Egg sausage and cheese on a long roll and cheese steak special.

Lyn's is a Solid breakfast & lunch spot near CHOP & PENN--cheap, clean, and made-to-order. Egg, sausage & cheese hit the spot, cheesesteak special slapped. Great service and Friendly vibes too.

Nice hidden gem of a food truck. We stopped here for breakfast and got sausage, egg and cheese on a bagel. They also had regular bagels, muffins, and different sandwiches. Not only did the sandwich taste good, but the price was super affordable and the best I've seen around coming in at about $4 each.

Lyn's never disappoints. Every time I come to Philly, I make it a mission to go to her truck. She's the most soft spoken women ever and her right hand man, her husband, works insanely efficient. I can't believe my bagel was only $5 despite being loaded with sausages, egg, cheese, and cream cheese. What a steal. One of the best bagels I've had recently!! I love you cô an chú, best of luck.

My previous opinion still stands: Lyn's is the best food truck on Penn's campus She recommended I try out her bfast sandwiches. Lyn made me a egg, cheese, sausage on an everything bagel. It was only $3.50!! And a big size for the price too!!! The bagel was pressed on the grill but to my surprise was very soft and warm.

Theres a good reason why lyns is so popular! Absolutely lovely couple and the sandwiches are perf for a quick lunch. Id only been once before pre pandemic but its just as good as i remember. I got the egg and cheese w spinach on a plain bagel. Ketchup, hot sauce, and pepper! The cheese is so perfectly gooey.

Seeing pictures of Lyn's on peoples' Instagrams is probably the biggest reason I came to Lyn's. An apparent staple of the Penn community, I walked by on an early Wednesday morning where there was perfectly no line for me to try the famous food truck and try to satisfy my stomach. The owners of the food truck were quick to greet and eagerly ready to take my order. With the help of a friend's expertise, I got a long roll sandwich with spinach + eggs, sausage, and cheese cut in half. With nothing but food on my mind at 8:30 am, I quickly scurried home to try it. By far, this is one of the most complete breakfast meals you could want on the go. One bite and I was filled with all the feelings American breakfast foods should provide - comfort, willingness, and warmth. Succeeding at all three, I even added some sriracha to really wake me up from the food coma I was about to arrive in. If the line is short, GET IT. If it's long and you got nothing to do, GET IT. I promise you, better than 90% of the brunch areas in University City are within walking distance between 34th and 40th street. There's a reason why this is a cult favorite, so just trust what you've heard about the place and go ahead and take a bite here!

Came here once 4 years ago when my fiancée was still a student at Penn and have been dying to come back. The same couple still runs the truck and the breakfast sandwiches are still incredible. $5 for a big , melty sausage, egg and cheese on a long roll cannot be beat. Even when it's 95 degrees out, they take your order with a smile. Great place to grab a bite, will definitely be returning to try their lunch sandwiches at some point.

Lyn's is one of my favorite food trucks on Penn's campus. The owners are really friendly and work as efficiently as possible. The only downside though is the line can get long during breakfast and lunch rush hours, but the owners are really fast and are constantly pumping out orders. Even when the line is super long, Lyn never fails to give me a smile and ask how I'm doing. It's super affordable and you can get a large amount of food for less than $5. The food is great, fresh, and tasty too. Note that the food truck is cash only and it's only open on weekdays from 7am-3pm. I would highly recommend!

Spinach, egg white, and cheese on rye toast.

I really respect places that keep it simple, but do what they do really well. Lyn's is one of those places. They serve up simple but well-made breakfast sandwiches in a fast and friendly manner. After only one visit, they knew my order. Then I didn't return for a few weeks and they still knew my order on my third visit! Now that is some impressive customer service! My go-to order is an spinach, cheese, and egg white sandwich on rye toast. The egg white is always cooked perfectly, there is plenty of spinach and the cheese is all gooey and creamy. A little hot sauce and black pepper I get added at the end, gives it that kick. All this for $3! It makes a good breakfast, or a nice light lunch. The only other sandwich I have tried is the chicken special with peppers, mushrooms, and onions that comes on a long roll. It was okay, but I wasn't a huge fan of the roll it was on. If you are looking for a food truck for breakfast or lunch in University City and want something dependable, affordable, and tasty, Lyn's is your spot! The line may look long, but don't let that deter you as it usually moves quite quickly.

Lyn's is a great spot for a quick bite to eat. Her prices are amazing for the amount of food you get. So far I've tried spinach egg and cheese on a long roll and that was only three dollars. Today I tried eggplant spinach Parm pita and that was only $3.50. Both sandwiches were filled and delicious. I'm happy to have Lyn's now, because I know the food is good and the prices are reasonable. Lunch trucks are my go-to when I am not sure what I want to eat. Often I need a quick breakfast or a quick lunch and Lyn's food truck offers both options. They are quick and cost efficient. Also, she is sweet as can be. I'm so happy to give them my business!!

Rather than waiting around, I was able to place my order easily through the kiosk and settled in to wait. What really stood out was the customer service. The manager noticed the delay, kindly apologized, and even offered me a drink and chips while I waited. That level of hospitality goes a long way and left a great impression. I ordered the Philly Special along with the Hot Honey chips, and both were delicious. The sandwich hit the spot, and the chips were a perfect addition. Yum! Sometimes it's not just the food that makes a place memorable, it's how you're treated. The team handled a busy moment with professionalism and kindness, and because of that, I left happy and impressed. I'll gladly be back the next time I'm in Philadelphia. My friend ordered the classic, I got the Philly special. We had 1 handcut fries. $46.65, $3.74 tax, $7.00 tip. Total = $57.39. You order at a kiosk & wait for your # to be called, with some nuances. The service was terrible. We waited 40 minutes before inquiring. 1 worker said everybody was waiting as long. He could not expedite. But I did see people with a higher order number get served their complete meal before we did. At some point we got fries. We waited 15 minutes. My friend got his sandwich after we nearly finished the fries. Another 10 minutes & I got my classic cheesesteak, because it took more effort to make. For ~$28/person, we shouldn't wait an hour for staggered food. The staff were hard working & pleasant, just overwhelmed. The cheesesteaks were fantastic. But the fries were REALLY over salted. Shay's could be a 4, even a 5 if they fixed the service. I really loved the sandwiches. Lots of meat, perfect cheese melt, nice chunky onions, peppers, & great bread. I'm a fan. Fix the service & don't over salt the fries. You got something good here, take it the rest of the way.

Ok, onto the eats! 1. Della Casa ($18): A 12-inch soft seeded sando layered with a schmear of balsamic sundried pepper spread, fresh mozz, and hot cappicola dried with Calabrian chili oil and filled with fresh arugula and house roasted eggplant slices. This was good, however, the eggplant felt kind out of place. The slices were large and a little bit too mushy for my liking and it felt like it could have benefitted from an extra meat or contrast to the softness from the mozz, such as fried eggplant instead. All in all a 7 out of 10. Good but wouldn't order again. 2. Turkey Salumeria ($18.50): Another (delicious) 12-inch soft seeded roll saturated with a house creamy balsamic dressing (could have honestly drank this) + mild prov, LTO, sliced turkey and really great cherry pepper relish. This was a pretty basic, but all the parts came together to make a solid sandwich. I wouldn't necessarily order again but the combination of ingredients and the hellish relish made it a 7.5 out of 10. All in all, the quality of the ingredients, the combinations available on the menu and the stellar staff all make LK popular for good reason. While the selections we had this go around didn't wow us (just lacking a certain je ne sais quoi) I do look forward to going back to try the kale chx caesar, some of their cutlet sandos, roast beef and pork and of course the tomato pie and CCC's!

They have a couple of vegan options and GF rolls for extra $$. The staff was more than happy to give recommendations and their favs. My first lunch was The Eye - $15 Ribeye steak, Cooper Sharp American, fried onions came on a seeded Liscio's roll. If you enjoy the somewhat newer Cooper sharp style that's out there you'll like theirs. The Cooper sharp was gooey, mixed in well with the meat and on the heavier side. The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized. I will certainly stop back for a visit if I'm in the area to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys!
