I've come to get both manicures and pedicures here many times, and have watched he quality decline with each visit. Number one, they charge way more for their services and leave you asking why? I made an appointment for a pedicure and manicure. The pedicure was first, my chair was incredibly uncomfortable and the man who did my pedicure was awful. I could tell he didn't want to be there, he physically hurt me during the massage of my shins (to the point where i know I'll have bruises) and the pedicure itself was an actual mess that required him to use nail polish remover basically all over my toes. I could have painted them better myself. Then, when it was time for a manicure despite having an appointment I was told they don't have enough time now to do my manicure. To their credit they offered me a 5% off coupon and an apology, but that's basically $1.50 off the price and not enough for me to ever come back to this place. I'm so sad to see this place go, but on to the next nail salon I suppose. Service was going great until the end where the lady doing my pedicure started helping another customer without saying anything. As I sat there confused I noticed my toes could have used another layer of polish and I don't think she put a top coat on. After 25 minutes of wondering if she was coming back, the male technician asked me if everything was ok. I mentioned the issue and she came back and I had to show her. She addressed the concerns and I was pretty happy. When I visit family I always get my nails done with my best friend here. She warned me it started going downhill. Amazing. Really. Came in tonight at six and was done in about 35 minutes after getting a gel fill and color change. The gentleman helped me and shaped my nails beautifully. He was polite and mildy talkative. They are all very precise (I watched my friend get her nails done by someone else tonight) and really want to give their customers what they ask for. This was probably the worst nail salon experience of my life (and I've been to several over the years). My boyfriend was trying to do me a favor by treating me to what was supposed to be a nice, relaxing hour or so at the salon as a sweet gesture. But unbeknownst to both of us (given how many positive reviews there are of this place, for some reason) the issues I had were: 1) It was a small, cramped, stressful space that felt like everyone was on top of each other. I was borderline claustrophobic with how compact the place was. 2) The gal in the front appeared to be very flustered and stressed for no apparent reason, which made ME feel those things too as I was only a few feet away from her with the spot I was placed in. It was full and somewhat busy, yes, but it wasn't chaotic. Also, I think she had some sort of Bluetooth device in her ear that made communicating with her very difficult immediately upon entering because I didn't know when she was talking to me, the person in her ear, or the technicians behind her. Which, by the way, I found to be very unprofessional when she did have moments of hollering at her coworkers for upcoming clients, prices, etc. during my time there. 3) The chair I sat in for over an hour as I was getting my toes and nails done was extremely uncomfortable. I was physically uncomfortable almost the entire time and, at several moments, was tempted to stop mid-session because of it. 4) The guy doing my fingernails must've been new or something because he had to redo my nails several times when all I wanted was a simple gel manicure. It's not so much the fact that he had to redo it so many times but that he didn't communicate to me what the issue was that was what bothered me. (I will say that the gal that did my toenails was great, though! Didn't catch her name but yeah) 5) THE PRICE WAS OUTRAGEOUS. $80 (plus tip) for a plain, black gel mani-pedi?! I just don't see how that added up when the pedicure I chose was $36 and the manicure, I had no idea....maybe the small flute of wine wasn't complimentary after all or something? If the latter is the case, that should probably be specified from the get-go so as not to deceive customers. Otherwise, these prices are just a straight up rip-off. Instead of feeling refreshed, relaxed, and pampered, I left this place feeling extremely anxious, stressed, and frustrated, and I most certainly will not be coming back. So disappointing. read more

I went to get a pedicure today and I was not impressed at all... 1- the girl who did my pedicure, sped through the whole thing, she was rough and got up, walked away in the middle of the procedure for about 5 minutes twice without saying a word... 2- the girl pushed me to do the cheaper pedicure even though I wanted the deluxe 3- the girl left lotion on my legs and barley massaged them. 4- they over charged me by 5 dollars, pedicure $27 + callus removal $7 + gel $15= $49 but charged me $54. 5- I even left and got cash for the girl to tip her even though I was contemplating doing so but I thought in good faith I would go back. Ok. I just got back and have to say that they are super duper nice! No rude chatter or comments about me having no clue what I wanted and changing my mind a couple times. Really fantastic basic French manicure. But I can't reconcile the price...and it's upsetting. Online it says $13 and mentions a hot oil massage but I didn't get a hot oil massage and I was charged $21.50. I did get a single line of silver so maybe they up charged for nail art, though it was not "art" and they didn't tell me about an up charge. I'm okay with being charged for the line, but an additional $8.50 doesn't make sense to me. Especially since I didn't get the hot oil massage described in their services list. I'd go back again because they really were kind, but I'll definitely make sure to be more vocal about confirming prices before I take any advice about what to have done. Edit: I suppose I should say I'm no nail salon expert, but Ive never been charged for having French as my color option. Even as it were, I'm fine with it but it definitely should have been disclosed. Let's just start with the fact that that nobody in there seems to be happy about working there. I've been dying to get a pedicure for the last three or four months but I've been trying to save money. So today when I decided to treat myself my favorite nail salon was booked so I thought I would stop in to one. I had been disappointed with in the past, but thought I'd give them a second shot. Big mistake, I just feel but if you don't like your job, please try to at least find another one if not make the best of what you have. The customer service representative upfront wasn't there. She was in the back folding towels. She's worked there for quite some time because I recognized her, and as usual, seems to be hating life. When I asked if someone was available for a pedicure immediately, someone said yes, I have a seat. She then yelled to the back room in her native language, and that person came out of the room looking quite bummed that she was going to have to be working. This is where I thought twice about even continuing, walking another step into the salon, but I didn't. I stayed. No matter how many smiles I gave to the girl I've never got one back as a matter fact, she might as well have rolled her eyes at me. I asked her to repair my large toenail and I had no idea whether she understood me or not she then went off to grab the tools she needed to do what I had asked her, but I had no idea if she even had a clue as to what I asked her. Long story short in the end, my toes look fine, but as usual, over the last five years, there is not one nail salon that I have found that gives a decent leg massage or acts like they care to be at their job only at the very end she gave me plenty of smiles and asked me if I like the color of course her desperately hoping to get a tip. $43 later and a five dollar tip because of the special nail repair that she did end up doing although lumpy I'm not unaware of the service industry because I am in it myself. Tips are important and the only thing I can say is there is a guarantee it will not re-enter that place when I was leaving, she asked me to use Zelle or Venmo to tip. Prior to leaving I looked at the CSR and I said do you know it wouldn't hurt you to smile I'm sure you have a beautiful smile she gave me the smallest of grin, and then immediately went right back to a frown. I don't know what's going on in that salon but I do know that they are unhappy and the vibe sucked and I will never return. Oh, sidenote, my chair didn't even work so I didn't get to use these what look like the high-end salon, pedicure chairs functions, and after having to low back surgeries and a neck surgery it would've been nice to be able to enjoy that but she just said it didn't work. She got up to try to plug it in. I don't know what happened there, it just never happened. Fully disappointed the only positive thing I can say about the whole entire visit as she was very quick, so I got out of there as quickly as I could and under an hour. Thank God couldn't wait to get home to a more positive environment. read more

After getting my nails done at another shop that was reviewed with five stars and having a negative experience, I was looking for a place in the area that could take care of me. Given that Luxury Nails was rated so highly, I thought I'd give them a try and I'm so glad I did! Nicole has taken wonderful care of me each time I have been in. I have pink and white acrylics and she does a beautiful job. This time we used glitter whites and I asked if she could do a design. Not only did she do a wonderful job with the fills it she did the design in my fingers by hand and not using a stamp like so many other places do. I'll post a pic if I can. I go in every 2 weeks to see Mai; however, my gel mani's usually last about 3-4 weeks (but I like changing it up every few weeks!). Not relaxing to have two different people working on you at one time. Manicurist I had when I moved foot because it tickled when she used police on foot she slapped my foot. After she was done squated down next to my daughter's manicures and continued to talk in Vietnamese and laugh while daughter was getting pedicure. Pedicure was not worth the money. For way over $130 not worth it. Will never go back. Daughter's manicurist filed a nail so bad that she had to add acrilic to that nail which before was a nice legit for her gel manicure. You can tell the ladies all take their job seriously I got a full set acrylic nails by Mimi. And let me just say she's amazing. She took her time to make sure they were all even. And made sure the acrylic was laid perfectly around the cuticles. She was gentle with the electric nail file. (Those hurt a lot if they are too close to the cuticles). My nails came out beautiful. **Thank you fellow Yelpers for this find!** I decided to get my nails done to avoid the 15 S traffic on a Friday. The shop was pretty busy but it was so quite and peaceful. They took me right away! They have lots of colors to choose from-I actually couldn't pick!! My gel manicure took about 45 minutes completed with a full arm massage! I paid $28 for a gel manicure and I WILL return! I had to teach the girl how to paint two colors on one nail, which she still did wrong bevause she kept forgetting to clean the brush between colors. she kept forgetting to push the button on the uv light shellac drying thing so I just had to press it myself every time. I went here before and they did a good job on a full-set, but recently I went in for a pedicure that ended up in a visit to the podiatrist the next day due to an infection. According to my doctor the tools they used were not sterile and unless they use plastic liners for their tubs its not clean either, unfortunately unsterile tools and no plastic liners were used during my visit. Hi Loann, Yes during my visit it was a bit red and swollen, the technician said it will go down so I didn't pay much attention to it. But the same night it felt bruised, became even more swollen and later had pus. The next morning I went to the dr and now my toe is bandaged and I am taking antibiotics.
