I can't believe I've lived in Atlanta for almost 10 years and have just now tried Lyla Lila. It has soared to the top of my favorites list! My sister and I did the pasta tasting menu which I definitely recommend. The service was wonderful and the vibes were great. I'm still dreaming about the tiramisu. I will definitely be back!

I came on a Friday night for a friend's bday dinner. They don't accommodate large groups in the front room so we were in the back area which was less aesthetically pleasing but more intimate. The menu has a wide array of pasta dishes. They were sold out of a couple of dishes by the time of our late (10PM) reservation. I was between the ravioli and the duck lasagna. I went for the lasagna and it was a disappointment for me. It tasted a bit burnt and I could appreciate the duck flavor. The carrot garnish was also a bit flavorless. The other girls I dined with really enjoyed their dishes and the service was good so that's why I stop gave 4 stars. The cocktails were also good and reasonably priced. We ubered so I can't speak on parking but it's midtown/downtown so do with that what you will.

This is one of my favorite spots in Atlanta! I've come here about 5 times in the past 4 months, tried most of the menu and I have been disappointed by a single dish. Cocktails - I love the duckfat washed bourbon old fashioned. MVP's for food were the peach burrata (which is a summer special), the scallops, and the cod wrapped in zucchini. I also love the kale salad if you're looking for some greens. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu

Such a great dinner!!! The food is fresh and the chef is so creative with all the flavor profiles even down to the salads! We love that we could do a small portion of the pasta so that we could try a couple of them!

Ok ADORE. Elegant interior, incredible service, wide selection of dishes, beautiful drinks. Big fan! We began with the smoked scallops - perf light starter. They give you a good amount too. My main was the snapper in squash. It's a massive portion of fish, over a cream-based sauce and wrapped in a light layer of shaved squash. Would recommend both.

Great spot for a fun date night or to hang out with friends! Parking can be a nightmare if you don't have a go to deck/street to use since they don't really have designated parking (the two lots suggested on the site are pretty expensive). Ubering is also a pretty decent idea especially if there's an event at fox. The inside of the restaurant is super nice and deceptively large, with a few dining rooms. Our service was great too and everything came out very quickly. We started with the ciabatta bread with their homemade spiced butter. It was absolutely amazing and will definitely be getting it every time I go! We then had our own pasta tour with 4 plates of pasta since they can do 60% of most pasta dishes at 60% of the price. I think 3 would have been the perfect amount, but it was nice having more variety to try. 1. Wagyu beef truffle ravioli - the BEST! I loved their truffle sauce and the beef was super tender 2. Duck lasagna - super tasty and came with a side of carrots. 3. Squid ink pasta - usually not a fan but the one at Lyla Lila is so good! Loved the addition of nduja and garlic butter breadcrumbs. 4. Cavatelli - pretty disappointing and why Lyla doesn't get 5 stars for me. This was my fiances top choice when looking at the menu and he was sooo glad we ended up sharing pasta instead of getting our own haha I'll definitely be back to get the ravioli again and to try some of their other dishes!

Lyla Lila is a destination for tasty, creative Italian food. The restaurant's Midtown location has been open for five years. Chef-partner Craig Richards has a deep resume in food business, but this is his first as owner. Unlike many Italian restaurants, the décor of the two dining rooms is artsy and beautiful. We started with the Buffalo Mozzarella, that is served with squash, beets and black truffle vinaigrette. Yum! The Crispy Artichokes are shaped into roses, crunchy on the outside with a buttery center. It was sensational. Never had artichokes served that way. The menu, as expected is heavy on pasta, but they give you the option of a full serving or half portion (which is actually about 60% of the full). For entrees, I selected the multilayered Crispy Duck Lasagna, which is the #1 pasta order by Yelp reviewers. It was exquisite. But the highlights of our meal were Cappelletti Ravioli and the Cavatelli. Rich, authentic tastes. Save room for the desserts. We ordered the Meyer Lemon Cheesecake, Chocolate Mouse Cake and some Chocolate-Salted Caramel gelati. The desert course almost topped the entrees. The restaurant has an extensive wine selection, but also a full bar. Most of their liquors are small batch regional producers, so keep that in mind. Cecil, our server, has worked there for a year and was super helpful and attentive. Make sure to ask for him.

Their drinks are pretty good, we got three of them to start with. Love that you can do half size portions of the pasta so i got the duck lasagna and another dish. Pasta was pretty good, and for dessert I got the affogato which was sooo strong in a good way. Parking was hassle to find but that's just everywhere in this area.

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here. The vibe was so great! The bar was very cool and the atmosphere was very calm and inviting. Our waitress Emily took such great care of us. She gave us complementary champagne because it was our anniversary and we were so surprised! She was very informative and had great feedback about all of the dishes. We were unsure about what to order because everything sounded so yummy and Emily said we could do half portions! The food was absolutely insane. We ordered Wagyu ravioli, Duck Lasagna, Squid Ink Pasta, and Sweet Potato Ravioli and every dish was perfect. The drinks were amazing and dessert was fantastic as well. We cannot wait to come back

Not sure if I've been living under a rock but Lyla Lila is so under hyped. Not to sound extreme but this may have been the best pasta I've had ...in my life? Our experience from beginning to end was 10/10! We weren't particularly excited about any of the apps but pro tip: you can order any of the pasta dishes as an appetizer portion. We settled on the duck lasagna, wagyu ravioli, and the cavatelli. Words can't describe how delicious this meal was!! I was most excited about the duck lasagna but wow the wagyu ravioli and cavatelli are a must order!! The flavor of these are so unique and delicious. It's crazy bc the lasagna was so good you may think it can't get better this...but at Lyla Lila it does! The ambience is like sophisticated mid-century modern. Perfect for date night! The staff was also incredible! Lauren and Ashley were great but it was Justin who made our experience so memorable. He made us feel like family and stopped in to check on my friend and I and ended up finding out it was my birthday. He brought out a birthday tiramasu and I just felt so special. Wonderful from beginning to end - can't wait to come back!

Everything was amazing! 2nd time here! Chamblee remembered me from my first visit last month! Eric from CT & JJ were great serving my needs. Clientele are cool and kind. Here on business after a long election night and everyone here is leading with love. The food is on point. The people are kind, "real" and loving. If I lived closer I'd be here so much more frequently!! I tried the broccoli fennel salad and it was out of this world!

We dined at Lyla Lila for our anniversary. Jess our server was nice and attentive. We started with the Bread and the Mushrooms. Both were delicious and interesting, especially the lemon flavored butter for the bread. A cool thing the restaurant does is allow for smaller portions of all their pastas at a lesser price. We shared 4 smaller portions of pasta, including the Squid Ink Spaghetti, Ravioli Doppio, Pork Rib Ragu, and Cacio e Pepe. All were delicious but the standouts were definitely the Ravioli and Squid Ink Spaghetti. We were full but still decided to end the meal with the Tiramisu, which was perfect and generously portioned. This place is new favorite of ours and an excellent special date night spot.

I want to start by saying my 3 star review is for the food only. My cocktail and the service was a 5. I flew in from California today for work and was looking forward to a nice dinner after a long day. I was excited to try Lyla Lila after seeing it in the Michelin Guide and mentioned in some ATL Reddit threads. Unfortunately, I didn't like the food. The ambiance was warm and welcoming - I opted to sit at the bar. My bartender/server was friendly and the cocktail I ordered was great (not pictured, Fist of Fury). The mushrooms were ok, but I found the overall texture to be slimy/greasy rather than a nice meaty char that I was expecting from the menu's description. I ate most of them because I was hungry, but wouldn't order them again. I was most excited for the duck lasagna because of the menu description and other reviews. Unfortunately again, I fear it didn't live up to expectations. Overall it was under seasoned, and all I could really taste was the crusted cheese on the top layer. I was hoping for deep earthy notes from the duck and the cocoa béchamel, maybe a little bitterness - but it was all kind of flat. The carrot purée and salad were there to add contrast and brightness, but didn't quite do their job - under seasoned and needing a bit more acid. The carrot salad on the side was also tricky to eat because of the raw shaved preparation - maybe more of a slaw/julienne or a thicker slice or big cut roasted carrots would have been better. I mentioned to the bartender that I really didn't like the lasagna when I declined a to-go box and he generously took it off the bill. I was really grateful for that, and didn't expect it at all. I also declined dessert, which I normally order, because I didn't want to risk another flop. If I lived in the area I might give the restaurant another try because the service was so good, but on a short work trip I'm going to venture elsewhere.

She also clued us into the fact that you can get all of their entree pastas in appetizer size! This means we were able to try more pastas as well as enjoy an app and dessert. We ordered a bottle of Nero D'Avola, which was smooth and delicious. We got the meatballs as our appetizer, which were super tender and full of flavor. We split the rigatoni alla vodka, fettucine ai funghi, and tagliatelle bolognese. All were perfection. I loved the creaminess of the alla vodka, which had a kick of spice from the chili oil. I loved the herbiness and freshness of both the ai funghi with its sage and the bolognese with its rosemary. The tiramisu was the only dish that was just ok. I would much rather have espresso drenched ladyfingers than coffee liquor. But it was still good so I cannot complain. The waitress also surprised us with prosecco with a lemon rind twist to celebrate the fact that we had just closed on our first ever home. All in all - it was a perfect evening.

We did arrive here a bit early for our reservation but were seated right next to the open kitchen, so it felt quite crowded and cramped. It's a very, very small restaurant and it was freezing where we sat because we were under the vents. Our server, Mary Catherine, was a treat and she took good care of us. She took our drink orders, though I didn't drink tonight. For appetizers, we started with the calamari and stuffed clams. They also offered complementary bread and olive oil basket that was served warm, yum! Our food orders came out pretty fast actually. The calamari was not your typical fried calamari - it was delicious and loved the mix of raw onions in it for that fresh bite. I'm not a fan of clams so I didn't try this, but heard it was just breading and can't really taste the clam taste. For my entree, I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs. I had been dreaming about this since making the reservations and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was wonderful. I did think the meatballs were a tad too salty for my taste and I'm glad I opted out of the freshly grated parm because I feel like that would have made everything saltier. After our meal, they brought out free dessert for the birthday celebrants. Nothing but raves were said after our dinner here and we're definitely looking forward to coming back here again.

We were seated in the back which is still festive but brighter and less cozy. Like many mentioned, the waitstaff wasn't interested in making the experience memorable and wanted you in and out as fast as possible. The portion size of their $18 olive and pesto appetizer was appalling. Six olives (yes, six!), four slivers of cheese, three artichoke hearts, and a ramekin of delicious pesto. This feels like a tourist trap in a quaint neighborhood. We both got pasta entrees and they were good, but expensive considering no meat was included. The drinks were festive and actually felt like a good pour considering how expensive they are. 2 stars for that. We ended with the crème brûlée which was somehow over cooked and not creamy. I'm sure the owner will be aggressive about this honest review. To be fair, my sister loved the experience but she's hardly traveled and is delighted by mediocre things sometimes. I really wanted to love this place because we just moved to the area and I wanted to have this be our new cozy date night place. It won't be. But it worked! Since we had our son with us, they already had a high chair ready for us but he slept through the entire dinner, which also shows how peaceful it actually was in there. I opted for the blackberry fiz mocktail, which was super sweet at first, but with a good mix, it was super refreshing. For starters, we shared the eggplant balls (a must get here!) and the bread service. The eggplant balls were definitely shareable and were probably our favorite thing we ate. The bread service you could probably skip - we wish it was served with vinegar instead of just oil and an olive tapenade. For entrees, I ordered one of the dinner specials, grilled branzino served with broccolini and potatoes. My husband ordered the ravioli. I really enjoyed the branzino, it was tender and the skin was cooked crispy. I loved that the broccolini was charred enough, but wish the potatoes were cooked a bit more. The capers added the needed saltiness to the dish, though I wish this was served with lemon or something to balance out the flavors. My husband enjoyed his ravioli but found it too heavy with the cream sauce. We thought this was a decent place for dinner, but nothing really stood out besides the eggplant balls.

We did have dinner reservations at 6:30 pm and only a few tables were occupied, but the later the night had gone, more diners came, but still was not bustling full. They have valet parking (apparently was not available that night) and deck parking which they do validate 2 hours of it. We were at the restaurant for more than 2 hours, so we paid for the extra time. Our server (Lauren I think was her name) was decent that night, but we felt as if our drinks and food took a long time. As it was Christmas Eve, she gave us a few additional plates that we did not order for free that we thoroughly enjoyed. For starters, we all shared the meatballs, marinated olives, little gem salad and focaccia. I thoroughly enjoyed the salad and focaccia with the salad as one of our "Christmas gifts" that night. The focaccia was served with honey butter and was served warm. My husband and I shared the Margherita Royale. The dough itself had a nice chew and loved the charred bits on the crust. We also shared the charred broccoli, but was nothing to write home about - personally, would not recommend. I ordered an affogato as my dessert. I wasn't expecting the espresso and ice cream to be served separately. I just took sips of the espresso while taking spoonfuls of ice cream - this was easily shared. I do want to give a shout out to their general manager, Macy. She dropped by our table to check how we were enjoying our meal. Two people in our party has been there before to celebrate a big accomplishment and Macy remembered them! She even remembered giving them a gift that night. I think it's worth trying their food! It's in a good location on the beltline, but surrounded by businesses.

Ooooh this place is a dream! The outdoor (enclosed) patio in the winter isn't just a last resort…read morereservation option, it should be your TOP destination. It's cozy, (plenty warm) and romantic! It was 32 degrees outside, but completely comfortably warm, inside. You truly wouldn't know you weren't inside. Any way, I've eaten my way through Inman Park but somehow hadn't yet indulged in the delectable Sotto Sotto. This might just be my new favorite Italian in Atlanta. It was absolutely delicious. Across the table (thanks to the half portion option), we tried at least 8 items on the menu! Each one was more special then the next. Our incredible server Kagen (sp?) walked us through each section of the menu absolutely perfectly. As a result we ended up ordering some of his favs from across the menu. In my photos you can see what we ordered, but my recommendation is to simply ask your server what they like and you'll undoubtably get something stellar. In a market of many, great Italian options, Sotto Sotto might just be the BEST and my new fav!!! I absolutely can't wait to return.

Food:10/10 Ambiance:10/10…read moreService:-0/10 This place was amazing the food and atmosphere created an amazing experience for my group ,... However the server we had tonight was one of the worst experiences I've had especially for a place that is trying to sell an upscale dining environment he greeted the table by saying (after we asked how he was doing) "I'm doing f-ing horrible I'm tired and feel like sh*t we had such a busy night last night" he was not very knowledgeable about menu or drinks and his overall appearance gave very much unhygienic he also forgot to put in our food order so we waited double the time and said that since we already had appetizers and the other table did not have any food that we could wait to order food, also just assumed how someone in my group wanted there steak cooked so had to wait for that to be redone, he was all over the place and did not check in on us very often we needed things like refills or salt pepper etc. and went without because bad service I don't think he should have been working he obviously did not want to be there he also failed to mention that the kitchen was closing so we did not get to try the desserts. There were a couple of other things but don't want a 5 page review I cannot remember his name but a taller white guy with a messy bun and tired eyes. We still left a tip because that's what you do when you go out but if he treated his other tables like he did us I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only ones that tipped. I suggest not going on a busy night to get good service I guess. My group was 4 ppl 2 couples trying to enjoy a nice double date without the craziness of v-day next time we will celebrate days before. Will for sure be going back and hope you give them a try but if that's how the waiter greets himself please go ahead and ask for a different server!!!!

Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The pasta was rich and comforting, with a great balance of sauce, cheese, and seasoning. The meatballs were hearty and full of flavor, and the mushroom dish had a deep, savory taste that stood out. The pizza was also a highlight, with a perfectly cooked crust, great cheese pull, and just the right amount of char. What really made the experience memorable was the welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. The staff made sure we were taken care of, and the entire meal felt relaxed, warm, and enjoyable. No. 246 is definitely a Decatur gem. Great food, great service, and a place I would gladly return to.

I was wondering why so many people had either recently left poor reviews or had downgraded their…read moreprevious reviews, and after my most recent visit I unfortunately understand why. Something has completely changed about this spot. It used to be one of my favorites, a nice moderately priced sit-down Italian restaurant tucked away in downtown Decatur. Maybe they've grown too big for their britches as we southerners say, but this most recent visit was likely my last. Staff attitudes were terrible, the execution of the food was a joke. My siblings and I had hyped this restaurant up to our mom and thought she would enjoyed being wined and dined. We arrived admittedly about 10 minutes after our reservation time (thanks to the city of Decatur's hostile parking policies), after attempting to call the restaurant and let them know we were circling the building. I say attempting because the number rings straight to an AI voice that doesn't allow you to speak once it asks you a question. I even tried sending messages through the OpenTable app. Either way, the restaurant claims you have a 15 minute grace period. Once we finally walked inside, my sister leaned over and whispered that their posted food inspection score was a low B. We exchanged glances but figured maybe they were inspected on an off day. The host (once she finally stopped avoiding eye contact with us) spontaneously let us know that since we weren't on time, we would be "getting a table in the back by the kitchen". What an odd policy to announce to your patrons that you're going to be punishing them with bad seating. The table was indeed by the kitchen but given how many tables this restaurant has tried to cram into the dining room, none of them are spectacular. I looked around and saw folks at tables bumping into the ones next to them, that's how tightly everyone is seated. Our server was friendly enough, and was able to recommend some good dishes. Word to the wise, while they bring bread to the table, it's one half-slice per person. We learned the hard way (because our server never mentioned it) that asking for more bread (the exact same amount as before mind you) is $7. You could buy a freshly baked loaf for that price. The actual food was fine, not bad but nothing like we've had in the past. It arrived fairly quickly. Where the dinner continued nosediving was when my sister, after seeing that we all had ordered small side dishes of pasta, decided she'd like to order some as well. By small side dish, I mean a fistful in a soup cup. I add that detail because when she asked the server, the server stated it would be AT LEAST a 20 minute wait. We asked her to repeat herself because surely we heard that wrong, right? 20 minutes for spaghetti?! She left for a few minutes, then came back and said her manager confirmed that even if she asked the kitchen to rush it, the soonest would be 18 minutes. You see a pattern here right? This restaurant seems like they relish letting their customers know who's in charge...and here's a hint reader, it's not you. Where the evening actually became appalling was a result of our closeness to the kitchen. They have a sous chef working dining room-adjacent doing the final dish prep before the food is picked up by the runners. I know kitchens usually don't utilize gloves (the whole, hands can be frequently washed but the same pair of gloves will touch multiple surfaces thing). However this gentleman unabashedly practiced some of the worst cross contamination practices I've ever seen. He'd grabbed fistfuls of Parmesan cheese to garnish a plate, then reach in his pocket for his phone. Then he'd arrange leaves of lettuce for salad, then TOUCH HIS HAIR. We watched him on two occasions have, either family friends or familiar patrons, walk up to him excitedly and he'd hug them and shake their hands and pat their shoulders, and once done would immediately grab forks and knives and spoons by their business ends, squeeze lemons, slice bread, fist the cheese container....absolutely disgusting and completely explains the health inspection score. If anything it should have been lower. We were only 5 feet away from the guy and he made eye contact with us several times so it's not like he was embarrassed. A long haired woman came over a few times and did the same as him, though she did put black gloves on once or twice. To top it off, once we received the check was we saw plenty of upcharges and surcharges that our server neglected to tell us she would be adding, so her tip reflected her oversight. To wrap it up, not only is the service and food not worth the price, but this place is actually unhygienic. Unless they change their practices, you're eating here at your own risk. Wish Yelp was like IG and I could @ the health department....
