Delicious bowl of soup noodles! I had the combination rice stick noodle which came with chicken, pork, shrimp, and beef ball. The soup was very flavorful and there was a generous amount of rice noodles, cooked perfectly. The chicken was a little dry; the beef balls on the other hand were super tasty. I have an issue with the pho broth. It's tasty,, but not clear. Kind of grossed me out. Not my favorite spot.

Wow! Coming from Southern California and have eaten all over Orange County, this place has legit wonton noodle soup! The broth is light and clean, and all of the meats are surprisingly flavorful. I usually do not like pork, but the pork slices in the bowl was super tasty. Comes with wontons, pork meat, chicken breast meat, meatballs, and shrimp. Portion is huge! Wish they were closer to home. The broth is cleaner than Trieu Chau, and they offer much meat than Sam Woo. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in Gilroy and can't wait to bring the rest of the fam here. read more

I went to this place today to have lunch. Although the food is just OK, meeting the owner Andy and his wife made it worthwhile. Today however, was an entirely different experience. Upon arrival, I waited a few mins to be seated (not a big deal) and the wife told me to seat anywhere. So I sat at a table and shortly after she asked me to move to a smaller table. I thought to myself OK, no prob. When she was taking my order, I ask for a bowl of soup and 1 eggroll. She firmly replies I need to order at least 3 eggrolls. I said I'm sorry I only want one, I didn't realize I need to order 3 as the menu says &1.70 a piece (photo attached). She replies in a smart ass manor "well we can't only fry one". I said, soup only is fine thank you. When I was finally getting my food, Andy brought it out to me and when putting the bowl on the table, the broth splashed on Andy's thumb. I realized he did not do this on purpose but before I can say anything, he quickly walked away and started speaking loudly to his wife and another person behind the counter. You can tell that something was going on and the vibe was really off. The customers next to me said it seems like they are fighting and they have been trying to get their attention for a while. When I finally got Andy's attention I politely told him that my intent was not to irritate him, but his thumb went into the bowl of soup. Before I can ask for a new one he replies "I'm the owner and I've been doing this for 15-30 years" blah blah blah. I ended up saying I know who you are and I didn't ask how long you been in the business. By this time he was offended for sure, yelling at me while I was sitting down and he was standing (small guy complex). And he eventually kicked me out. I was a bit thrown back as he did not even bother to make the situation right. Anyway, too bad. I liked Andy and his wife as they are from San Jose like me. The service quality and the cleanliness of the facility has gone down for sure. I can only imagine the nail salon they own next door. I would rate their food 0-2 at best, not sure where the 5 star ratings are coming from. I'd give this place a 0 if I could. Go to Pho Thanh An by Best Buy instead. The owner Hi is really nice and truly enjoys his customers. Morgan Hill has decent places also. This place has gone downhill. read more

We were in the area shopping at the outlets and found this place in Yelp. It was sooooooooooo good. We eat a lot of Vietnamese food and love pho. This spot was better than anything I've had in years. We ordered pho #1 special combination of raw flank steak, tendons, beef ball and triple $17.95 and #18 wonton combination noodle soup $14.95. Both had umami broth and overloaded with meats/ wonton and veggies that hit the spot on this cold rainy night. It was so good I forgot to take pictures. Love this restaurant! Nothing fancy here but the pho is so good and so satisfying! Flavorful broth is loaded with noodles & my favorite: the #1 Beef. I honestly swear I died and went to heaven and had the best soup. It was a euphoric experience. I can wholeheartedly say that the broth in my won ton and meat ball soup smelt like something from heaven. I want a vial of that smell and be able to smell it forever! I love and adore owners like that, they make a community with customers and regulars. Very welcoming and kind atmosphere. Felt very comfortable there. Today we went in for some lunch. The restaurant is really nice inside, however they're not open for inside dinning. Andy (he may be the manager) greeted us & got us seated outside right away. They have a great outdoor set up. Andy was really welcoming & accommodating. Moved our table to a nice shaded area. We ordered Spicy pad Thai, Combination Pho & an order of spring rolls. Came here after visiting Carmel with my family and wanted to get some Viet food before shopping at the Gilroy outlets. I regret every stepping food into this place. We were here around 12ish, typical lunch time and there were a few other parties at other tables. My mom ordered the Beef Stew with Tendon Vermicelli, which she had never had before. When the waiter brought it out, the first thing we all noticed was how insanely OILY it is... My mom almost didn't want to touch it but I suggested getting a separate bowl so that she could put the food in and eat from a separate bowl. The taste itself was pretty good but still gives me chills. In addition, our family shared an order of spring rolls but I noticed on one of the leaves on the plate (not in the spring roll) that people don't typically eat, I saw a strand of brown hair intertwined in the leaf. Now, my first thought was that it could be any of our strands of hair that fell there, but it was literally wrapped around that piece of leaf. It was just very disturbing and afterwards, I was paranoid that I would find hair in my spring roll or other plates of food. The service was ok too, during our entire meal, the waiter or waitress were mostly in the back, so they didn't really refill our water cups. My sister's pho bowl was good and my BBQ chicken plate was ok (chicken was a little dry though). Prices are fair and reasonable. read more

Phở is one of those distinctive dishes that uniquely represents the Vietnamese culture. Though very simple, the margin for that dish is quite rigid; you cannot substitute fresh ingredients and more importantly the authenticity of it with anything else. You can judge a Vietnamese restaurant easily based on its Phở. M Noodle encompasses all of those authentic qualities. The owner is down to earth. I bought their special combination with all the meats. Their portions are generous with high quality ingredients. Why go to SJ and other places to search when the perfect bowl is here in Gilroy?
