Before scheduling, I read Yelp reviews about Tiffany and went to her Instagram page to check out her work. People seemed to have good results, so I went ahead and booked an appointment for a Diamond Glow. A few days before my appointment, she announced on her Instagram page that she was starting Korean Stem Cell facials, and from the description, it seemed to really target my main areas of concern. I ended up reaching out to Tiffany to change my service to that treatment instead and she was able to accommodate me. During the facial, Tiffany described what she was going to do before each step, and she asked what my preference was as far as pressure for the facial massage. A couple days after I saw her, she reached out to check on me, which was also a nice touch. The most important thing to me though was to see results, and I definitely did. My skin was glowing and looked very hydrated after my appointment. It wore off little by little as the day went on but was still noticeable the next morning. I did get some pimples after my facial. However, I was already starting to break out before my appointment as it was that time of the month, and I usually get a couple pimples after facials/extractions. There were a couple more than usual and bigger and redder too this time. I will say it has been a week since my appointment, and my skin has cleared up since then. (In the left pic those are the marks left after I messed with the pimples on my chin, two of which were there pre appointment. Don't do as I do!) After the appointment, I asked Tiffany for product recommendations. She kept it simple, just the basics of what I really needed, and kept my lifestyle in mind. Basically, she made it doable for me and so that my skin wouldn't freak out from the new products. I ended up purchasing a cleanser and sunscreen from her, and so far, they seem to be working out well. My skin seems brighter, and I can't help but think it's in part to the products I'm now using. Other items to note: parking was really easy on my visit. The two spots behind the building were open. It says something like "Belleza" on the reserved parking signs - you can park there! There was so much street parking out front as well. Also, the front of the building does not say Motiff Aesthetics. I forget what was on the sign but you're in the right place! There are other beauty providers who have rooms in that building too. In the past, when I would try other services besides just a custom facial, and try new products also, my skin would freak out, as in break out and stay broken out well beyond the purging period. It's obvious that she has a lot of loyal regular clients for all of her services and I noticed that she even has several male clients that get facials. Although my skin is in fairly good condition, I do have some pores that have congestion. I was a bit reluctant to try but since I trust Nancy and she's gotten great reviews, I decided to get a facial. I have no idea why I assumed only women got them but I did. Since it was my first time I asked Nancy to let me know what she was doing as she went along. Every step of the process, Nancy explained what she was doing and why. She even told me about the products she was using. I really enjoyed that and appreciated the extra effort. Not only does she take good care of your skin she adds a shoulder, neck and arm massage to really complete the overall experience. I couldn't believe how smooth my skin felt right after my facial but also for days to follow. It was very refreshing, relaxing and my pores were clear. The facial was definitely beyond my expectations so I was extremely pleased. I will definitely continue to get facials in addition to getting my regular massage therapy sessions. Nancy let me know she provides massage services as well. Despite expressing I'm happy with my massage therapist, she spent the entire appointment prying about him (location, experience, etc) in what seemed like an attempt to convince me she is better. Even when the subject changed, she repeatedly came back to it. 3) She prides herself on including a complimentary neck and upper back massage as a part of the facial (mentioned it to me on the phone and text). However, when I requested more pressure during the massage portion, she became defensive and said, "This is a facial, not a massage" and that I should schedule a massage if that's what I want. I did not feel like my muscles were massaged at all. If you're going to include a massage of your own accord, why be so defensive when the client makes a request regarding pressure? It was uncomfortable. 4) I got two dark spots on my face where Nancy did extractions. This has never happened before. I texted to ask about it and she insinuated it's because I'm Indian and Indian women tend to have hyperpigmentation in general... despite my saying I've never had this issue.
