The bad reviews of Auto Luxury Max are all true. the good reviews must be family and friends. The $499 inspection charge is a farse. The vehicle I purchased was not inspected but yet I was still charged the $499. Got the vehicle home, the next day it would not start. I had to get a jump. before I could get a jump, I had to purchase replacement parts because the hood would not stay up. So how did they do an inspection on the car if the hood was broken? Exactly!! Because they didn't do an inspection. If the inspection was done, they would have known the battery had low voltage and the hood needed replacement parts! Called Jason, he would not answer, I went back to the car lot to have his employee call, of course he answered for him. Jason assured me he would look into the battery situation and get me another one. I have not heard back from him. I'm not letting this go!!!! Do yourself a favor save yourself a headache and find someplace else to purchase your vehicle. I do not recommend 0/10. Definition of a dealer strictly for the profit. Added $316 for "title and registration" that entailed him mailing me priority mail envelope the title signed over to me and a 90 day temp tag. I still have to go pay to register the truck into my name... When asked about it, because all dealers I have ever dealt with would just register the car automatically, he said "it's the price of business." Don't know how he is still in business. $500 "used car inspection" fee. No paperwork or any information to support this. Astronomical dollar amount on this fee. Highly doubtful any inspection was ever done. Lied about cause of airbag light on in the vehicle I purchased. Paid $306 title and registration fee, signed over power of attorney for my state, did everything needed for the dealer to take care of the title transfer. Then after being delinquent by more than month the dealer decided to send the title to me instead of the state and kept my $306. So I was then responsible for the cost of titling and registering the vehicle. Jason, the owner, was very responsive prior to my demand for a refund, but as soon as that came up he quit responding to calls or texts. Nothing but lies and bs from this guy. If I could give a 0 I would. Do not buy from this man. He is a scam, he is a liar and not trustworthy. Told me the van was in great condition, only thing wrong with it was the *small* paint blemish on the top of the car...by small I thought maybe the size of a quarter, it was quite large and all the photos that were sent avoided how big it actually was (my bad for not asking specifically to see the area, I was trusting and shouldn't have been). The vans automatic door was busted, needed a cv joint, new tires, engine misfires...it's literally garbage and I was told it was in perfect condition to go. HAAAAA. Currently in the process of getting rid of the vehicle. Do not buy from. He offered for me to drive 3.5 hours down there for his mechanic to fix the door...no thank you... I was told everything worked...I shouldn't have had to do that, I wanted to be reimbursed for my mechanic to fix it and that wasn't an option for Jason. And to add, I literally didn't trust this man or anyone who had anything to do with him so he was literally the last person I wanted to touch the vehicle. I went to check out a Denali looked beautiful in pictures but when I arrived it looked nothing like the pictures, had a horrible engine knock. Very poor use of professionalism at this dealership. They do absolutely everything in their power to keep you from walking out in your own free will. I did not feel comfortable or even welcome when I walked into the lot. When I asked questions, the sales person answered in a very condescending tone, I think it may have had to do with me NOT being Arabic. I honestly do not understand why I was treated so poorly when I clearly was interested in purchasing a Subaru. He had the car listed for a price we had already talked about & THE DAY I WENT TO GET FINANCING FOR IT - he upped the price $2,000 knowing I really wanted the car and I was young so he knew I would throw him the extra money to buy it. Absolute scum bag. His 'reasoning' for upping the price was because "the car is more rare than we thought". I get the car delivered across states & it's a total nightmare. Jaguar came with the front driver seat not working (control module on side of seat broken) which he did not mention, a missing matching red XFR floor mat, A FLAT LEFT REAR TIRE, all four tires nonmatching && a restricted performance light that would come on if the car was even remotely driven with some intent to have fun. It's now November of 2021 and this car has costed me over $9k FOR MY ENGINE HAVING A BROKEN PISTON. I've called him countless of times and he would say he would do something about it, but never did so I gave up. Biggest piece of crap out there and will totally take advantage of you if you buy out of state to have it delivered. My attorneys have gotten involved with his company so I'm trying to save anyone reading this the money, headache and most importantly TIME he will steal from you before its too late. A car was purchased from him by a family member and they had a disagreement about the terms of the deal. I had to call the police and file an Assault complaint because he threatened to come to my home and get his money and the car by whatever means necessary. This is a very dangerous person!!! Please be careful, he will start the conversation in a very pleasant but will go from 0-100 in 30 seconds!!! After walking the lot for a few minutes I was finally greeted I requested pricing and information on a particular car he didn't have the answers for he proceeds inside and never came back after over 10 minute standing outside I left. I came back that day with my wife who was the potential car buyer after walking the lot with no assistance we walked inside to receive answers to questions the sales men were at their desk eating salads and would not stop eating to have a reasonable conversation. When asked questions about the cars I was directed to look at a computer screen. My wife and I felt disrespectfully ignored in their way of handling business and would not recommend anybody to spend their money with that type of service. read more

I purchased a vehicle from them in 2016 and purchased a gap insurance also. I paid the truck off in 2018 of August and was due a refund from Luxury Automax I didn't receive my refund until February 2019. I kept getting the runarounds about they didn't know the amount of the refund to pay out to me when they received a gap insurance letter from the company giving the amount that was due back to the customer... this was very unprofessional and not very businesslike. Nah, the best part about going to AutoMaxx was looking at the shaply young lady, Monica. These guys are a bit shady. 2005 Audi A8L started stopping on me in mid traffic not even a month after. I gave them a call, they tell me to bring it in... I live an hour away, seriously? They obviously DO NOT have the proper equipment to check the systems on the vehicles they shop at auction or wherever they get their vehicles from. Terrible, I have an old Benz from Ron's Auto in Maywood that's never failed me. They tell me they'll do the work but i had to buy the part... No, NOT EVEN A MONTH AFTERWARDS IT BREAKS DOWN! I had been pre-approved for financing through an outside finance company which they verified; I test drove the car on a Thursday, liked it a lot, so decided to leave a $1,500 deposit to hold the car; I filled out some preliminary paperwork @ the dealership and was to go finalize the loan with the finance company that following Tuesday; I was told on several occasions "don't worry, the car is yours", so I thought it was pretty much a done deal. I even spoke with Jimmy (my salesman) on Saturday morning to discuss our plans to go and finalize the loan on Tuesday, he said he was aware because he had already spoken to the finance co; again was told not to worry, the car is yours....everything seemed to be going as planned, that was until I received a call from Jimmy on Monday morning telling me that one of his other salesmen had sold the vehicle to another customer! I could believe that sold the car right from under me even though I had left a substantial deposit, filled out paperwork & Jimmy gave me his word (which obviously means nothing) that the car was mine. I could go on & on about this horrible experience, but I'll just end this review by saying this has got to be THE worst experience I've had with a dealership and would never refer anyone to them , not even my worst enemy. Max was the salesperson we dealt with while buying our Range Rover. He was so helpful, funny and just a nice guy. Jimmy helped us with financing and totally went out of his way to get us to a number we were comfortable with. All the guys here made us feel at home in their office. They talked to us, we laughed and joked, they even offered us bottled water. My husband and I have bought a lot of cars and something so small as a bottle of water was just a nice touch. On April 21st 2017 I bought a BMW X5 from here. It took 4.5 hours for the sales person to get the deal in place and now we know why! They sold us a bogus car. We bought it on a Saturday knowing it had a crack front window but, we were assured by the Jason and the sales team this would be fixed by Tuesday. They put me in touch with their contracted repair man who had a difficult time speaking/understanding English to set up an appointment. The repair man over the course of 4 days changed his availability, location and time. I called the dealer several times to make arrangements and their only resolve from the repairman and dealer was to have us come back to the dealer and have it installed on site. The repairman said he would be there Saturday so we drove from the city back to Orland/Tinley to get it fixed. The sales team didn't schedule a time and the jersey shore looking salesman who sold me the car and made all the promises in the world when we bought it had the nerve to have an attitude with me! Of course, now we were livid that they asked us if we could wait until 4 PM to get it fixed and it was 1:30 PM! They didn't schedule a time with the man, the salesperson told me I should have called the man to see what time he could come and fix it. He was yelling with me and going back and forth and the reality of it is... it's NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY to do your job! You made the deal and the promise to get it done, now the car is sold and you want me to figure it out. Fast forward a month later, the car is showing low oil and I take it for an oil change and they say there may be an oil leak! The leak goes away and fast forward another month we bring it back to Luxury Auto because the water pump is out. That's $1300. They negotiate with us to fix it, and so we do! Now not even a month after that. The alternator goes out, so we get that fixed. They find the leak, fix that along with a battery and brakes! Suddenly a few months later the car had some random malfunction. We take it to a BMW specialist pay another $2000 then they basically say the belt came off and became absorbed into the engine and the car is now completely DEAD! My finance company is floored, the owner agreed to take it to be inspected only to tell us it would be $7000 to replace the engine. I drove the car for a total of 4 months! It's been in and out of the shop for an entire year! They knew this car had severe issues. I could have bought a car anywhere, and NEXT TIME and there will be a next time... I purchased a vehicle here 8 months ago.. was told (from the owner) that I didn't need an extended warranty because it was a waste of my money and that they inspect there cars very well... I am so glad I followed my instincts and purchased the warranty! The "check engine light" came on and the car was smoking due to a leak from the coolant ONLY 8 months after the purchase! I am so disgusted with this purchase due to the fact that when I called to speak to someone at the dealership " the owner" and his wife I was told that their mechanic quit and that the don't know when they will have another mechanic hired! Really ? Unacceptable! Luckily for me I have the extended warranty so I can take my vehicle to a reputable jaguar dealership and have it diagnosed and the repairs will be fixed. I ditched my job's workshop afternoon session at the Tinley convention to go look for a car at Automax! Maxey was amazing at trying to locate the perfect vehicle for me and I'm not easy to please at all! A truck came in and I knew that was the one for me! Although an used truck, it was clean with only one owner and maintained by dealer! Maxey made me feel comfortable and did not rush me to make a decision! I told him what I wanted to do and he stuck to my wishes! I decided to come back the next day and wanted to start the process of buying the truck! Everyone was so nice and inviting including the mechanic and the porters! Jimmie the guy over finance was able to secure a great loan for me. He also threw in the cost of a part for my truck. That was totally cool! They fed me and kept me laughing all while I was there! I was also given some great advice from their father too! I called him Pops!
