I arrived just before their three o'clock lunch break and was accommodated by their daughter (who was really friendly and kind). I ordered a chicken shawerma Haifa sandwich, and I watched my pita being toasted over a charcoal fire (she used a fan to literally fan the coal fire). I needed to use two hands, and from my first bite I was in nirvana. I asked and was given a fork and extra sauce. Remarkably good falafel, delicious chicken, and oh, that secret sauce. It's right on Speedwell (a busy street) near a funky intersection that gets tied up quickly. Do yourself a favor and park on a side street a block away: you'll whet your appetite on the walk there, and float in bliss on your way back. Superb. Great value. Just a gem. I will most definitely return and highly recommend it.

I got up to ask if they have any hot tea, he said yes and recommended the cardamom tea . The tea was perfect beautiful delicious! Never had cardamom tea before. I came from New York on a day trip and stumbled upon a true gem. I never had Lebanese food before and I am so glad I came here. I was treated like an actual princess. Food was so flavorful , delicious, full of love and flavors!!! The falafel was crunchy and so so so so good. Everything on the table was fresh!!! Simon would come to my table and give me free samples of their desserts. I was just so overjoyed with the whole experience! I couldn't leave without buying hummus and a seven bean salad as well as some cookies. The restaurant was beautiful and filled with life and colors. Thank you Simon for having me , you are amazing and your team is too! I will definitely be back and I recommend everyone from all parts of the globe to come here.

It's a small, family run place with excellent food. We started off by ordering appetizers of Hummus and kashk-e-bademjan (puréed eggplant) served with pita. Both were very good! This is a BYOB, so the wine was perfect with this. For entrees, my wife and I both ordered Kabob-e-barg, which was marinated pieces of filet mignon, served with Basmati rice. My wife also ordered a small salad. The rice was amazing! I really enjoyed that and the salad which we split. We had to order the homemade baklava for dessert...great way to top off the meal! Morristown has so many great restaurant options. Every time we come here we always say that we should come here more often. With parking garages, it's always easy to come here, park, and walk around the town. If you're coming here, Marjan is a good choice for a delicious meal.

We shared a lentil soup that was good, though it could have used a squeeze of lemon or something similar to brighten the flavor. The falafel sandwich was delicious, packed with fresh pickles and paired perfectly with a side of baba ghanoush. The chicken shawarma sandwich was also tasty, though it didn't include the same pickles as the falafel. Overall, this was a delicious and authentic spot that I'd definitely visit again if I were in the area.

We got the jebneh, the lentil soup, and the falafel platter with french fries and salad. We started with the jebneh which is basically white pizza. It was pretty mid. I thought the lentil soup would be puréed but it wasn't and it had a ton of onions which I don't particularly care for. This is however a personal preference and not part of why I am giving two stats. The falafel was cooked well but not seasoned well and lacked flavor. The dipping sauce was watery, and could have also offered more flavor. My boyfriend and I went to finish the jebneh and I found a hair in it. Not mine and not my boyfriend's. I called Manouche to let them know and they offered to remake it but honestly the food overall really upset my stomach. My boyfriend also had a stomach ache after the food. The manager who I spoke to about the food was pretty unsympathetic and said she'd double check their processes and that hair was highly unusual. I just didn't love the customer service. Overall, the food even without the hair was mediocre. My boyfriend said the best thing was the root beer he got from there. I don't think we will be going back any time soon.

Everything was delicious, but I'll leave the food writing to the Yelpers with more sophisticated palates than I. (Actually, I take that back--the fresh-baked pita was amazing and I would eat it with/for every meal if I could.) The real reason I wanted to leave a review the service, which went above and beyond. Let me start by saying that Al Basha takeout has a wonderfully efficient order-number-based system for managing the hundreds of orders they get on a daily basis. But if, say, the person who placed the order sent you to pick up the food with the wrong order number, you're going to struggle, and that's not the restaurant's fault. With that prelude and without getting into the details, we'll just say there was a user error issue with my order that led to a mix-up and a very late pick-up. Everyone from the Al Basha staff with whom I interacted could not have handled it any better. They were very apologetic, not because they did anything wrong (to be clear, they didn't), but because they were disappointed our meal hadn't gone well and wanted to fix that. The top priority of the manager with whom I dealt was making sure that my wife--it was Mothers' Day--got the best meal possible, and made sure to send me home with fresh bread and a treat for the moms. It was true hospitality, and greatly appreciated. TLDR version: great food, excellent service, out-of-this-world pita, and make darned sure you have the right order number.

The chicken kebab was dry and the shawarma was a bit too sour for my liking (not sure if they squeezed lemon on it or something). The kofta was okay but nothing spectacular. The filet mignon, was a major let down. My server didn't ask how we'd like it cooked, which is medium rare for my family. It came back well done. He said everyone usually prefers it to be well done, but I think that's a mistake that shouldn't be made and preference should always be asked, especially with steak. We asked for it to be swapped, and it still came back well done. When we let them know again, they brought it back a little on the rare side, which is fine for my family, but had it been another family, not so sure. I'm sure they have hundreds of orders for the char grilled meets, so I'm a little confused on why the technique has not already been established My favorite dish had to be the makanik - which is pan seared lamb sausages finished with sweet and tangy pomegranate molasses. I usually don't like lamb because of the gamey flavor but these sausages didn't have that. I didn't taste much of the pomegranate molasses. The arugula & beet salad would've been good if the pomegranate molasses vinaigrette was less sweet. The stuffed grape leaves were also a bit too sour. The lemon was just taking over the entire flavor profile. I didn't really taste the tomato or parsley. The falafel platter was good but nothing different than other falafels that I've had. The mint lemonade was so refreshing. Almost everyone in the restaurant had one and I understand why. The mint is not overpowering I had high expectations because I've seen this place on instagram but I'm afraid they were not met. Service was good, but the food definitely needs some work. There's valet parking, which i recommend because it's hard to find street parking
