I was on a two day work trip and didn't bring a thick jacket and San Francisco had a very cold day (locals were telling me it was colder than usual) and I only had five minutes to find a jacket. The Hermès experience is as much about the journey as it is about the destination. Do... ask for your purchases to be placed in a nondescript white shopping bag. It's simply a safer way to carry your purchases. As "non-flashy" as Hermès may be, walking down the street with that unmistakable orange bag can attract unwanted attention. Don't... purchase things you neither need nor love simply because you hope they will help you obtain a quota bag. Don't... take Instagram selfies inside the boutique, particularly with bags you haven't purchased. Don't... buy with the intention of reselling. I've kept every single Hermès piece I've purchased and have never considered selling any of them, primarily because I genuinely love what I own. Keep in mind that you're not simply buying the Hermès name. You're investing in nearly two centuries of heritage, artistry, and a level of craftsmanship that is difficult to rival. Take the time to examine and feel the handbags--the leather, the construction, the details, and the extraordinary care that goes into each piece. We were lucky/destined to meet our SA. We have never felt pressured to buy anything that we don't need or want. We've never had to chase a quota. We can honestly say, shopping here is enjoyable and fun. When we had an unfortunate incident last year, our SA came through and brought us some joy. This is our favorite Hermes boutique and we keep coming back.
