It's not often that a visit to an auto mechanic reaffirms your faith in humanity, but after a visit to Lux Auto Body Service I can testify that it can happen. As a father of 4 and a grandfather of 3. I have installed and removed many of carseats in my day. I went to remove my granddaughters new one and the buckle became stuck inside. In my haste, the belt began getting tighter and tighter, before long the carseat is upside down tight as could be. After trying for what seamed like hours myself, I went to my first unsuccessful shop and they recommended I go to Lux. They greeted me right away with a "how can we help you?" After explaining what happed, they got right to work. I was already contemplating, would a new seatbelt be cheaper than this $350 carseat. Back in February, I got into an accident that left my car completely totaled. For reasons that made sense to absolutely no one else but me and based entirely within sentimentality, I decided I just had to get it repaired instead of junking it. I couldn't bear to part with my car. Even my mom and uncle, two people that are part of the long line of mechanics and car enthusiasts in my family, told me to junk it. But I refused, and I took it to my in-laws' mechanic. At the recommendation of our family mechanic, we took it to Lux Auto Body & Paint. Peter was extremely accommodating and understanding, and kept us updated on the progress as some parts were a bit more difficult to source than any of us had intended. We understood the extent of the damage and the length of the repairs needed so this was not a problem at all. The pricing was the fairest we found in the area, adding up to about $4500. This included a new radiator--honestly a new everything, I don't think there's a part on this car that isn't new anymore--and a full paint job (initially he was only going to do the front to make the repairs look seamless but they threw in a full paint job at no additional cost to us) and interior detailing. I felt like I was taking home my car off the showroom floor instead of an auto body shop. Even my radio works better than it did before. It was also a major bonus to find out that the shop's Armenian owned and operated, as there are so few Armenian businesses here in the South Bay. As one of possibly 20 Armenians in the area, a quarter of which I'm related to, it's nice to know I can support my little community by adding another Armenian business to my list. I can't imagine there being a better deal around than the one you're going to find if you choose to come here, especially if you need body work after an accident. I can't sing their praises enough. I'm so appreciative for how good a job they did on my car and how they went above and beyond to ensure that everything was taken care of and that we were kept in the loop on all the repairs. I took my car here to get it repaired through my insurance. I didn't take a before picture because I couldn't bare to look at my damaged car. I scraped my passenger side on a low wall and did a considerable amount of damage. Complete Satisfaction! Those are the two words that is the most important when it comes to getting work done on your prized possession. Let me tell you Lux auto body delivered. Peter and the staff are complete professionals, and they made me feel very comfortable from the get-go. My brand new car was unluckily hit by an errant ball at a high school baseball game. I happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and my moonroof shattered. When I was looking for a place, I had two criteria's: 1 it worked with mercury and 2 it was Kia certified - lux happened to be both. When I gave them a call, They answered all my little questions and gave me an appointment time to bring my car in. I was about 30 minutes late to my appointment, but they were still nice enough to accommodate me even though I was late. Peter addressed all my concerns and assure me that OEM parts will be used and that my car will be as good as new. The turnaround time was quick and Peter came through with his words when I got my car back. My car was indeed as good as new. Peter even buffed out some of micro scratches that I had my car, completely free of charge. I will be going back to this place if I need any bodywork in the future. I had put a "nice" dent into my 2021 car. At first, I was going to try and "live" with it; however, I could not. I went to my mechanic, Danny (Autoplex, Gardena) who referred me to Peter at Lux Auto Body and the rest was a wonderful experience.
