Disappointing experience with their scheduling process…read more I had been seeing their ads on Facebook and reached out for an estimate to build a deck. During the initial call, I explained that we were ready to move forward soon, assuming we could agree on pricing. I also casually mentioned that my husband was currently on a work trip and that we would make a final decision within about a week. The scheduler responded by asking if we could postpone the estimate until all "homeowners" were available at home because there would otherwise be too much back-and-forth. I found this to be an odd requirement for a simple estimate appointment and said so. The response was that there would be "a lot of back and forth." That explanation didn't sit well with me. For a project worth tens of thousands of dollars, it felt unreasonable to suggest that an initial estimate couldn't proceed because one spouse was away. Whether intentional or not, the interaction came across as dismissive and left me feeling like they were unwilling to work with me directly during the early stages of the process. At that point, I asked them to end the call and not contact me again.

Simon was one of two contractors who offered bids within our budget. 2) Simon spent a full hour exploring the space and asking questions. All other bids completed only a cursory look of the space, and failed to notice details that needed consideration. Simon pointed out a lot of things that were important for us to understand before moving forward with the project. Simon also said that estimate would take a couple of days to fine tune (versus other contractors who seemed to just throw out a number). 3) Simon immediately came across as a person with integrity and good communication skills. Our experience with Simon and his team: 1) Impeccable communication throughout the process. No leaving us in the dark, and always responsive to our questions. Simon responds to texts and emails right away. 2) Consistent work schedule. Once the project started, his team was at the house for 10 hours daily, 5 to 6 days per week. No disappearing acts. 3) Excellent team - Incredibly skilled with attention to detail. The end result speaks for itself. Renovations with condos are more difficult, as HOA rules needs to be followed. We did not hear any complaints or need to talk to building manager at all. Yair took care of dealing with the HOA and his workers all followed the HOA rules. The project finished on time, and looks fantastic. Yair patiently explains what he is doing and why it is done that way. We really appreciated that transparency. Yair often said he wants us to feel comfortable with our home, and by the end of the project we believed that. As with any project, there were some minor issues and difficulties. Yair and Natali were very understanding of our problems and always helped fix the issues. It saved us a lot of stress and headaches knowing that we can count on Yair and Natali.
