Came here since this was one of the few nail salon locations in FiDi!! They don't advertise it online or in their services menu in-store, but they do offer Gel X gel extensions which was what I was looking for. They managed to accomodate me since I gave them a 20 minutes heads up that I was heading over, my manicure turned out to be around $82 prior to tax and tip (the gel nails were around $70, and I got 4 stickers that were $3 each and totaled to $12) and I got a regular pedicure ($45) to go along with it. The Gel X set lasted a little over two weeks. Being a South Bay girl, I'm typically used to larger salons with more people and more "amenities". This was my first experience where they don't have a massage chair for you for your pedicure, but rather warm up water in a bucket and wash your feet in it in there. They don't have tables for you to have your nails done on, rather they put a pillow on your lap and the UV curing device on there. I respect the hustle, I'm not sure if this is typical of SF nail salons but the quality of the service impressed me. I was really impressed by the quality of the polish (all OPI) and the quantity of the swatches that they offer. I opted for a mermaid-esque shimmery polish with a pearly iridescent accent finger, since I've been seeing it all over Pinterest. I wanted a design, but I was a little pressed for time so I asked for some stickers to make my nails look a little cuter! They offered them in gold, silver, and a more shimmery rainbow color which I loved. I opted for the last choice, and I have no regrets. The ladies that work here are really sweet, I hadn't gotten my nails done in a while and I had a lovely experience here with them. read more

Fantastic service at reasonable prices! I came here for the first time to get a gel manicure ($45) with French tips ($10) and a regular pedicure ($35). Prices are reasonable for downtown San Francisco. My technician (I unfortunately didn't get her name!) was very kind and attentive. Her hands were careful, quick, gentle, and accurate. And I'm very satisfied with the results. My fingernails are quite stubby and short, but she still made a French manicure look good. She took extra care to perfect her work even though we bumped up past closing time (7:30pm). The entire service was about 75 minutes. Would definitely recommend, and will be coming back! read more

Upon first look luxe nails does not even really look like a nail salon but more like a small closet with some nail polishes. I however was in the area and in need of a coat of color for the holidays so I dropped by and decided to get a manicure. To my surprise the women there were very sweet and kind and took their time removing my old polish and painting my nails. They gave me a cuticle trim, hand massage, and hot towel wipe as well as applied lotion and cuticle oil once my nails were fully painted. They also had a heated fan to help dry my nails fast since I was in a hurry. The price for a regular manicure was also on par with most nail salons at $25. They take Venmo or credit card which is also nice. All in all I highly recommend checking out this small nail shop if you are looking to get great quality nails, and good service! read more

Tham was my nail tech and she was absolutely AMAZING! I'm definitely coming back for future pedis. I'm super picky about how salons do my cuticles, but love that they took care of mine properly here. I came here on my birthday and wanted a regular gel pedicure on my natural nails (no prior polish / gel) and Luxe Nails definitely delivered - it was only 30 minutes too including hot stone / lotion / drying! Prices are reasonable, but keep in mind they do not do nail extensions or acrylics of any kind, just natural nails. I made an appointment a few days in advance and unfortunately had to move it twice due to changes in my work schedule, but they were very gracious and understanding. You need to be buzzed in, and they have a small room in the back with about five total seats. As I was in my appointment, they had 4-5 different walk-in clients! My nails look great and I'm super happy with my experience. This place is definitely super popular and I'd highly recommend it. read more

I'm a little surprised by the amount of 5* ratings but it's what brought me in. The salon is kind of different in that you sit in a standard arm chair and put a pillow on your lap for them to do your nails rather than sit at a table. It's clean but definitely No frills. The "Luxe" apparently just refers to pricing. I set an appointment for a dips "fill" and they were able to get me in on the same day. Having nail dips for many years, I was aware of the "not a typical fill" process. Overly simplified, with a nail dip fill, they have to remove all product, clean, file, and replace with new dip product. That is standard. Upon arrival I was surprised to learn there would be an extra $10 charge in addition to the $58 service fee. In 30 years of having my nails done, I have never heard of such a thing. To be clear, this included only the standard process to have the dip product removed from my nails in order to replace with new dip product. The extra fee was apparently because I had not had my nails done previously at this salon. Apparently, if I were to return there would be no additional $10 charge. The weird thing is, the process is exactly the same. No extra work, no tips, no nothing. My nails look thick rather than natural and the left hand looks like it already needs a fill as she didn't dip down to the cuticle. Updated- it's been 3 days and nails are lifting. Reducing to 2 stars. Total Bummer. read more

Easy booking via Yelp! My appointment was the next day. I arrived early and they were able to take me in. Easy to find and was very welcoming. I came in for a gel manicure. I showed a color and they were able to match it. Quick and easy process and they did a good job. Three coats of gel with thin layers (which I love)! I took one star away because my cuticles looked nice the day of but started getting worse and worse the next day. I had to clean it up at home.
