Lux was very accommodating, got both me and my daughter in right away without an appointment. We both got the basic pedicure. The chairs here are very comfortable and the salon is clean. John did my pedicure, I would ask for him again. Four stars only because I had to ask for a third coat on one of my toes because the polish was streaky. Came in to get a set done. I just got back from a workout so I had the cold sweats. Some lady in there yelled from across the room "better to take that sweatshirt off it's getting hot in here" after the older asian lady who I believe owns the store had told me that their power went out. After that lady yelled that at me, the older lady working there didn't say anything and smiled. All customers who come in regardless of what they wear shouldn't be shouted at like that from another customer with the workers watching and even smiling about it. Went for the head spa option. It was my first time trying and was going with a girlfriend. We called to make our appointments day of. When we arrived we were taken to the back room for services within 5 minutes! All the workers were so nice. I had no idea what a head spa experience would be like so if you're like me let me explain a little: - they started by showing us pictures of our scalp and a little explanation about its condition (mine for example was pretty healthy but oily) - next you get comfy and they started with a head massage -the service then moved to basically a luxury hair wash -scalp scrubbing and treatment happened -and more hair washing & treatments -at the end there was another little massage of neck and shoulders -then we were taken to get our hair dried and a comparison picture of our scalp after! I left extremely relaxed, left with a healthy scalp, clean hair, and a feeling of excitement for my next one! read more

The person who gave me the gift card for my scalp treatment talked to them about changing the time from 90 minutes to 60 minutes after we bought it and they gave me a free pedicure to make up for it which was really nice. I made an appointment for 1:30 but my service wasn't ready until after 1:45 so still a wait even when you make an appointment. I have been seeing this nail salon advertised all over my social media and wanted to give it a shot! So I did and made the plans to go yesterday 10/4. I walked in around 11am was asked for what service I was looking for. Told the lady a pedicure and a full set. Then the lady said please have a seat and pick out your colors and we'll be with you shortly. I maybe waited 15 minutes tops. The girl who did my pedicure was AMAZING! Her name is Vina. While the salon looks lovely and is in a fairly nice neighborhood, my tech was using dirty tools, including a used sanding band, and dirty drill bits as well. She also used the dirty water my feet had been soaking in to fill up the steam machine, which was full of brown, dull water. One of the other technicians was walking around barefoot with filthy feet while doing a manicure. Overall the vibe wasn't too bad but definitely did not feel welcome there. For the reviews left for this place and the pricing I expected a lot better. I had a French tip manicure and I know usually places charge more for French tip, which I never understood in the first place because you're using less polish but $10 extra for French tip is a little outrageous and I had to keep telling the person to make sure that my big toes are the same length. After my toes were finished I went on to do my fingernails and I showed her what I wanted and I told her I wanted gel extensions for the fingers that had been shortened from breakage. She didn't do any nail extensions. None of my fingernails were the same length or shape and she wanted to finish off by polishing and she trimming away skin that didn't need to be trimmed causing pain. I called 4 weeks in advanced and made 4 pedicures appointments. our group showed up and they acted like we didn't have appointments. They rushed through the first girl 23 minutes when it's supposed to be an hour, the 4th person in our party never ever go started on their pedi until all of us were done. They cut so far into the nail if one of our party that they were bleeding and the rubbed their feet raw with the scrubbing. The nail polish on the pedicure was old and immediately chipped off. Ok I love my nails and Danny did a phenomenal job. He was quick yet got every detail perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, except for a few things... At the end, they didn't want to accept my Groupon. I asked for dip, but they only did dip for the base and then gel on top. I got acrylic extentions and design. They said it was $65 and that I could return the Groupon, but I purchased it for a reason, otherwise I wouldn't be there, right? We're all on a budget these days. Anyway, I said I'd be happy to pay the extra charges, I expected it. But since I had a Groupon, they wanted to charge me $85 instead, so after they deducted the Groupon, I still wound up paying $37+ tip. So I essentially paid about $80 to have my nails done when including the cost of the Groupon. That's insane. The most I've paid for full dip and detail was about $55 with tip. But $80?! They didn't even trim my cuticles or apply lotion to my hands after the paint was done. I love my nails, but wasn't thrilled about the price. Updating to add that despite the owner saying below they offer mimosas, I was never offered any and similar to what another poster said, the technician uses his own nail to push your cuticles back. read more

Not enjoyable experience. I got the detox and hydrofacial which is an hour long, and for an entire hour, the girl doing my treatment was coughing a foot away from my face without wearing a mask.
