I've had the pleasure of having Rona work on me twice. The first time she did my makeup for my wedding 8 years ago. She was fantastic! I don't usually use a lot of makeup, so I didn't want anything that looked unnatural. She made me look so good! It wasn't too cakey and I still looked like myself. Rona is pretty friendly. She did an excellent job on the trial. But really fell short at the wedding. A few days before the wedding, she was unresponsive on text. I was pretty worried. But she did show up for my wedding makeup. She was talking about her sick family members while doing my hair and makeup. And it was really sad. I guess she was depressed. Also she did a super quick job on my hair and makeup. At the trial, she took her time, and opened a lipstick that she said she would use for my wedding. It was a beautiful color. But for the wedding, she ended up using a cheap lipstick that had no pigment. She kept complimenting my cousin and did a way nicer job on her hair and makeup. Such a painLESS experience! Rona was recommended to us by a good family friend of ours. And I'm so glad we invested our time in her! Rona is amazing. From consultation to after-care she is helpful, understanding, and knowledgable. My mother-in-law recently expressed her desire to have her eyebrows microbladed. Like most people who want to pursue microblading, she was tired of having to fill/shape/do her eyebrows every morning. There are a lot of artists coming up and into the trend of microblading, but I didn't trust just anybody to do some REAL work on her face. During our consultation she made sure to ask the client what they wanted, input what she as the artist thought would be best, all while explaining the step-by-step process. She was very professional, but warm. She explained the tools, the process of microblading, the pain, the process to avoid pain, AND I should mention, that Rona did such a good job that my mother-in-law basically slept throughout the entire blading process. In addition, Rona keeps a very clean work space, and was so kind to even offer us beverages and a place for me to rest (bystander, lol) during the session. She made sure to check in with her client throughout the process and continued to explain what she was doing. She truly respects and obviously appreciates that her clients have entrusted her to work on their faces. She also showed up on time, actually a little early even, which I liked. Minuses - Despite all the bobbypins and hairspray she used, one of my curls fell out of place when we were on our way to the photoshoot. For example, I ordered a flower halo to go on the flower girl's head, however it poked her and she started crying. As a wedding gift, my best friend offered to pay for a professional to do my hair and makeup for my big day. I searched for months on the Internet and magazines to find an artist who can make me look flawless while still looking like myself. I found a handful of local vendors who had impressive websites with great before and after photographs, but when I spoke with them on the phone they were not very friendly or accommodating to my questions about their knowledge and services. When I found Rona and Luxe Image I knew I had found my artist. She blew me away by setting up an initial phone consultation just to answer my questions and tell me about herself. She had a vast amount of knowledge and showed she cares about her work because she does continuing education all the time to learn about new products and trends. She spent over 1 hour on the phone with me during that initial phone call and was so gracious and friendly even after me grilling her about her skills. I booked her immediately for my wedding day. The day of my hair and makeup trial was a little stressful because I am very controlling and a perfectionist. It was difficult for me to let go and let Rona do her job. She remained kind and accommodating to my requests and she even redid my hair so I could see it in another style. The day of my wedding came and Rona showed up at my venue a little early. She immediately went to work, which allowed me to relax and just enjoy getting ready with my closest friends.
