    Old-fashioned drink

Amazing ambience, the waiter Kevin was awesome and very knowledgeable! The food was so so good and even down to the cinnamon old fashioned. Definitely was a great experience on my 1st time in Columbus GA. 2 thumbs up!!

The service on a Monday at opening was top notch 5 stars! I had multiple people stop through out my meal to check on me and keep my water glass full and my other drink. Shortly after offering garlic bread it arrived within minutes hot and moist n crispy edges just the way I like! It was airy and fluffy! Not overly done with garlic seasoning just the right amount to know it's there! A few moments later my lasagna came out! Hot and delicious! Multiple layers of meat sauce and a top layer of mozzarella cheese! Not your typical lasagna but very good nonetheless! The ambience is old school with a slight dem twist! Lots of reds! Was very nice experience over all!

This place is really cute and such a hidden gem! We stopped by here one day after a long day at work and it was everything we wanted and more. They started us off with done delicious garlic bread. We ordered our drinks, which were so good! And then also ordered the bruschetta dip. I would say that the bruschetta dip was one of the best dishes that we had at this place. I honestly would come back here just for a drink and the bruschetta dip reviews. We also tried the pesto salmon and the blackened chicken spaghetti. Both the items were delicious, but the bruschetta dip with the garlic bread definitely took the cake. We ended the night with an affogato, which for eight dollars was definitely worth it. The service was great, and even though the bartender was the only one working the entire bar, she was attentive and kind. We can't wait to be back and try other things on the menu.

Mabella is hands down my favorite restaurant in Columbus, GA. The place is charming, I personally love the old-fashioned European bar ambiance. The service has always been great. The only thing that could improve is the seating arrangement, especially when you have a reservation for a date or special occasion... but hey, it is what it is, no big deal. Now, the food? Amazing! My go-to dish is the filet mignon with mushroom ravioli -- absolutely delicious. And don't even think about skipping dessert... their cheesecake is a must. Seriously, save room for it -- BEST CHEESECAKE EVER!

I started with the muscles for an appetizer. They are excellent with a hint of heat. If you can't do any spicy food don't try this. Drank a few beers that were nice and cold. The service was excellent and the whole place had a great vibe. The grouper was the best thing I ate there. I had a nice white 2022 SOLILOQUY wine, this was slightly sweet like honeysuckle with a little oak on the finish. For desert I had the tiramisu with a 30year dows port. The port was incredible the tiramisu was ok.

THE MOST AMAZING STEAKHOUSE. My husband and I went here and the service/food is impeccable. If you get the chance have the bartender Peyton make you a drink. She served me a gold rush (bourbon style drink) and it was to die for. Wesley has served us both times we have been there and he is also a delight. He knows all the specials , is so sweet, and truly makes the experience. The slightly darker ambient lighting and old vibes are my favorite. It's like a classy speakeasy vibe. The outside is also perfect for photos! I do not recommend the Midland location. Trust me - we live five minutes from the Midland location and this downtown location is well worth the drive!! They also have an affogato to die for. The hazelnut ice cream paired with the biscotti and espresso - IT IS THE BEST THING ON THE MENU. Right now it is vanilla ice cream and an amaretto cookie (not my favorite & I hope they change it back soon) The Mabella's filet dinner is always cooked to perfection and is bursting with flavor. If you need the perfect date night this is the place!!!

I came here for a special birthday dinner and had a lovely time. I was in town for a 2.5 week vegan retreat with a friend, and she smuggled me off campus to make my birthday wish of 'eating a ribeye as big as my head' come true. Enter Mabella! We arrived just as they were opening for the evening, and despite not having a reservation, they were able to squeeze us into a table. This is a traditional looking steakhouse with a very casual/approachable air, a wonderful overall vibe. The complimentary bread was fantastic--better than our actual starter which was a sort of mushroom toast. Just okay, we didnt finish it. For our mains, my friend opted for the loaded baked potato and a side of asparagus, both of which were huge! I had the ribeye with a side of steamed spinach and shaved brussel sprouts. Everything about my entree was very good, with the exception of the cook on the ribeye which was a bit too blue for me, but still tasted excellent. The spinach was bright green and just wilted, and the shaved brussels were a perfect bite of sweet and salty with the lardon and dates added. Service was very courteous, although we needed to request a few things multiple times (water, extra butter for the potato, etc). Overall, this meal scratched my itch for a meaty meal and I would come back again if I ever find myself in the area.

We did dinner at Mabella's Friday evening. We'd had a late lunch and weren't super hungry but wanted to honor our rezzie. My son and I had a couple old fashioned's, the Caesar salad and truffle ravioli with a petite filet. Service was great! Everything was delish. You should absolutely make a booking if you plan on coming for dinner as we watched many be turned away or have lengthy waits because this spot surely books up. My brother and his bestie use to have "Steak Friday" every Friday, I told my son this place could be a great spot for him and his friend for a Steak Friday tradition :) Great spot for date night, family dinner or any occasion. We'll surely return soon.

    Chicken Marsala

Absolutely delicious! Came with another couple. Everyone enjoyed steaks, while I chose the chicken Marsala. Apps, deserts, and cocktails were top notch as well. I would definitely suggest a glass of sangria, red, which was full of stone fruits. I will definitely be back!

The best meal I had while visiting Columbus! Had the house steak, and it was sooo smooth and buttery and seasoned to perfection. The sides were great too but let me tell you about their cheesecake: epic. Homemade, family recipe. What's not to love?

    Are Reservations required?!

I would say strongly suggested. If you are a party of 2 in an off peak time, you might be ok, but just to avoid a hassle, I would make a reservation.

In stark contrast, the Lemoncello Cheesecake Martini proved an absolute delight: rich, creamy, and lush with bright lemonade notes. Intensely satisfying and dangerously drinkable, one could happily indulge in a gallon of this velvety concoction. Service brought its own inconsistencies. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, cheerfully assisting with menu navigation. However, requests for ice water were met repeatedly with room-temperature glasses, requiring multiple reminders that never quite resolved the issue. The menu itself presented a minor puzzle--the dessert section was absent, leaving us uncertain whether a separate dessert menu existed or if options had simply been overlooked. The appetizers shone brightly. The Fried Green Tomatoes arrived as a visually stunning plate (we had already dispatched two of the four slices before snapping a photo). The breading was on the heavier side yet carried solid flavor, while the accompanying sauces stole the show. The marinara was exceptional--deep, fresh, and layered with complexity; one could easily envision bottling it. The cream sauce provided a lovely counterpoint to the vibrant pesto, which surprised me (as a general pesto skeptic) with its balanced texture and multifaceted flavor profile. The Burrata and Charcuterie-style starter was equally successful. Featuring a generous bowl of creamy burrata, two varieties of sweet jam, assorted cured meats, and crusty bread, it invited creative assembly into custom crostini. This interactive element added an innovative, playful touch while delivering robust, harmonious flavors. Unfortunately, the main courses told a more mixed story. The Sausage and Broccolini pasta was a clear disappointment. Visually, it arrived swimming in excess grease that overwhelmed the palate from the first few bites onward and very muted tones. While the pasta was perfectly cooked, the broccolini retained a pleasant crunch, and the sausage offered good initial flavor and texture, the sheer quantity of oil coated everything, rendering subsequent tastes one-dimensional and heavy. In hindsight, the Shrimp Caprese might have been the wiser choice, though the menu's lack of portion detail gave pause. My husband's Chicken Parmesan fared better. The cutlet showed a darker presentation that stopped short of burnt, and while the visual appeal suffered slightly, the flavor delivered. The pasta was cooked beautifully with a well-balanced sauce portion, and the generous cutlet itself was tender and satisfying--a solid, classic execution. Overall, the meal had moments of real brilliance, particularly in the appetizers and that unforgettable martini, tempered by execution missteps in temperature control and richness management. A restaurant with clear potential, though one that would benefit from tighter attention to fundamentals.

Both provided recommendations when ask and were extremely accommodating and personable. We ordered a bottle of the Grillo which was an excellent value and delicious white wine. I prefer Sauvignon Blanc and this did not disappoint. For dinner we tried the ravioli and meatball parm (Adrienne's recommendation) both were delicious! We have plenty of leftovers to last us. Ended the meal with house made absinthe (my partner swears it tasted like gummy bears) and limoncello. Do not sleep on Gabagool! Service was phenomenal, drinks were fun and food was delicious. We felt like we were at Nona's house!
