Letter from DM at Take 5 saying to get it fixed & if it's their fault they will pay. It was only her & Isaiah and myself near my car.

Victoria S, I appreciate your attention to this matter. I will follow up with the shop manager at the number you provided. I am on SS so I have no room to incur additional costs due to someone else's error. I am also upset the Miss Cunningham bold face lied in the email she declined my claim. I'm confused because she said the service was all on camera but says neither her nor Isaiah did anything when both clearly tried to adjust the latch with a screwdriver. I will follow up today Wednesday August 27th with the shop manager at the number you provided. I will hold off on filing with the BBB of Texas, the Attorney General & TDLR until after speaking with the contact you provided me with. I will refrain from posting on all other social media account until after I speak with the manager. I do have the original letter written by Miss Cunningham also her email denying my claim and lies that she put in writing. I have all my receipts. I also want to make known Texas Discount Copperas Cove repaired my hood latch. They contacted me to say that they contacted Take 5 about the repair and offered to discount the repair but Take 5 manager declined the offer. I appreciate you addressing this. I also want to make known that all my intentions were good. I even donated $4.00 for the children's cause they were asking for donations. It's sad that an elderly victim of Take 5 has to jump through these hoops to get my money back. The one star is just because they won't post without a star. I have sent emails to every executive leader I could get an email address for with Driven Brands about the bad service the damages and request for payment on damages Take 5 employees did to my car. They can resolved this entire issue with a check for $170.25 to pay the damages. Looks like they want to play hardball. I will wait until tomorrow to see if I get any feedback. If not, tomorrow I will follow through with my threat of filing with BBB of Texas; Attorney General Texas; Texas Dept of Licensing & Regulation and small claims court. In small claims I want reimbursement for the damages plus the time I've spent sending emails and filing documents and cost for copies of all back up paperwork and my donation of $4.00 y'all said was for the children then to decided what you would share out of the $4.00 donation. They have dishonest deceptive employees that lie to your face. If they in fact had cameras then show me the video of you both servicing my car. You both took tools not necessary for an oil change and used those tools to bend my hood latch. Why does driven brands let the person who bent my hood latch be the same person that can review & deny the claim when they were the person that did the damage? Doesn't make sense does it? Be CAREFUL when having Take 5 in Copperas Cove fix your car. They are very dishonest and scammers. I'm an elderly woman on a fixed income. I can't afford Take 5 mistakes. Tonight I will get help from friends to post on all social media accounts to publicize Take 5 and Driven Brands bad business practices and their dishonest employees... tomorrow is will be me spending my day filing complaints with BBB of Texas, Attorney General of Texas, Texas Dept of Licensing and Regulations and small claims court.. As you can see I have a lot on my plate but I won't stop until Driven Brands & Take 5 take responsibility for the damages they did to my vehicle.

    More oil on my driveway.

Poor service, forgot to put a screw back in oil filter and called me the next day because it could be leaking oil. Car was leaking lots of oil when parked. Once I got there they wanted me to wait in line to get the service done instead of trying to make it better and service me ASAP. They have a mess there.

Take 5 used to be our go to place to get an oil change until one service our dipstick had broken off during the oil change ( Oct. of 2023) and the technician said he was going to talk to management about fixing it and replacing it for us. Easy simple fix, but we never received any calls, or messages for the first week, so we tried to call and ask about the status of our dipstick it's like nobody had a clue what we were talking about and that they're going to call the general manager to see what they could do, we have tried countless times to get ahold of someone and every time has been the same, new managers, no one knows what's going on or they'll reach out to us. They will never reach out to you if you have an issue with a service and need to come back, they will give you the run around about asking management and just wait the 30 days until their service warranty expires then tell you sorry there's nothing we can do about it now. We had to shell out over $500 to an auto shop so that they could fix the mistake this oil company made. I do not and will not ever trust a business that operates like this. take 5? i like to call them take 500.

I needed an AC compressor replaced on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. The compressor is often replaced…read morewith a condenser and an expansion valve, but since the vehicle is a 2007, I had some budgetary constraints to remain within. As a result, I ONLY wanted the AC compressor and serpentine belt replaced. My usual go to repair shop refused to accept the job unless I agreed to replace ALL components, but that would have exceeded our budget for a 2007 vehicle. The M and M One Stop Auto Shop had been open for about a week so I gave them a try. Monty crunched some numbers and quoted me a fair price. I told him I'd discuss it with my wife and get back with him. A few days later I had an afternoon free, so I called Monty around 1:00 and said let's do it! By 2:00 the vehicle was on a tow truck heading to the shop, by 3:00 I was told that the new part was due in by 4:00, and by 5:45 the job was complete. The SUV is running as good as ever, and yes, the AC is working fine. BTW a gentleman from Phil's Paint and Body (it might have been Phil), handled the tow, he has a sort of partnership with Monty for flat-rate towing services and the tow charge was included in my final bill. Payment - I received my invoice as a text from Square and the cost fell well within the range of the estimate. Payment was easy and I received a digital receipt as a PDF. Vets, be sure to ask about a military discount. Cost / Value - Monty is a straight-shooter, no mark-ups, no add-ons, no BS. Hours - The hours are VERY reasonable, weekdays 8:00 - 6:00, I mean, who does that? Location - The location is great, it's where the old Cove Taxi used to be right on 1st street. As a bonus of sorts, there's a Subway located a short walking distance to the north, and it's open whenever the M and M One Stop Shop is open. Waiting area - I wasn't there long enough to see if they had a lounge or waiting area, but see my comment about Subway above. Wi-Fi - I wasn't there long enough to see if they offered free Wi-Fi. Restroom - I haven't visited their restroom. Cleanliness? - It's an auto repair shop, and it LOOKED as expected, like an automotive repair shop. Need a vehicle repair, give Monty a call at M and M One Stop Auto Shop, he'll hook you up!

Beware of Phil's Auto Repair. In my experience, this shop is dishonest and will overcharge if given…read morethe opportunity. Low ratings exist for a reason. I've gone there several times for alignments. During my last visit, they told me I needed wheel bearings and gave me a written estimate of about $1,300 for parts and labor. I asked if I could supply my own parts, and they said yes, explaining only that they wouldn't be able to warranty customer-supplied parts. I specifically asked what the labor would cost and was told $645. I ordered the parts and, a few months later, called to make sure the labor price was still the same before bringing my car in. They assured me it was. When I arrived with my parts, instead of pulling up my original estimate, the employee created a new estimate with the labor increased by nearly $300. I stopped him and asked him to print my original estimate. He hesitated and only did so after I repeatedly insisted. The manager then came out and claimed the original labor price was only discounted because I was supposedly buying their parts. That explanation made no sense because I had already told them from the beginning that I would be supplying my own parts, and at that time they still quoted me $645 for labor. They never said that price depended on buying their parts. It felt like an excuse made up on the spot to justify charging me almost $900 in labor. To make matters worse, the parts they wanted to sell me were marked up by more than $500. I bought the exact same brand-new parts myself for only $170. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop. Make sure you get everything in writing, compare prices, and don't assume they will honor the estimates they give you. After leaving I discovered that they also have complaints with the Better Business Bureau as well
