I arrived around lunchtime and had the Vietnamese coffee, which was thick and tasty with just the right amount of sweetness. It was the ideal accompaniment to my meal. Everything about the dish was fresh and excellent. The noodle dishes were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, making for a memorable eating experience. Im writing this review based on the poor customer service I received here from the lady at the register. I ordered pho for pick up and when I arrived I had to wait about 7 minutes for this lady to come to the register and give me my order ( my order was ready and just sitting next to the register) until I called her when she was clearly seeing me from the kitchen and just refused to help me. She finally came and said nothing to me, not even a word. As soon as my card was charged she walked away. Not only did she charge me $15 for chicken pho when it clearly says $12.26 on the menu but what made me more upset is her actitud with her customers. After this I called her again, this time to get a container for sauce she ignored me and had someone else tell me there wasn't any containers to go ( when I clearly was seeing them on the shelf). I just decided to walk away after that. If you're customers bother you so much you should maybe not have a business. My family and I went shopping at the outlet and found this spot on Yelp. They were one of the few spots providing outside dining (and outside propane heaters too). It was a great find! Quality, authentic, delicious food. We ordered the #1 combination Pho, two plates of the bbq pork with rice, and a combination chowmein. Pho both was extremely tasty, hot, and seasoned just right. Quality pieces of large brisket, rare steak, and tendons. Good proportion of perfectly soft noodles too. BBQ pork was exquisite. Super tasty pork! So disgusted. Me and my boyfriend left because I just could not eat anymore. No one was wearing a mask. The man at the cashier was coughing the entire time. The waiter was obviously sick with a cold or something, he kept sniffling, poking his nose and snorting up his snot. The waiters fingers touch some of our food. My girlfriend and I stopped in to give this place a try for dinner after reading all the high reviews. Not sure why this place is rated so high. The place was not only empty, but gave off a sad feeling ambiance from the moment of passing through the door. There seemed to be 2 - 3 restaurant staff working at the time of our visit, but we only interacted with one staff member for seating, ordering, dish serving, and paying. I also believe it was this one same staff member preparing most of our meal too. It was nice to see that the restaurant staff seemed to be all vaccinated as copies of vaccine cards were displayed by the cash register, but when being served in a restaurant it is still preferable that all staff wear masks regardless of vaccination status. The one staff member we interacted with was unmasked. Cleanliness seemed to be almost absent. There were several flies buzzing around the table we were seated at and the table top surface was a little sticky. The serving utensils were in cups in the center of the tables which was very welcoming for my breathing on them. Shortly after ordering our dishes and before being served, I heard the toilet flush. I looked back and it was one of the restaurant staff walking out the bathroom door. I heard the toilet flush because the bathroom door had swung open. I didn't hear any hand-washing and if hand-washing happened I wouldn't have heard the toilet flush though the open bathroom door. It seemed that this was more of a place to order pho, but my girlfriend and I ordered a rice plate and noodle plate. The food came out fairly quickly. The dishes were flavored well but I didn't think the food was anything extraordinary. Can you say menu inaccuracy? The menu stated that both of the dishes we ordered were $8.95 each. Which should have been a $17.90 total bill before tax and tip. Our total bill before tax and tip was $27.80. Not sure where the additional $9.90 came from as we didn't get anything to drink besides water? Could it be that they're charging $4.95 per cup of water? We tried to order a beer with our meal since it was on the menu but we were told that they didn't have their alcohol license. The cleanliness and menu inaccuracy is enough to not recommend this place. The food is nothing desirable to go out of the way for. If you're driving through Gilroy it would be a nice place to park for a driving break as there is plenty of parking. Although we didn't have a too great of an experience at this establishment, it isn't to say others can't have a good experience. Just be prepared to be charged more than the amounts stated on the menu. read more

My daughter and I were in Gilroy shopping at the outlets and when it was time for lunch, Pho was on my mind. So, of course I looked it up on my trusty Yelp app. This pho cafe popped up and after looking at some of the pictures and reading a few reviews, I thought we should go ahead and give them a try. It was a short drive from the outlets, which was nice because we were starving! The location is in a little mall strip next to a salon. It's easy to find. We came in around 2 so it was empty in the establishment. A gentleman, who I assume is the owner greeted us promptly and sat us down at table. The first thing I noticed about the restaurant was that it was CLEAN, so that was a plus. I've eaten at a lot of pho places and that's not always the case! After perusing the menu, my daughter and I decided on some spring rolls, a bowl of beef stew pho, and a rice plate with pork chops. My daughter wanted a fried egg with her plate which wasn't part of the dish. We asked if one could be added and he made it happen without any issues. Spring Rolls: These were some of the best spring rolls I've had at a pho restaurant other than home made. The difference in these were the fresh mint that was added in the wrap. It was so light and refreshing. Delicious! Beef Stew Pho: WOW! This was pure comfort in a bowl. The broth was so flavorful and rich that no additional condiments were needed. The tendon was cooked perfectly. It was soft and gelatinous, just as it should be. The chunks of beef were tender and well seasoned. Rice Plate with Pork Chops: I only tasted the pork chops and they were very good. They used a good quality pork chop and it was actually full of lean pork meat instead of fat. My daughter enjoyed this dish very much. -1 star because service was a little slow even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our server also never came by to check on our water, so I was left with an empty cup half way through our meal. This used to be a chill pho spot I would come to with my mom after the nail salon, but after today's experience I'll never be going back. The new staff (bald guy) was so rude and unprofessional, he lacked customer service and left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I lost my appetite and paid and just left without even eating a single bite of food. All I had simply asked was to switch to a different dish and he gave me so much attitude and said, "you expect me to pay for the other dish" and got all heated about it when it wasn't even that serious. I went to this restaurant for the first time last Friday. Their pho is on point. They really pack on the meat, so I feel like I got my money's worth. The owner and staff are very friendly. They will talk with you and help you explore new dishes, are willing and eager to make changes to your order to suit your needs. They've got a great variety of Vietnamese/South Chinese dishes. They also have a wonderful boba/smoothie/juice drink bar where all the flavors are interchangeable. Please stop by and help support this local business. They can't wait to serve you! Went to eat after my nephews graduation yesterday. We had eight people in our party. Sorry no pictures, it was a long day and we were so hungry. I'm from out of town and this was where my graduate wanted to go. He picked a great spot! I had the #54 combo fried noodle chow mein. This dish had 3 inches of crispy goodness covered in a delicious sauce with a combination of meats and veggies. It was so much and I shared with others and still had plenty to take home. A few had pho and loved it. A couple had chow mein and loved it. But mine was hands down the winner. I'm going to have to visit more often to be able to come back. Clean, great food and portions are big. A must stop if you live or drive through Gilroy. read more

We stopped on our way through Gilroy, CA and found this amazing place for lunch! To start, we shared the fresh shrimp roll and complementary hot tea. My fiancée had the beef stew with tendon and rice stick noodle (#25) and it was absolutely delicious, full of beef and flavor. I had the Mongolian beef and it was the best I've ever tasted, I was somehow able to finish it all, even though the portion was generous. Mongolian beef included red peppers, green onions, spicy chilis, but it wasn't too spicy for me (whew)! We also enjoyed a Vietnamese coffee and Thai iced tea with the meal. What a surprise to find a great Vietnamese place in Gilroy. We had pho and vermicelli with pork and shrimp. The flavor was very good and comparable to Viet places in San Jose. When I was looking around the area near the local Super Tacqueria, I discovered this hidden gem. Best pho in Gilroy, IMO, although my favorite is the Beef Noodle Soup with egg noodles. Nice broth with great, hearty flavor and soft, tender meat. The spring rolls are great too, with some nice texture and peanut sauce with just enough kick. The owner's a friendly guy too. Greets you with a handshake and a smile, and makes sure that you're seated and your orders come quickly. Came here after reading all the reviews and was really craving phó. Let me state that this review is purely on the experience and appearance of the establishment. We arrived after 12pm and only 2 other people were dining in at the time of our arrival. First impression walking in..it's your typical vietnamese joint with lots of tables, no table cloths so it's not a fine dining joint. We are told to sit anywhere, and so we decided to sit in the back. Upon walking towards our table, I've noticed something on the floor of this establishment. At first I thought it might be a piece of food smashed onto the floor. NO!! Instead it was a smashed ROACH!!..Ewwww!! Just thinking back on it gives me shivers of terror and disgust! EWW...EWW..EWW!!! Needless to say, we had to turn around and leave this place before we could even sit and order any food. Do not want any surprises in our food either. As we were leaving, the lady behind the counter calls out in surprise, 'excuse me!' Told her we are leaving. It's not like we sat down and had ordered anything and left. Note to owner of the establishment, we left because we can't trust the handling of our food would be any better. Someone needs to be on top of the cleaning. What we witnessed shows lack in cleanliness. Hence the 1 star...pretty generous. read more

The experience I had with the staff was terrible. My boyfriend and I came here yesterday evening, my bf ordered his pho right away and I only got some egg rolls and I told the waiter I would keep the menu so that I could see what else I wanted once the appetizer came in. A few minutes go by and I tell the staff I would like to order some shrimp spring rolls (I'm not sure if the guy understood what I said bc he was older but he turns around towards the kitchen and starts yelling in what I assume to be Vietnamese). He didn't confirm my order at all and instead walked away. Well I'm sitting there and a few minutes go by and our original waiter comes back to the table and tells us they will NOT be putting an order for my spring rolls because supposedly they were closing in 5 minutes. Keep in mind we came around 7pm and the hours online and at the door say they close at 9pm. So the waiter literally walks away without saying anything else and maybe 10-15minutes go by and I'm sitting at the table waiting for my bf to finish eating when I hear the same waiter taking long lengthy orders on the phone for pick-up. Regardless if it was pick-up orders, I was already at the restaurant and it would have taken them a lot less time to do my quick order. But instead they literally refused to serve me so I didn't end up eating except for my 3 egg rolls LOL meanwhile I heard them take other orders right infront of me. I've never experienced such terrible service. I'm not sure if they refused service to me because they were being racist OR if they did it out of pure laziness but regardless if you refuse service to one person because you guys are "closing" then apply it to every single person as well. I started eating Pho in San Jose but moved to Gilroy and would keep going to SJ for Pho because there weren't any restaurants here in Gilroy that I really liked. Then M Noodle & Cafe opened up and I always like to give my small business owners a try. Now this is my go to Pho place in Gilroy. I agree with everyone's reviews that the owner is super friendly and attentive. For a while we were going every week! If you ever have a craving for Pho this is the place. I am pretty basic.
