On a recent visit, our server was phenomenally awesome... she had exactly the type of personality I look for she was saucy and she has a sense of humor that can't be beat The food was phenomenal The biscuits and gravy were some of the best I'd ever had I will absolutely come back here

Baileys, banana and coconut. Yum. Can't even taste the liquor.

Go and meet Scott, he is part owner and he is fabulous! He knows how to take care of people. Yes, it's a bar but it so much more then that. I posted all sorts of pictures. We had dumplings, egg rolls, Thai chicken pizza , an International burger with a fried egg, a BBQ burger with a fried egg, two peach concoctions of Scott's creation, one BBC (banana, Baileys' and coconut) and one Angry Orchard. (See picture) We were there about 6pm on a Saturday and it really should have been busier. The service was wonderful. The food was great. I took half a burger and most of a pizza home because we were stuffed. Thank goodness I live within crawling distance. I could see this becoming a regular haunt for me and my weekend workers of downtown!. I wish them much success!

    Amazing, spotless!

Burgers are amazing and the Filipino egg rolls are house-made and perfect. I will return multiple times just to have the Filipino eggrolls. Management is well-seasoned and have created the perfect mix of atmosphere and quality. We were really impressed with the above-the-norm burgers and attentive ownership/management. If you work downtown, definitely take advantage of this spot for lunch. They know what they're doing and the location is excellent. Did I mention the cleanliness? It's white-glove immaculate here. It's rare to find a west downtown Omaha setting that is so affable for conversation and a good-vibe nightlife venue. It is a really good mix with upper-crust bar food at truly acceptable prices. We love coming to The Verdict.

This is a hidden gem! I don't know how they are for drinks as we come for the tacos on Tuesday! $1 tacos. They are ground beef only but doesn't matter! Delicious and worth more than a $1 so what a value! They are served in a fried flour tortilla similar to California Tacos only not as large. So I can eat a couple without feeling stuffed. Also they have yummy crab Rangoon dip! It's creamy, sweet, tart, lightly crabby and so good! Comes with friend wonton wrappers for chips. The service is friendly, quick and wonderful. I'd go every Tuesday and with $1 tacos, can afford to!

This place is great as always. :) I recommend the mash potato balls with gravy. Sooo delicious! A great selection of local beers too!

I don't want to sound like an over entitled west coast food snob, but I'm afraid if I typed that it's already too late- but, I've been to the Bagel Bin, I've been to Brueger's (sp?) and I've tried a lot of bagels around Omaha and nothing was quite what I could find at home or in other metro areas, then my daughter introduced me to Know Good and I'm hooked. So delicious. The bagels are bagel-y not bready, the coffee is craft, the dining area is clean and simple, I can see the kitchen which is spotless- this is not just a good bagel shop for Omaha, this is a bagel shop that rivals just about anything I've been to anywhere. (Slight caveat, the lox is not comparable to the lox in NYC, but I don't think that really exists anywhere. Yes, I know, more coastal elite pretentiousness on my part, I'm sorry.) Staff were professional, not overly chatty, but that's not what we were looking for- they knew the menu, had suggestions, were pleasant. Seriously, the last time I was in town I stayed for a week and I came here three times, that's about the highest praise I can give.

Loved this place!…read more Omaha was such a surprising place for its range of high quality food. Memoir was only a few blocks away from our Moxy Hotel. We were able make a reservation on Open Table. Food (5/5): We had some wonderful food here. We had the following: TSUNAMI MAKI inside * shrimp tempura, crab mix, cream cheese / outside * crab stick tempura, spicy honey mustard, sweet soy, sesame seeds (8 pcs) WAGYU MEMOIR DIP* - smoked shaved beef, crescenza cheese, horseradish aioli, french bread, fries or simple salad Both were really delicious. For some reason, I missed the the "dip" was a "French dip sandwich" - I thought tit was actually a dip (haha). We split the sandwich as it was huge, and then ended up ditching the bread and adding the beef to the fried rice, below. BEEF FAT FRIED RICE - egg, snow peas, carrot, scallion Service (5/5): Server was kind and efficient. Ambiance (5/5): Cool, modern and upscale vibe. We had a cool corner booth. Loved the atmosphere.

The online ordering website was easy to manage and schedule my order. Upon arrival, the restaurant is beautiful so I would have loved to dine in. Yellowtail Sashimi: 5/5 fresh combination of fish, citrus, and a lil heat from the jalapeño! Memoir Salad: 4/5 little more cheese than I would have preferred. But good. I added the flatiron steak which was really tasty! I almost ate it alone as it was packaged separately, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked medium. Not sure how many ounces there were. Appeared small but good lunch portion. Roasted Beets: 2/5 I can't say I enjoyed this combination. The yogurt had a twang to it that I felt like was throwing everything off.

Served with a side of fries and a pickle spear. I love pickles but this pickle tasted odd, closer to a butter pickle than a dill. The fries were delicious, I believe they are twice fried making a wonderful crunchy exterior and fluffy interior. The Rachel was fine. The rye bread tasted a bit stale, and the turkey was centered in the sandwich to make the cut cross section look loaded but then making 1/3 on each half just bread. Minimal sauerkraut and very little thousand island made it pretty dry. Based on the food would have rated my experience lower but I've had The Rachel before and it was amazing so this must have been an off day. Restaurant is decorated in a beautiful color palette. The mustard plush benches are pretty but not plush, I learned the hard way as I plopped down. It was surprisingly muggy inside the restaurant for a 70 degree day. The service was adequate and the restaurant and hotel were stunning as always.

The drink selection is a highlight too; good variety across beers and seltzer options that keeps things interesting no matter what mood you're in. Last night was the one time things felt a little off -- the margarita came across watered down, and our waitress seemed to be rushing us through the meal. But that's been the exception, not the rule. Every other visit the service has been warm and attentive. One off night doesn't undo a track record of good experiences, and I'll definitely be back.

Our server was really nice and was knowledgeable about the food the restaurant offers. I always like seeing the vats at breweries, there is something that just fascinates me about them. The food: they do not have a huge menu, which is fine. I was a little surprised by the price of some of the apps; like $17.75 for meatballs and $14.99 for fried cauliflower. Fortunately the sandwiches and entrees were priced similar to what I would expect at a restaurant. The iced tea was smooth and attractive, I did not regret ordering it like I have at some restaurants. I got the Reuben, because if there's a Reuben on the menu, I have to try it. Big Grove's is a good corned beef sandwich made with quality ingredients. To my taste, though, the sauerkraut was minimal in quantity and hardly perceptible in flavor. Also; restaurants, please take note: if I am served a Reuben without a pickle spear, you have totally lost my respect. It costs you like a quarter. It's a vital part of the Reuben plate especially if the sauerkraut is not a major part of the sandwich. I doubt that I will return here; though my husband was happy with the Rachel, which is basically Reuben's sister. I think maybe there is free parking out front but we were surprised to see that at least in the back, it's metered parking. Unexpected for this part of town. Anyway; this is a nice place, and though I was personally disappointed in my meal, I do realize that probably a lot of people would maybe find this Reuben more satisfying than I did. But in my opinion, if a restaurant falls short on Omaha's signature sandwich, they aren't going to get 5 stars from me.
