LÄDERACH @ BELLEVUE Parking is available for free at any of the mall's garages! I recommend parking on the Nordstrom side or near Macy's. I've been to this chocolate spot a few times now, but I usually go to the one in San Diego since I go to school there. When I saw that they opened a location in Bellevue Square, I was really excited to try it out. There was a line out the door, but since I came on Black Friday, it was expected to be busier. Once we got inside, we were immediately greeted, and they were handing out samples of their incredible, original chocolate hazelnut. I seriously love it, it's so delicious. The store itself is very small, and there really isn't much room inside. It feels like a tiny little room packed with way too many people. There were people on my left and right the entire time, and it definitely felt over-capacity. The chocolate is on the expensive side, but it makes sense since everything is imported from Switzerland. I ended up buying their mousse chocolate because it was nicely wrapped, a bit cheaper, and perfect as a gift. The worker even let me try one, it was the strawberry one with marshmallow and it was delicious. It was about $30 for seven pieces. The staff is very friendly, and there are a lot of workers walking around checking in and making sure you don't need help. I also love their decor section, they have chocolates shaped like snowmen, Rudolph, Santa, and more. The smaller ones are around $15, and the larger ones go up to about $40. The only thing I don't like is that most of them are hollow. Anything like the Santa or Rudolph figures is completely hollow inside, which feels like a waste of money. The same goes for their advent calendars, if there is something inside, it's usually cream or mousse, not actual chocolate. That's really my only complaint with this company: you're not fully getting your money's worth on those specialty items. Overall, it's still a great place, and I would definitely recommend trying their chocolates. Just be aware that some items are absolutely worth the money and others definitely aren't.

As the second location in Washington state of the Swiss chocolatier, Laderach - Bellevue opened in the Bellevue Square indoor shopping center on August, 2025. They specialize in bark, and their free samples along with Dubai chocolate was excellent. Laderach was founded in Switzerland in 1962, and started an international expansion in 2019. This included taking over the leases of 40 Godiva chocolate locations. It now has over 220 retail locations worldwide, including over 62 in the U.S. They are known for their 'FrischSchoggi', fresh chocolate in large slabs (aka chocolate bark). It is sold by the pound ($62 per), and eaten by breaking off chunks with your hands. They were giving away manually broken pieces of their hazelnut bark, and our group (son-in-law) bought some Dubai chocolate (milk chocolate with a pistachio cream) and other varieties to share. All of it was excellent. As a big fan of milk chocolate with nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts), I really enjoyed the contrast of textures it really provided...certainly a lot more than truffles/bon-bons which I find to be too soft/rich.

Laderach is a Swiss chocolatier that recently opened in Bellevue Square. I love chocolate, so my friend and I decided to check it out while shopping and everything was tasty and high-quality! Located on the upper level of Bell Square near Me&Crepe, the shop is organized, clean and staff is helpful. They're behind the counter, ready to answer questions and provide samples of the different blocks of chocolate that you can purchase by the ounces, which can get pricey! The different blocks of chocolate range from different chocolates and ingredients. I left the shop with dark chocolate with whole hazelnuts, dark chocolate with pistachios and dark chocolate with blackberry. There's no better combination than dark chocolate and hazelnuts, which was the clear winner for me, especially since they use whole hazelnuts! I highly recommend trying. But they have a variety worth checking out. For other chocolates, they have packaged boxes of blocks of chocolate, bars, and other chocolate coated items, as well as truffles. Laderach is a great place to get gifts for the chocolate lovers in your life.

An update review! Memory is never perfect! When I first had Laderach's hazelnut chocolates, it reminded me of Ferrero Rocher immediately and I was very curious how much better they would taste comparatively since the price difference is outrageously significant. So I did it. Side by side. The two were very very different! First off Ferrero Rocher was much much sweeter and it tasted more like wafers than chocolate. It contained more ingredients and different textures (especially its creamy inner side). Laderach was much more straightforward. Just dark chocolate and fresh hazelnuts. I actually do not recommend that other do this side by side. After eating Ferrero Rocher, Laderach doesn't taste like anything haha. No joke! Please refer to my previous review for other aspects of Laderach. I think their products are great but extremely expensive for what they are.

I like their chocolate bar sold by weight, the coffee one the best. Packaging really well. Most staff are friendly and professional. One of them seems not to know what to do. I asked for boxing items, she kept replying me: " No we can only to one try-out, you cannot try-out." Even though I did ask for tryout. But still love this store! ( too sweet mostly, but the coffee one is perfect!)

9/6/2025 - After taking some samples, decided to purchase a dark chocolate...it is so good. The staff are very friendly.

I think this place opened recently in Bellevue Square. It was really crowded over the weekend, so I decided to check it out. I tried one of their samples and it was really good. Their collection is super cute. When I visited, they had Christmas-themed items that are perfect for gifting. Their single-piece assortments are all solid, so you can't really go wrong with what you pick. The staff were also very friendly, helpful, and patient in answering all my questions. Overall, a great spot to browse and pick up gifts.

Deducting a star because of the disappointing box presentation. Went back in yesterday to buy a box of truffles as a birthday present. I was expecting a more high end experience, like Fran's. The box is oversized and too deep, the paper all wrinkly. The truffles were on top of each other, not neatly arranged, and there was no description of what's what... I mean, the truffles are very good, but the presentation is very disappointing. Learn from Frans!

Free samples are so good! Milk chocolate with toffee! Definitely lured me in and made me want to purchase a few gift chocolates! They are big plates of chocolate they cut up!

Grand opening today! Stumbled upon this gorgeous new chocolate shop at the mall and couldn't resist stepping in after being offered samples (and a mini backstory about the founder!). Every single chocolate is imported straight from Switzerland, and the variety is incredible. Loved the huge slabs of chocolate bark--you can taste them and break off as big a piece as you want. The limited-edition Dubai Chocolate was unbelievably rich, and I also picked up a fruit & nut bark and their classic milk chocolate. They've got gift packs, truffles, mousse, and so much more. Definitely a must-visit for Swiss chocolate lovers!

Their chocolate bark has no palm tree oil that store bought chocolate products usually contain. The chocolate is also very refined so it really melts in your mouth without tasting any sandy bits. I like their dark orange and almond chocolate. My kids like the trio one. I'm a longtime fan of Franz but I think now I'll divide my love to Laderach.

I love this place!! I am in chocolate heaven!! It's expensive but so worth the price! Love the variety slabs custom to your heart desire. I'm so picky with my chocolate so this place will definitely be luring me back for all occasions. Service was excellent. Nice ambiance.

I was shocked by the clear difference in treatment based on race at this location. The staff were warm and friendly to the white customers ahead of me--offering free samples and complimentary ribbon wrapping. When it was my turn, their tone shifted completely. They were cold, dismissive, and visibly uninterested in helping me. My questions were met with rudeness, no samples were offered, and I was told I'd have to pay for ribbon wrapping. It felt like I was unwelcome simply because of my skin color. Unacceptable and disheartening in this day and age.

Chef is gone and now the range of food and wine is drastically diminished. I'd advise on the quality of what remains but we literally got up and left due to the repugnant attitude of the waiter, who identified himself as the manager and was all too happy to see us leave after some unpleasantries were exchanged. I think this restaurant's days remaining in business can be measured in days or weeks, not months. It's sad because the owner obviously put some real creativity and money into the design of the wine bar side of the establishment, but as many restaurateurs have learned the hard way, the nature of the personnel can make or break a business, and this place has gone from one extreme to the other in that regard. I predict this particular manager will put the last nail in the coffin of L'Experience Paris with total certainty.

I'd also like to note that unlike the other location this location does not carry hot plated food My all time favorite thing to eat here is the sesame croissant and matcha tiramisu. It costs a dollar more but way cheaper than if you ordered them separately. The service here is always fast and friendly and most of the time pretty clean. Weekday afternoons are best for no line. Weekends should be avoided as the line gets pretty ridiculous and super hard to find a place to sit.
