My hair has been thinning with my age and Adil was very informative and easy to work with when I told him of my concerns of 2 cowlicks, a mullet and long sideburns that run wild with the slightest bit of wind. Adil gave me a cut that with his suggestion with a little volume spray and small round brush, I could definitely add the appearance of fullness. I have been following this place for the years since it opened and its rave reviews but somehow I never made it here as I was stuck in the rut of "State-Street-in -Media -only" hairdressing. There's approximately 11 salons on that street and small side streets so that is the area in Western Delaware County where everybody goes. State Street is the happening place to go to get your hair done. Chrome isn't within the downtown area per se but on the outskirts out by the Media bypass. And this is one of the reasons why I jumped out of my comfort zone and gave it a shot because they have their own parking lot and that's worth it's weight in gold instead of driving around for 10 minutes trying to find a parking spot in busy Downtown Media. That's where the differences end. This salon is just as active, vibrant ,upbeat and in tune with current styles and products as all those overpriced State Street salons. I tend to only want to stay with hairdressers for about five years so I was looking for somebody new and I selected SHERI M. I was not disappointed. She spent her time looking at my hair and the suggestions she had were great. This was indicative of her vast experience as a hairdresser. She has a true "feel "for her clients. The first time I went she cut my hair and I was very happy with it so I scheduled a foil touchup three weeks later. I was beyond happy with how I looked after I left there. When she found that I sometimes like to go to bed with my hair damp because it comes out wavy and curly in the morning, she suggested a product to put in before bedtime that would keep the curls intact but eliminate the frizz that has seemed to have developed in my hair in the last year. I love that this is a family owned and run salon. I hadn't met the owners but I met a man there recently who was doing shampooing who was somehow related to the family and he gave me the history of how Chrome came about. It was also interesting to hear that they had recently started their own hairdressing Academy. All in all you'll get a great feel for Chrome and enjoy your experience there. And inside it is SPACIOUS, with numerous different rooms... which means they are set-up really well for distancing. (I was impressed.) The one thing to be careful about is your exit. If you need to make a left turn across Baltimore Pike and if traffic is busy, I recommend you go right instead and do a u-turn at the first traffic light. (Much easier and safer.) (I go to Chrome for Mag. I'm a fan of hers. She's good at cutting curly/wild hair.)

On the day of service, was told the single color processing pretty much means root touch up because Groupon doesn't allow them to put "root touch up". (I've seen other salons use root touch up on Groupon) The value of the package I purchased is $125. Which includes single process color regular price per their website. They want to up-charge additional $60 in addition to the groupon. When I asked why they said they're not getting the money because it's Groupon? I had no warning when making the appt over the phone. My hair length is literally pass my shoulder it's not even that long. Since I drove so far to come here, I decided to just stick to this and accept the up charge. My colorist comes by and tries her best to help me. I had several questions and she got tired of answering them so she went to the back to call her boss who left for the day to dismiss me. I'm sorry I had questions. I even agreed to get robbed by the up charge price and in the end was sent out the door because "they can't help me" Never been treated this way at any salon Groupon or no Groupon. I've had colored hair for the last 20 years and never had a colorist give me such a hard time and most importantly being dismissive. Customer service here is as sourer as their lemonade. Will never return.

No more than an hour. I am used to a haircut taking 1.5 - 2 hrs but also I was paying about half as much. I like to think I am not too picky about my hair. A change literally and figuratively every now and then is nice though. The staff here are really nice. The guy there at the time was apologizing about some bottle situation and he thought I took it that he was apologizing to me. I was too tired to respond because of my exhausting day but he was real cool too. The same guy had cool hair colors and a matching shirt. I forgot to comment on it but it was very stylish and authentic feeling. They started doing a Brazilian hair process (Balayaga) but I think only one guy can do that process. I didn't feel that process would be something that would suit me well but it is cool that they offer it. Parking has a few spaces in the back and some in the front but the front ones back onto the main street which is annoying. Credit card payments can't include tip which is slightly inconvenient on customer's end but easier on the staff The front entrance is at the main road but they were nice enough to let me through the back.

I went in for a consultation two weeks before my actual appointment the stylist appeared knowledgeable but my results were less than desirable. I can say well after my appointment the dye job was perfect it has lasted longer than most applications. However, I showed a photo of the style I desired and I understand upfront my hair texture may not be the same as the person in the photo. But when you're chopping off your hair the cut should be close to the photo. It was a 'good' cut but, the thinning area on my sides were not considered when 'fading'. During my initial consultation the stylist said washing my hair will help to see the curl pattern it will help determine if I need twist or product for the desired look. None of that happened! My experience is really hard to explain I didn't get what I asked for but I was able to come home and work it out for myself. In the end I got a decent haircut and a good dye job so it wasn't a total bust. Would I go back or suggest this salon of 'natural hair care'? NOPE!

I appreciated them doing this for safety during this pandemic. Masks were worn and my temperature was also taken. Cortney did my brows and I think they came out looking great. I didn't even have to tell her to just do a soft arch and not overpluck them. I think she did one of the best jobs I have seen in years on these brows. I really can't overstate enough how frustrating it is how some of these salons just immediately go to taking off too much of my brow.
