Th environment is very clean & is up to date with the COVID-19 measures. It's a very busy nail salon only because everyone is hardworking & amazing here! They answer Yelp messages fast and are super helpful when you call. It was a large and clean place with lots of safety measures for COVID safety. I had an appointment Thursday at 5p for fill & pedi was told it was going to be a 30min wait, reschedule for Friday at 4 and still had to wait 40 mins before being seen... like what's the point of an appointment?! I was there for 3 hours for a pedi & fill. I am vacationing in Palm Desert for a few months. I've been to three different nail salons looking for someone as good as the woman who does my nails back home. I'm one of those strange people who gets a new set every week (full set with dipping powder) because I hate getting fills and I hate acrylic. I called LV Nails at noon on a Saturday and got an appointment for 2pm the same day. It's always a bit confusing explaining to a new person why I'm wanting to remove a week-old set of perfectly okay nails but here we are. Ryan filed and soaked my old set to remove them. He then proceeded to give me the most fabulous set of nails I've had since arriving in the desert. They are smooth, thin, and perfectly shaped. He did warn me that long nails with dipping powder break easily, which I understand. I think he was a little skeptical about making them as long as they are and truthfully I would prefer them to be even longer. He did put a layer of clear gel powder on top of the dip, which I've never had before but he said would make them less likely to break. This salon is busy. There was a steady stream of clients in and out during my 1.5 hour visit. All the employees I spoke with were friendly. They prefer cash payment but do accept cards. Overall, I'm so happy I found this place. I'll be back. read more

Tracy did my Cherry Blossom Pedicure today and it was spectacular! I needed to have fake nails applied to both of my great toes (due to prior injuries a long time ago) and she did a lovely job. I was so excited to get my nails done here since they do nail art & the other salon I go to doesn't, but I was practically in tears when I left yesterday. They were lumpy, uneven & honestly embarrassing. Jenny the nail tech was rude & so dismissive when I showed her a photo of a design I liked. She seemed annoyed by my actual presence & offered no suggestions on alternative designs to the one I'd wanted. Instead did this "ombré metallic"...? The person next to me getting her nails done even commented on how bad they turned out & said I should talk to the manager. I was looking forward to a girl day with mani/pedis for my 7 year old & myself but this experience left it on such a sour note. Went back today so the manager could fix this mess but even he wasn't helpful & hardly said a word until the end & I ended up w/ a standard light pink color. So I took my husband for Valentine's Day and we both had pedicures. Now mind you he's had many pedicures in his life but this said that it was the best one he's ever had. He also got a massage on his shoulders and a heating neck warmer. They spent extra time on him and cared for him wonderfully. I booked an appointment with Kevin. This was my second time going to him. But today he was very rude. He wanted me to get a full acrylic set but I didn't have the time so I guess that upset him. So I asked him to fix a couple of spots and then he told me to stop talking. I don't know one woman that wouldn't point out an issue with her nails. So I was shocked and appalled by his response. I asked him to repeat himself because I was confused to why would he treat a paying customer like this. I went about a month ago & I was so disappointed I got the dip nails w/Kevin on a Wednesday & he didn't put lotion or massage my hands/arms which is something I think we all look forward to; but that isn't my main complaint by Sunday my nails started to crack, literally there was about 4 cracks on 4 different nails, usually a dip is suppose to last longer about 3-4 weeks, gel usually lasts about 2 weeks this wasn't even a week & they charged me $45 + tip so definitely won't be returning. read more

I came in with a specific holiday Christmas design and scheme in mind from a photo I found on Pinterest.  Toby went ABOVE and BEYOND !! He gave me exactly what I wanted. He actually is new here ladies, he's been I. Palm Springs for a month, I am hoping he stays forever. He was very nice and was fun to talk to. It's very hard to find a good nail tech who will replicate a design you bring in and have it be SPOT on. Ive tried this place before because of the good brand dip Powder they use but the guy who did them before didn't seem to care or enjoy doing nails. Toby Cares about his work and is happy to put his name on it. I was very impressed with how he replicated the design I showed him.  I got dip Powder nails with a color scheme of red green and glittery white. He added two cute snowflake designs on  each hand. He added Gel coat on top of the dip which is totally worth it because it's so much prettier and shinier than the dip top coat.  Dip nails overlay over my natural nails is so amazing ! I did break one however from going to a place prior that used cheap dip and cracked literally days later.  They use very good brand name dip Powder here: -SNS -Kiara Sky  Their pricing is very fair and actually $5 cheaper than other places. I've been to a place that charges $45 for dip Powder. Here it's $30-35. I added some extra stuff for an additional fee but it was so worth it. If you just get the regular dip manicure for $30-35 you will be fine tho.  Thanks Again TOBY for my amazing holiday nails. Unfortunately the worst gel manicure I've ever had. As a disclaimer for this review, I think it's due to the specific nail technician I had, who seemed inexperienced and rushed through everything. Other girls I came with seemed to have a better experience. This is actually a pretty big salon, and they were able to accommodate a bridal party of 6 with appointments we made the day before. I should have known that it was going to be problematic when I sat down, and the male nail technician I had started filing away without even asking me what shape I preferred. Later, I learned that he didn't speak or understand any English. I was chatting with my friend next to me, so I didn't pay particularly close attention at first, but when he started painting the first coat, I realized that all my nails were pointed and jagged. This was unacceptable, and the nail technician at the next table could tell I wasn't pleased. She talked to him about it in Vietnamese, and then they assured me that he would refile them after he finished painting. I was doubtful, but fine. After he refilled them the second time, he rushed to lotion my hands. I asked him to pause so I could check, and my nails were awkwardly shaped, still not filed smoothly. At this point, Kathy, who was sitting next to us, helped to refile and shape my nails so that they're acceptable at least. Overall, I really appreciated her extra efforts in wanting to correct things, and I walked out feeling like my nails were decent. Unfortunately, she couldn't do anything to save how rushed my nail technician was in painting, resulting in totally uneven layers. Now, at the two week mark, my nails are already starting to lift from the base because of how unevenly it was done. I'm pretty careful with my nails and don't usually have issues with gels until at least the one month mark, when I start to get annoyed by the length. For me to want to remove them by 2 weeks is absolutely ridiculous and speaks to how poorly the manicure was done. He finished 2 gel manis in the time that most other technicians did 1 set - rushed and careless. I don't know his name, but avoid the male technician here who can't speak English. On the other hand, my friend loved Kathy, so I'd request her. My problem is that they should really train their new employees before allowing them to work on clients. My entire experience here was frustrating, from start to finish. read more

During a trip to Palm Springs, a few friends and I decided to get our nails done. I rarely ever pay for someone to do my nails, so when I do, I expect them to come out better than if I had done my own gel mani, which I do pretty often. We had made an appointment for 6 of us at the designated time, though upon arriving, they were packed with customers. They gave us all water bottles while we waited. I opted for a gel manicure. After a few minutes, I was seated at a table where I picked out a color. And then I proceeded to sit there for 35 minutes waiting for someone to come do my nails. Yes, I kept looking at the clock, and I'm not exaggerating. Why call me over when no one's even available? Finally when someone came over, they gave me the gel swatches to pick a color. Hello. Did that 35 minutes ago. When I told them the color I wanted, they brought the wrong color over. I'm glad I noticed before they actually painted it on my nails. The end result was pretty unfortunate. Superficially it looked fine, but I had some issues with the technique and application. The nail tech applied some coats very heavily, resulting in very thick gel coatings. Also, after wrapping my tips, my nail tech filed and reshaped my nails, filling off that protective edge. One week later, my gel nails were peeling off, probably the worst turnaround time I've ever had for salon done nails. I'm hoping my experience here was out of the ordinary, but service and quality were both disappointing for me. Probably won't be back. read more

I made an appointment a week prior regarding a manicure and pedicure. When I arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment I was surprised to find that they had no record of my appointment made. i've been going here for a few years and this has been an ongoing issue from the start, they overbook like crazy. i've always loved their work, and that's my dilema. i always leave satisfied but so upset. but this last time i went, they left me soaking my nails with acetone for 45 minutes. and when i asked for dip powder, they did it with a gel base polish for some reason, so i had to put my hand into the uv light after every coat which was so weird because i chose to do dip powder so i didn't have to put my hand under the light. it was an awful experience. read more
