked the name, so I stopped in for some quick chicken and rice. The place has a decent sized parking lot with a steady flow of customers going in and out for takeout, which is a very good sign that the food may be fresh and cooked to order. There was lots of seating inside, a sauce bar for your orders and everything looked clean. The staff were friendly and very quick, and you can see them cook the proteins fresh in the back. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with extra chicken with a few sides. I liked the portion sizes and how fast the food came out. Unfortunately, the batch of chicken I received was quite tough and dry. I tried to save it with some warm teriyaki sauce from the sauce station, but it didn't do much for it. The egg roll was just okay and resembled more of a fried spring roll, and the shrimp tempura had a thick, doughy texture I didn't care for. On the bright side of things, the cheese puffs were light and tasty and the prices were not so bad.

Excellent quality chicken bowls at an great price. Cooked to order so you get fresh chicken right off the grill. Restaurant is super clean and spacious. Service is fast and friendly. They have their own parking lot so you don't have to struggle with street parking. I'd come here again for sure.

Overall the food was too bland and dry.

I ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl with extra chicken. The food smelled good but the building was heavily ran down both indoor and outdoor. Staff was stand off ish and almost shy. When my food came it was a bigger portion than I expected and the price was good. Sadly the chicken was way overcooked and it killed the entire meal. No amount of teriyaki sauce would fix it. Trust me I tried. It was edible, but there's so many better places out there. I won't be back.

Been going here for many years. Quality is still the same. Food excellent. Great staff. I always recommend the teriyaki chicken bowl.

Decent place if your really hungry. Stopped by here a few months ago. We ordered 2 teriyaki chicken bowls. Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long despite how many people were there. Food was pretty good. The teriyaki chicken was not dry but it seems to be dry the next day though.

An amazing home-y spot for Asian comfort food in Manteca :)…read more For appetizers, we got the bang bang shrimp and spicy wontons and both were delicious. I liked how crispy and sweet yet tangy the bang bang shrimp was. This was probably my favorite item we tried! The chili wontons weren't too spicy and they were really generous with the amount of shrimp inside. Shrimp & wonton noodle soup was def a comfort meal growing up, so I'm happy they had that here! Portion size was very generous and broth was tasty. Noodles were cooked well too, and I liked the filling of the wonton. We also got the curry ramen with katsu chicken. The chicken was sooo crispy, it was one of my favorite items. The bacon kimchi flavor had a nice spicy kick to it. The beef chili oil noodles was tasty and I liked the small beef bits. The bang bang chicken had the same sauce as the bang bang shrimp, but I liked how the entree came with rice too. The philly cheesesteak eggrolls were super crispy, and if you're a cheese lover, you need to try this! Overall, a really solid spot for Asian fusion food, and the servers were all extremely nice and patient as well. Service was really quick!

Decided to eat here before watching a movie at AMC theater right next door on a Friday night…read more I was hoping that their Japanese food would be good but was disappointed by it. Firstly- garlic spicy edamame - felt it was rushed to make. The edamame was firm and not soft and there was no real spice or garlicky taste to it. For it being $9.95 whereas the steam edamame was $5.50, definitely not worth it. 2 stars Baby lobster roll- California topped with lobster pieces and eel sauce was pleasantly good. 5 stars Chicken teriyaki dinner - half the plate was filled with salad and an okay miso dressing. The chicken was just ordinary. I got tired of it quick and couldn't finish it. To me, it wasn't as good as my fav Japanese restaurant on how it's prepared, so for that I give it 3 stars. (Wouldn't order it again) My wife had the salmon teriyaki and she finished the rice but left a lot of salmon on her plate. No grade since I didn't try it. The positive is the staff was really friendly and attentive. 5 stars Now that I've tried Matsu Sushi, I don't think I would eat here if waiting to watch a movie at AMC. They have a great spot being next to the theater but sadly, not impressed with the food that I would want to spend over $100 to eat here (3 people)

You can tell they take pride in their fish. The Red Ocean roll seems to be the go-to item here, and I tried it. It's definitely good and well balanced, but it does feel like the restaurant emphasizes it a bit too much. While it's worth trying once, I'd actually recommend exploring some of the other rolls on the menu because there's likely even better options to discover. When we arrived, we dropped off a cake and candle at the front counter and told them it was a surprise birthday cake and asked if they would be able to set up and bring it out once we finish our dinner. They said "yes". We do this all the time with other restaurants and have never had any issues. Normally, cake is brought out and candle that we provide is lit. Some restaurants even go as far as singing happy birthday. We finished our food and sat there for a while waiting for the server, Dolly, who was nowhere to be found. So we started stacking our plates to the side to get ready for the cake. When we finally saw her, we whispered to her that we were ready for the surprise cake. She went back into the kitchen and came out with the cake still in the box and candles still in the package and says out loud "here's your birthday cake" in front of the whole party. We asked her if they had a lighter and lit the candles ourselves. We sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed our cake next to our dirty dishes from our dinner that still have not been collected. A previous time eating here, my friend ordered takeout for her husband after we dined in. My friend lives in a different city. By the time she got home, she realized that 1 of 2 of what she ordered was missing. She called and told her she wasn't going to drive back but they were kind enough to comp her next meal. They said they can come back when she's back in town again to pick up a voucher. When she went to pick up the voucher, 2 other people were there picking up vouchers for missing orders too. Apparently, it's a common thing that happens. The food itself is decent and price is reasonable for what you're getting. However, the service is horrible from my handful of experiences here.
