I've been a customer of this salon until I found out today that Li and Vi no longer work or own the salon. First, I was lied to on the phone when I tried to reschedule my appointment (with Li) tomorrow morning to today. Elizabeth first told me that Li was "in Vietnam" and had been telling her "customers for two months" that she was going for a visit. Lie #1. Then I asked my friend (also a customer) to call and she got an entirely different story why Li and Vi were no longer working there. I went ahead and made an appointment with Jessica for this evening (not to mention I left work early to make the appointment). I walked in and the entire salon was full of faces I have never seen nor did I receive that "local Lakewood" family greeting. I work too hard for my money to not be told the truth of transition of previous owners I KNEW and LOVED to someone who wants warm bodies in their salon. I went here after looking at Yelp reviews, and i don't think I've ever had a better shellac manicure! I don't get them regularly, but typically don't love how they shape my nails and my cuticles always grow up with the shellac. Ly did my nails and I love the shape & nobody has been so meticulous about my cuticles before! 1 week later and they still look great! I also appreciate show she told me which shellac brands would last longer. I didn't ask, so I appreciated it. read more

I've been here before and I've had an excellent pedicure, but today was so much different. To start off, the energy of the place is not the same as before and the place is disorganized. My pedicure was rushed to the point were she did not let my feet soak enough before removing calluses or pushing back my cuticles. Then when pushing my cuticles, she did it a bit too hard it hurt and cut one of my toes. Massage was nothing special, seemed like she was just rubbing the rocks up and down. And the nail polish is already chipped after a few hours. I should've listened to my friend and gone somewhere else. Also there was a price increase. Me: Newly moved to Dallas and in desperate need for foot help. LV: Clean nail salon with newish massage chairs and decent reviews on Yelp. The experience (+5 stars): I tried texting through Yelp on a Monday to see about a same day appointment (without checking their days off) and even though Monday was their day off, Uyen was kind enough to call me at the end of the day with apologies and appointment for Tuesday afternoon. I decided to splurge and get the foot massage Silver package along with a gel pedicure. The massage chair was like every other massage chair I've done at a pedicure/salon and it requires you to adjust it to make it comfortable. Once I got the right angle it was great and the pedicure was very relaxing. My gel looks awesome and my tech took the time to be very detailed and get all that nasty dead skin off my nails and my heels (yes, I'm totally bad at self care) and my feet look like a million bucks. The hot stone massage was nice and helped relax all those sore places, but maybe not something I'd do every time. Critiques (-1 star): 1) It is on the pricier side, $68 for the gel and the massage; but I was looking to splurge, right? I did not check to see what a simple gel pedi would be. 2) It would help if the techs doing the pedicure could show clients how to work the massage chair if they haven't already made motions to. It's a little thing, but especially for those who don't get pedicures that often or have limited experience with the massage chair it might be a little intimidating to get the thing going. I also needed a moment to find the control and I was looking for it. Overall a wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to making this my home base salon in the future! read more

After visiting LV today for the first time, I came right home and wrote this. This is my new spot! L and her sister V are super sweet, gentle, and attentive. I got a gel mani and pedicure- couldn't believe they only charged me $63 total. Anywhere else in Dallas would've easily been $100 considering the time and attention to detail they took. I got a leg massage with my standard pedicure that was easily 10 minutes a leg- crazy. Overall, a great first experience and I would recommend to anyone in the Lakewood/Deep Ellum/Greenville area.
