As a person who doesn't get her nails done very often, I decided to get a gel manicure in preparation for a friend's wedding. After securing a friend's recommendation for Viva Nails, I called to make an appointment which wasn't as easy as I'd hoped. The call ended with, "just show up at 10am tomorrow morning." Promptly at 10am, I'm in front of the locked door until I can get someone's attention. When the staff unlocked the door, she asked if I had an appointment. After telling her that I had a 10am appointment, she said she didn't see my name. After a few minutes, she must have remembered me calling and asked me to take a seat and handed me the gel nail colors to choose from. After Tiffany helped me choose a color, she went right to work and I was done in no time. When I told her that I was surprised that the UV light didn't burn, she looked at me funny and said that must have been a long time ago. She's right. I'm happy with the work and will return before the next millenium. Payment can be made via cash or Venmo otherwise there is an extra charge for credit card. Additionally, the tip is a separate transaction. I wish I knew this ahead of time. read more

I went and had a new set put on, within a week one broke off. So I decided to go in and have all the others taken off, which they charged me $15. just now New Jackie did a terrible job on my toes and she has a very bad attitude. She hurt my heels and made them sore and bleed.She is Totally in the wrong field. I've been here twice. Once in the summer and once in the winter. 1. In the summer, instead of AC the owner runs giant, loud commercial fans which offer poor cooling. It was so hot I actually left with my feet in the tub for only 2 minutes. 2. In the winter, there is no heat and no circulation in the room. It is so stuffy yet cold. I asked to open the door a bit because I was getting light-headed from the fumes. The woman was very nice about it. Definitely not my go to spot. My mom came here long ago and hasn't been back until today. If you want overpriced dip powder with extra attitude where the ladies probably talk shit about you, this is the place for you. Two -stars just for Mindy. She was patient and kind to my mom. A bit of a language barrier but we got through it. Apparently dip powder around is here is far the most expensive around and I've price shopped too. I asked Mindy to sanitize all her instruments prior to cutting my moms nail and she didn't quite understand that, so this other lady came whose apron had the name "Yvonne" came and raised her voice telling Mindy exactly what i needed and literally shoved the sanitizing solution towards Mindy, looked at me and my mom and shook her head and rolled her eyes. She tried to tell me they they always clean their stuff, I'm sure they do, however, I still need to see it. Everything after that was done/said in such a rude and unprofessional manner. Honestly, for the price I'm paying, quite frankly, you can be a little more cordial to your guests. I also wanted to get my nails done, but I'm going to pass. This place is in the same plaza as Trader Joe's, Ross, Carter's and a bunch of other places. Parking can get crazy but it isn't too bad. Scammers , cheats people I would not recommend this place for facials. I visited for an $80 facial advertised as a 'European facial.' Once in the room, I noticed there was no steaming machine, which I assumed would be brought in later. To my surprise, there wasn't even space for the staff to move around comfortably. The treatment began without steaming; the esthetician applied something to my face, extracted blackheads, and then used vitamin E oil, followed by a mask. The entire process felt rushed and incomplete. I was deeply disappointed and felt that my time and money were wasted. Owner is just out for the money. I wanted a regular manicure and pedicure. She then approached me asking why I didn't want to do gel then insisted I get the $55 pedicure. She told me they would get all of the dead skin off of my feet which they didn't. Then as my nail lady was starting to paint my other foot (first one was done) the owner told me that the lady doing my feet did gel instead of regular (I told the owner directly I wanted regular- I know this because she tried to convince me to get gel after I said no 3 times) so the owner then says "no worries I'll just charge $10 extra and we will be good" I said "no I didn't want gel" So the owner then tells my nail lady to take off the whole thing. It is 7pm at this point. My nail lady literally takes off the whole set and restarts. All over a mistake the owner made which then caused me to be late to my event. I contemplated not going in but decided to do so since I had paid $130 for a service that should last longer than 24hrs. To be honest I paid the most I've ever paid for my dip-powder manicure ($50 which is their highest price out of all the types) and they 1) did not soak my cuticles before clipping them 2) said that powder dipped nails doesn't come with a hand massage. After TWO days they started failing/chipping. Guarantee is only one week vs the normal two weeks. Have tried to come in for the repairs but twice now they want me to wait 30 minutes. Also on a super hot day the A/C wasn't on. They overheard me say "they need A/C in here" and to their credit promptly turned it on. But it should have been on to begin with.
