I generally like M Shack's and this one is no different. The food is good. Portions are a little small but very tasty. The fries come out nice and hot. A large is big enough to share with several people. Prices can run a bit high. This location is a bit smaller than some of the others (Town Center and Five Points), but that's probably more to do with the amount of traffic those locations get. Overall a good dinner. I probably wouldn't go out of my way for it, but convenient if you are in the Nocatee area. read more

Ordered online via Chownow. Checked bag before leaving and saw there was an extra burger. My husband and I both verified number of burgers before placing order and was three. Not sure what happened in the app but wasn't offered any immediate help when telling employee. Decided to see if could get assistance from Chownow, unfortunately they just have you call the restaurant. Was placed on hold for a manager Charlie. He didn't come to the phone but instead told the employee we left with the burger so couldn't/wouldn't do anything. To add insult, we opened the burger after the unproductive phone call and there was not one BUT two hairs on the cheeseburger. Won't be back to this location due to poor quality/contaminated food and lack of responsiveness from restaurant management. Honestly, all times burgers were excellent, staff was courteous and I just freaking love their milkshake. I have tried a couple different burgers and it was always seasoned and very flavorful. He appears to want to better the situation by his response (smoke and mirrors) Sent email to him on Saturday 08/05/17. No response. It is now Thursday evening 08/10/17. Waited over 40 minutes for three hamburgers and two fry sides only to watch out order be served to another table.....server/manager advised sorry we're running about 35 minutes behind.... food finally came out after waiting nearly an hour.... fries were cold and I was left asking "where's the beef" with my hamburger... no toppings either.... my husbands food (not even sure what is was) looked like someone opened up a can of spam and slapped it on a hamburger bun...go somewhere else... will not recommend... staff seems clueless with no direction.... asked for our $40 (way overpriced) refund... manager offered no apology ether! read more

Meh. It's ok. It's incredibly over-priced. Example... a Hebrew National Hotdog on a Wonder Bread like roll. That's it. $6.00. 300% mark up. And that's just the hotdog. Burgers are ok. If you order online and pick up... they are never right, but it's not like you can send it back once you get home (Hint: If you are doing pick up... never leave before checking the bag). The only things I'd make the trip for is the totchos... they're great. They used to have a much better menu but now it's nothing more than you can get at the dozens of other places in the area. They are 5 minutes from my house and never a consideration when I don't want to cook... seriously... I actually have a $40 gift card that is almost 2 years old, just gathering dust. The best burger place around. The burgers are actually very good. I like the M burger with shack sauce the best, other popular items in my family include hard boiled egg on a build your own burger with cheddar, and the hot-diggity-dog (chili cheese hot dog). You can get fries or tater tots as sides and a drink (fill your own, lots of choices, free refills). The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5: some of the tall chairs are uncomfortable (the benches are much more comfortable), and it can also be very loud at peak hours (this can be a good thing if you have kids - no one will notice if they are noisy). read more

Staff all had a mask but you would have thought they were chin straps! One staff member came behind the bar with a mask on and pulled it down and started to eat candy. They were actively eating behind the bar and there was no regard for COVID procedures. It was shocking to see a business establishment behave in this manner so openly! read more

My family has been to two of the other locations so we were very excited that a new M Shack was opening in the neighborhood. My kids love the hand spun shakes in particular. I enjoy the burgers and have opted for the Cross Fit Burger my last few visits. This new location feels a bit smaller compared to the others. We went on a Tuesday night for dinner and although the wait wasn't very long, there weren't many open tables inside so we chose to eat in the outdoor seating area and combine a couple small tables to create a table for 4. The service was very good and we had several of the staff check in to see how everything was and if we needed anything. We'll be back. read more

Food was good but Sanitation and safety for Covid was very lacking. Did not spray counter or tables with disinfectant , kept using same dirty rag from-bar top to tables. I had to wipe down bar top with my own Sani-wipes because the counter smelled like old dishrag. Customers can get their own tea refills and lids are out In open for all to touch. Just wrong. Then at least 10 teenagers came in and crowded the takeout order area. So close they bumped into me with not even 10 inches behind me. I turned around and said very nicely 6 feet guys please. We recently moved to the area and love the convenience of the restaurants in the Nocatee area. However, after trying M Shack twice now, we just aren't impressed. The wait staff just seem to not care at all. Some wearing masks, some not. My burger came out rare when asked for medium well. I returned the burger and they forgot it was being recooked. After waiting 20 minutes, my recooked (not new) burger came out cold. No apology or anything. The other time we came the tater tots were still cold inside. I was a regular at m shack, but the new general manager really doesn't know how to run the place. He just sits on his computer with his back facing the door in a booth where people would want to sit. He doesn't help the staff out and I witnessed the teens running the restaurant asking him to do stuff because he was just sitting down. Shakes are always legit. Atmosphere is fun and friendly. Sometimes the food comes out slow but doesn't bother me because it's typically tasty. Fried pickles are seriously good as well as the glorified grilled cheese. Never disappointed here. read more

The burger, it's finally gotten better then they are killing it with a giant brioche bun. Can't taste anything but the stupid bread. This could be a goldmine in Nocatee and it's nice to see that after years of sucking and inconsistency they tried to make an effort. A failed effort. We have been coming here since it first opened burgers are usually awesome very disappointing Friday night. The hamburger buns were cold and bread was hard. Usually they are warm and toasted. I've been here many times with friends and family. Usually we get pretty decent burgers. Tonight however, they didn't live up to our usual expectations. 2 of us ordered our burgers medium, and one medium well. They all came out the same, pink in the middle, but were oddly also tough and chewy. Such a strange and unappetizing combination. And the fries were mediocre, not quite fresh. The shakes make this 4 star! Very good burgers. Tons of different options, making it VERY different than Wendy's across the street (not sure how they can even be compared as they have previously). Their service continues to improve and their bartenders seem friendly and knowledgeable. Asian burger is great. So is a simple bacon cheese burger. Love the tater tots. Always come out fresh and crispy. My wife really enjoys the turkey burgers. Love the peanut butter shake! Wish they'd add a PB&J shake (had one up north, loved it). Plenty of beer on tap or available via bottles. Full service bar, that includes outdoor service and plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly service. Great design and has been clean on all our visits. I would definitely say the one at the town center is better & cleaner - I love the mshack at the town center and since I was in the area I decided to come here. For starters, the food was not good. Both meals I ordered look liked they were prepared hours ago - cold and mushy. My fries were over cooked - they were very hard and inedible. Also, the jalapeños - disgusting; I eat jalapeños often and these were either soaked in something nasty or they weren't fresh. Overall, I am not impressed with this place. read more

Today was my first time to a M Shack and I have to be honest, it was a slight disappointment. I have been wanting to go here for a few months now and I've looked over their menu quite a few time and I guess I just expected a bit more not that the food was bad. I will start with the good.... Menu items are very unique. Atmosphere is very upbeat and lively Staff seemed to be hardworking. They got liquor!!!! For the price I was expecting a bigger burger to start with but what got me the most was the hamburger bun. If your ordering some high end gourmet burger, you would expect a gourmet bun right.....nope you get the smallest and cheapest bun you could find in a grocery store! I got a order of queso with my tots which I was looking forward to, only to have a flavorless, thick, Luke warm cheese sauce put in front of me. Really did not taste like queso at all! This place rocks! I am glad they continue to grow and hope they make it to Tallahassee sooner rather than later. I have been to one of their locations at least a dozen times and I am always impressed. I always order the insanity burger because anytime your buns are replaced with grilled cheese sandwiches as your buns, then you know things are good and you are in heaven. The burger is phenomenal. The flavor, moistness and size are perfect. Not sure if it is meant for one person but I always eat it on my own. Did I mention there is also cheese on the burger? Now the shakes are what takes this place to a new level. I normally order the large oreo cheesecake shake. Never been disappointed with this one. It has chunks of oreo and cheesecake that had to the thickness of it all. In fact, they give you a bigger straw because it is so thick--just like shakes are supposed to be.
