Let me tell you, the stars, the moons, the cosmic energy all aligned the day I found this place. Their customer service is 10 out of 10 from the front to the back and all staff in between. I was even impressed with the level of professionalism within the staff, how they communicate amongst themselves. The doctor, oh he was SO NICE and I love the way he took his time to explain my treatment plan thoroughly. At Natomas Crossing Dental, they have enough doctors on site that they are not rushing and you are not waiting a long time. The moment I walked in, I was overwhelmed by an extremely strong fragrance. I have extreme allergies/sensitivity to strong fragrances from chemotherapy and immediately started coughing, became very nauseous, and developed a major headache. I actually had to wait in my car because I was getting so sick, and the staff seemed unsure what to do. Once brought back, I waited forever. The treatment areas are open bays with no doors, so you can hear and see everything. I'm a private person, especially with medical-related care, so this was uncomfortable. Staff also kept lingering outside the doorway watching me, which felt odd. I think they had new people maybe in training observing...it was uncomfortable. At 45 minutes, we still hadn't really started. I had arranged for a dog sitter expecting about a 1.5-hour appointment, which has been typical for my dental visits for the past 15 years unless I'm having a major procedure. The hygienist finally started X-rays while we continued waiting for the dentist. When Dr. Lomen finally arrived, she explained she was the only dentist there and every room was full. The entire office felt rushed, tense, and chaotic--not a relaxing environment for someone with dental anxiety...and major chemo sensitivities. I should have mentioned this upfront but typically Dr office and Dental offices don't do fragrance as a rule because of the close contact and it's just not a good medical practice in general, considering most perfumes are toxic. So I'm trying hard to just go with the flow and keep calm and centered, while feeling extremely sick and anxious. Then they moved me to another room mid-appointment, closer to the front desk where the fragrance was even stronger. At that point I felt like I was going to throw up, but I was already over an hour into the appointment and treatment had started, so I didn't want to reschedule. Dr. Lomen was efficient and did a good job completing everything we planned, but the appointment took 3 hours. I have to return in three weeks for my permanent crown, and I'm hoping for a much smoother experience. The dental care was good, but the overall environment, privacy, strong fragrance, long wait, and chaotic atmosphere definitely need improvement.

I was told I had to have a root canal and they referred me to a place that charges $500 for the just consult alone which did not go towards the actual work itself. I didn't have any pain before I went there and now I experience pain regularly. Not only that but I was also told I needed other root canals. This was false information. I have since been to a much better/trustworthy dentist office that not only told me that I do NOT need additional root canals but they also had to fix a filling that was done by Lush within the timeframe given by insurance. Therefore I had to pay double to fix the work they did poorly due to not enough time passing. This place is a complete rip off, and I strongly discourage anyone from ever going here and having to experience what I did.
